Washbasin or sink. Washbasins and sinks in which the valve plate
of the water outlet in the basin with a float protruding into a bucket like this
is related that the valve is closed when the bucket is full, are already
known. However, these facilities had the disadvantage that by the swimmer
but the closure of the drain pipe was not a complete one.
This drawback is made by the subject matter of the present invention
thereby eliminating that the final plate of the tube under the action of a
Tension spring stands, the longitudinal axis of which in the lowest position of the float above
the axis of rotation of the float lever so that the spring acts in the opening direction,
while when the float is raised slightly after the dead center has been exceeded
Spring this exerts its pulling action and the lever snaps up, so that the valve plate
closes the drain pipe of the vessel under pressure.
In the drawing, an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown, namely Fig. I and 2 each show a vertical section through the washstand, Fig. 3 a longitudinal section and Fig. Q. a cross section through the valve arrangement along the line AB in Fig. 3. The. Washing or rinsing vessel a is provided with a tube b which has a valve seat at the bottom which can be closed off by the valve plate d. The latter sits on the slightly bent long arm of an angle lever e with the float f; the short arm of the lever is formed from two parallel brackets e 'which are rotatably seated on brackets 1, d' which are attached to the drainage pipe b . The axis of rotation of the tabs e 'form short axle pins m, which are closed by disks m', so that there is a free space between them. The lugs 1, l ' are stiffened by transverse pins P, s; the latter serves as a stop for a nose y of each tab e 'in order to limit the deflection of the angle lever e in the opening sense. A tension spring o is attached on the one hand to the transverse pin p, on the other hand suspended in the opening of a small plate q, which is connected to the lever e, e '. The arrangement of the spring o is such that its longitudinal axis, as long as the float is not raised, runs slightly above the axis of rotation of the angle lever formed by the pins in.
k.The collecting vessel g of the washing or sink unit a rests on a roller frame
k.
Hierauf drückt man
The device works as follows: In the rest position, in which the spring o acts in the opening direction on the angle lever e, e ', the lugs y push against the stop s of the fixed tabs 1, 1'. When the water rises in the collecting vessel g, it will finally reach the float f and raise it (Fig. I). The short lever arm e 'dragged along in this movement will pivot about its axis and within a short time bring the spring o from its end position acting in the opening sense over the dead center position, so that now the tensile force of the spring comes into effect and the lever arm e snaps up. The valve plate d arranged on the latter lies under pressure in the valve seat of the drain pipe b and seals the latter tightly. The collecting vessel g, which stands on the frame k, can now be rolled out of the barrier and emptied and brought back to its place. The valve is then pushed back into the open position by hand and the collecting vessel can fill up again.
