Abstract

A thumb dagger consists of a baseplate with an attached cylindrical crown. The baseplate is curved to suit the shape of the inside surface of the thumb and is held in place by a clip which fits over the thumb. The baseplate supports a hollow open-ended cylinder with a sharp edge formed around the open end. This sharp edge is divided into segments by V shaped notches. A sharp pointed pin is mounted centrally in the cylinder. The lower end of the pin is fastened to the base whilst the point extends beyond the sharp edge of the cylinder.
