Abstract

When not in use, the rain and snow protection flap (1) is built into the roof of a motor vehicle, or is integrated into a vehicle roof rack. When used, it covers an area to the side or rear of the vehicle, protecting a wheel chair, its user, and one helper standing. The rain and snow protection flap is moved in and out electrically. It is adaptable to all motor cars, vans and buses. USE/ADVANTAGE - To protect against rain and snow a wheelchair and its user plus one standing helper in boarding or alighting from a motor vehicle.

Description

Rain protection according to the preamble of claim 1 is such. B. from WO 89/9 589 A1. The This rain cover is attached directly to the wheelchair and is therefore when loading or unloading the roll chairs in or out of a car are not usable.

A car is a road vehicle that transports people; this can be a minibus, a Limousine, caravan etc.

Weather protection for a car is e.g. B. known from DE 37 12 282 A1. Here, however, only the Trolley itself and not its user protected.

There is an increasing desire and possibility for wheelchair users to become more mobile; on the one hand by the constantly improving wheelchairs, on the other hand by the possibility of special The development of cars for wheelchair users is supported. It is no longer a rarity that a wheelchair driver can drive in a car specially tailored to his skills. It is possible that the Wheelchair users get into a wheelchair from their car without help. It is also increasing the possibility of using taxis and buses that can be used by wheelchairs.

Problems arise when it rains. The wheelchair is placed on the street and the wheelchair user sets yourself in. When it rains, the wheelchair is in the rain for a few minutes, the seat gets wet, the wheelchair user sits on a wet seat and, before he can open his umbrella, from below and wet upstairs. This makes the wheelchair user dependent on the weather. For working wheelchair users this is one Problem. In the rain and snow he can make appointments such as B. with customers, business partners or authorities that, do not keep. He has to wait in the wheelchair-accessible car until the rain or snow subsides has. Even the non-working wheelchair user is dependent on the weather and can make appointments with the doctor Authorities or in the rehabilitation clinic without appearing soaking wet, and so is in his mo limited.

Knowing this problem, they are beginning to set up covered disabled parking spaces. But these are only available in certain places (residential parking lot, authorities, train stations, public buildings), not in sufficient density. This cuts the mobility of the car with the wheelchair user. It is better if every wheelchair-accessible car has rain protection for getting in and out of the wheelchair offers.

The specified in claim 1 is based on the problem that a wheelchair user with his car is on the road, has no possibility in rain and snow to get into a dry roll to put chair.

Based on a rain cover of the type mentioned, the problem is characterized by the nenden features of claim 1 solved.

The advantages achieved by the invention are that a wheelchair user in rain and snow can get dry from the car into his wheelchair and also the wheelchair during the time he is in the rear is not getting wet. The rain cover can be extended so far and so high that the Wheelchair and its driver have enough space and depending on the degree of disability, a helping standing Person with under this rain cover can put. The wheelchair-accessible car does not need one specially covered parking for disabled people at specified locations, but is self-sufficient and enables his driver to get from his car to his wheelchair in a dry place wherever he wants.

An advantageous embodiment of the invention is given in claim 2.
