Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a protective circuit for electrical devices, in particular for electric motors, pre-thermal overload, whereby as temperature sensors Semiconductors with positive temperature coefficients of electrical resistance, so-called PTC thermistors are used. Due to their out talked about high positive resistance temperature coefficient increases with increasing temperature the resistance value of the PTC thermistor in the range the nominal response temperature almost abruptly over several tens zen.
B. Drehstrommoto ren eingebaut. The DIN defines the thermal winding protection of electric motors 44 081 the resistance value of the PTC thermistor in the so-called Nominal response temperature with R <1330 Ohm. Generally, three will be in series switched PTC thermistors in the winding phases of e.g. B. Three-phase motor built in.
Fig. 1 and Fig. 1a represent this protection circuit and its resistance-temperature characteristic for PTC thermistors each with the same nominal response temperature. This results in a total resistance of the series circuit of <4000 ohms when the nominal response temperature is reached / exceeded. A commercially available tripping device coupled to the protective circuit triggers a shutdown of the unit to be monitored at these 4000 ohms. The tripping devices are dimensioned so that they are switched on again when the resistance falls below 2000 ohms. Due to the resistance-temperature characteristics, the protective circuit reduces its total resistance to <2000 ohms when the PTC thermistors are cooled by approx. 2 ° C and the unit to be protected is switched on again. This usually leads to undesirably fast switching cycles (prior art to DE 27 00 841, in particular its Fig. 2), which put extreme strain on the units to be protected.
This deficiency is caused, for example, by the additional installation of (Electromechanical bimetal) thermal switch with lower switching temperature as that of the PTC thermistor fixed, the motor only switched on again switches and voltage is applied to the PTC thermistor when the tempe temperature of the motor below the lower switching temperature of the thermo switch has dropped (DE 27 00 841). The disadvantage here is the increased up wall for the thermal switch and its system-related higher wear.
The disadvantages mentioned apply to an even greater extent for a circuit Main and auxiliary relays too, with the PTC thermistors in series with the windings are switched to the auxiliary relay (DE 28 22 010).
In a further known protective circuit of the type mentioned at the outset a step-shaped characteristic of the temperature resistance function and thus a clear distance between switch-off and switch-on temperature achieved that the PTC thermistor or low response temperature by a switching element, preferably a Zener diode, are bridged. If more right PTC thermistors with low response temperature are connected in series, then are bridged together by such a switching element (DE 195 40 625). Because of the high thermal sensitivity of junction conductors the Zener diodes can only be used to a limited extent in the temperature monitoring area be classified. Furthermore, miniaturization even as SMD version the overall circuit is limited by these Zener diodes. The latter determined the possible degree of miniaturization. As indicated above, arranged outside the temperature monitoring area, so are additional che connection lines required.
The invention is therefore based on the object, with little effort adjustable, extremely minia largely independent of the ambient temperature Turisable temperature protection circuit for the protection of electrical devices, esp especially of electric motors, against thermal overload with step character teristics of the temperature resistance function and with a series scarf To create PTC thermistors graded nominal response temperature.
This object is achieved by the invention described in the claims solved.
Durch die erfindungsgemäße Lösung
By the solution according to the invention
The Zener diodes are replaced by ohmic resistors, which only with one low temperature dependency
In terms of circuitry, sufficient resistance jumps can be made if possible realize a slight increase in the "plateau" and
The ohmic resistances can be smaller than that in their dimensions Execute PTC thermistors, making the level of miniaturization practical is limited only by the dimensions of the latter.
Die beigefügten Zeichnungen stellen dar:The invention is explained in more detail below using five exemplary embodiments. The attached drawings show:

Figs. 2 and 3 show a circuit diagram clearly shows the principal differences between the last acknowledged prior art (FIG. 3) and the solution fiction, modern (FIG. 2). In addition to the use of ohmic resistors R 1 and R 2 according to the invention, this is above all the fact that the PTC thermistors of low nominal response temperature 2 and 3 are individually bridged by the ohmic resistors R 1 and R 2 , while the Zener diode 9 in FIG. 2 bridges both PTC thermistors with low nominal response temperature 2 and 3 . The thermistors with the highest, mutually identical nominal response temperature 1 , 1 'and 1 ''are the actual temperature sensors. As a result of the series connection, they result in a logical "AND-OR", ie the switch-off takes place when the permissible temperature corresponding to the highest nominal response temperature is exceeded on at least one of the three PTC thermistors 1 , 1 'and 1 ''.
The following FIGS. 4 to 8 are easily understood from the appended claims. However, they are primarily intended for a single-phase motor with only one PTC thermistor for switching off with the highest nominal response temperature of 150 ° C.
Fig. 9 shows the desired step-like temperature resistance function, where the "plateaus" each give a certain temperature range, where a temperature change in the desired manner does not yet trigger a switching operation. The selection of the PTC thermistors with the low nominal response temperatures in combination with the resistors R 1 and R 2 determine the position and the width of the plateaus. The first plateau could be used to trigger a warning lamp and the second to switch on an additional fan, while the electrical device or electric motor to be protected is only switched off at 150 ° C. Even during the cooling phase of the z. B. electric motor, the protective circuit goes through the same temperature-resistance function, so that the resistance stages can also be used for switching operations in this phase. When using a commercially available trigger device with a 2000 ohm restart threshold, the switch-on process only takes place after cooling down to the range of the nominal response temperature of the thermistor with the lowest nominal response temperature.
