Abstract

The display cell has a liquid crystal layer sandwiched between a relatively large and a relatively small surface area glass plate (1,5), the conductor paths (8) carried by the projecting part (3) of the larger surface area glass plate (1) comprising an indicia tin oxide layer and a vapour deposited nickel layer. A precious metal layer is applied over the nickel layer of at least part of the conductor path pattern carried by the projecting part (3). Flüssigkristall-Anzeigevorrichtung mit einer zwischen einer kleineren Deckplatte und einer größeren Deckplatte aus Glas eingeschlossenen Flüssigkristallschicht und einem Leiterbahnenmuster auf dem überstehenden Teil der größeren Deckplatte, das aus einer ITO-Schicht und einer darauf stromlos abgeschiedenen Nickelschicht besteht, dadurch ge­ kennzeichnet, daß zumindest auf einem Teil des Leiterbah­ nenmusters (8) auf dem überstehenden Teil (3) der größeren Deckplatte (1) auf der Nickelschicht stromlos eine Edelme­ tallschicht abgeschieden ist.1.
