Description
BeschreibungDescription
The invention relates to a closed spacer frame for safety laminated glass panes made of a material with a U-shaped cross section, which spacers two silicate glass panes, the space between which is filled with a salt and water-containing gel within the frame area and which is provided with a sealant on the outside between the silicate glass panes projecting beyond the frame.
Such a spacer frame for fire-resistant glass panes is known from DE-OS 30 37 015. The cavity between the panes, which are kept apart by the frame, is filled with a gel containing water and salt. In the event of a fire, after the pane facing the fire shatters, the water evaporates and a layer of salt forms on the second pane, resulting in high thermal insulation. In this way, the second pane stays cold for a considerable time and thus forms a barrier to the fire.
According to the above-mentioned DE-OS, the spacer frame is made up of four profile sections that are held together by corner connectors. The corner connectors are insert angles made of deep-drawn sheet metal with three sections angled at 45° to each other. They have a complicated shape due to recesses and projections, so that complex tools are required to manufacture them. For different profile widths of the spacer frame, suitable corner connectors are required. The corner connectors then have to be inserted into the profile sections by hand, which means a lot of work.
The invention is based on the object of specifying a spacer frame that can be manufactured with little effort and for the production of which no complicated tools are required.
According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the spacer frame is formed from a one-piece profile material cut to length, which is provided with a notch on each of its two flanks at the frame corners to be formed and is bent, and which is connected to one another at its two ends.
The spacer frame according to the invention can advantageously be designed so that the notches are V-shaped.
The spacer frame according to the invention can also be designed in an advantageous manner so that the connection is made by a spot weld covering the ends of the profile material on the central web of the profile material.
The spacer frame according to the invention can also be designed in an advantageous manner so that the connection is made by a spot weld covering the ends of the profile material on one or both flanks of the profile material.
The spacer frame according to the invention can also be designed in an advantageous manner so that the central web of the profile material is provided with two punched filling openings located diagonally opposite one another in the spacer frame.
The spacer frame according to the invention can also be designed in an advantageous manner so that the flanks of the profile material are bent inwards.
The spacer frame according to the invention can also be designed in an advantageous manner so that stainless steel is used as the profile material.
The invention has the advantage that no corner connectors are required for the spacer frame.
The strictly U-shaped cross-section of the frame profile can be designed with a small flank width. The total edge area, which results from the sum of the flank width and the height of the sealant layer, is therefore very narrow. With a flank width of approx. 5 to 6 mm and a height of the sealant layer of max. 4 mm, the total area is only max. 10 mm. This ensures that the gel filling reaches as close as possible to the edge of the insulating glass. This is an advantage with regard to the fire behavior of the gel-filled safety laminated glass panes. This also means that particularly narrow glass retaining strips can be used to attach the panes in a glazing system.
The width of the central web of the profile can be designed in any width, so that the desired volume can be created between the two silicate glass panes via the variable pane spacing.
In den zugehörigen Zeichnungen zeigenThe invention will be explained in more detail below using an embodiment. The accompanying drawings show

Der Abstandsrahmen 2 ist aus einem U-förmigenFig. 1 shows the cross-section of a safety laminated glass pane. The two thermally prestressed silicate glass panes 1 are spaced apart by a spacer frame 2. The spacer frame 2 is made of a U-shaped
Profile material, whereby the side flanks of the U-profile are additionally bent inwards at a right angle over a short length. The spacer frame 2 and the two silicate glass panes form a cavity 3, which is later filled in a known manner with a gel containing water and salt.
When assembling the individual parts of such a safety laminated glass pane, an adhesive layer 4 is applied to both sides of the spacer frame 2, for which isobutylene is suitable. The silicate glass panes 1 are then placed on the adhesive layer 4 and pressed. The width and length of the spacer frame 2 are kept slightly smaller than the width and length of the silicate glass panes 1. The space thus created on the outside above the spacer frame 2 between the silicate glass panes 1 is then sealed with a sealant 5. A polyurethane or a polysulfide is suitable as a sealant.
After the sealant 5 has hardened, the cavity 3 is filled with the liquid that forms the gel in a known manner. Since the gel is highly aggressive due to its high salt content, a corrosion-resistant material is required for the spacer frame 1 and stainless steel is preferably used.
Fig. 3 zeigt anschaulich diese Ausklinkungen 6.According to the invention, a profile material is used for the spacer frame 2, which is cut from an endless profile to a length that corresponds to the respective pane size and is notched in a V shape on both lateral flanks at the four points that will later form the corners of the frame. Fig. 3 clearly shows these notches 6.
Die Befüllungs-For later filling of the cavity 3, two filling openings 2 are also provided in the middle web of the U-shaped profile, which are preferably punched out. One such filling opening 7 is shown in Fig. 4. The filling
Openings 7 are advantageously arranged so that they are diagonally opposite one another in the finished spacer frame 2.
The profile prepared in this way can simply be bent at the notches 6 to form a spacer frame. In order to initially give the spacer frame 2 support, it is connected with a welding point at the point where the profile's interfaces meet.
Fig. 2 shows the spacer frame 2 according to the invention in the finished state. Further processing to form a complete safety laminated glass pane can then be carried out in the known manner described above.
