Description

Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Schwefeldioxyd aus den Sulfaten der alkalischen Erden, des Magnesiums oder Eisens. Gemäß dem Hauptverfahren werden zur Gewinnting von Schwefeldioxyd die Sulfate der alkalischen Erden, des Magnesiums oder Eisens mit metallischem Eisen oder auch anderen durch Wasserstoffleicht reduzierbaren Schwermetallen oder auch deren niederen Oxyden durch Erhitzung in Gegenwart erweichenrler Flußmittel zur Reaktion gebracht, und zwar gemäß einer weiteren Erfindung der Anm°-1-derin in solchen Mengen, wie sie zur Bildung von Stilfit hinreichend sind. Es wurde nun gefunden, daß man mit Erfolg auch die Reduktionsmittel in solchen Mengen verwenden kann, wie sie zur Bildung von Schwefelmetallen (Sulfiden) hinreichend sind und auch im 1'berschuß, wenn man das Reduktionsprodukt darauf mit einem Gemenge von Wasserdampf und Luft auf höhere Temperatur bringt, wodurch sich der Schwefel der Sulfide als Schwefeldioxyd entwickelt.Process for the production of sulfur dioxide from the sulphates of the alkaline Earth, magnesium or iron. Schwefelcliaxyd aus den Sulfaten <ler alkalischen Erden, des :fIagnesitims oder Eisens mit Hilfe von metallischem Eisen oder anderen durch Wasserstoff reduzierbaren Schwerinetallen oder deren niederen Oxyden oder Gemischen dieser Reduktionsmittel nach Patent 386295, dadurch gekennzeichnet, claß die Reduktionsmittel in Mengen Verwendung finden, «-elche zur Erzeugung von Schwefelmetall ausreichend sind, worauf durch Erhitzen des Reduktionsproduktes in einem Strom von sauerstoffhaltigen Gasen und Wasserdampf der Schwefel zu Dioxyd oxydiert wird. a. Ausführungsform nach Anspruch i, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß Eisen bzw. die durch Wasserstoff reduzierbaren aii(lcren Metalle oder niederen Oxide teilweise durch Kohle oder reduzierl)areyGase ersetzt werden. 3.
