Verfahren zur Herstellung von wasserdispergierbaren Aluminiumpasten und deren Verwendung .Process for the production of water-dispersible aluminum pastes and their use .
Benzin-Aluminiumpasten liegt der Restbenzingehalt im allgemeinen bei etwa 35 '/°- In the manufacture of water-dispersible aluminum paste is nowadays mainly proceeded in a manner that the aluminum in an organic grinding liquid, preferably (Test) Ben zin, finely comminuted or milled, wherein the milling liquid issung a grinding aid to avoid Kaltverschwe of the metal is added. Waxy substances, often stearic acid, are used for this purpose. After completion of the grinding process, the grinding liquid is as far removed from the ground material, generally by pressing on a filter press that a product pasty consistency obtained wix \. In the case of the so-called gasoline- aluminum pastes available on the market, the residual gasoline content is generally around 35 '/ ° -
Since an aluminum paste produced in this way is not dispersible in water due to its gasoline content and

Therefore, if it were to show sufficient reactivity for the generation of hydrogen in aqueous media, a relatively large proportion of surface-active substances (emulsifiers), up to approx. 10 % based on the aluminum content of the paste, would have to be added to the paste. This is effective For some purposes, this has a detrimental effect on the reaction process. This also applies to the production of aerated concrete, where a high proportion of emulsifier in the aluminum paste adversely affects the blowing process. A gasoline-containing aluminum paste also has all the disadvantages that arise from the hazards associated with the gasoline content and the in Relatively complex and therefore expensive protective regulations to be observed in this context. So far, aluminum powder has been used in cases where the use of a water-dispersible aluminum paste would have been desirable and the likewise not inconsiderable dangers caused by the easy flammability caused by dust mixtures of these powders. These dangers exist both with the manufacturer and with the processor of such powders. There are always fires and explosions there. This has led to the fact that the aluminum powder manufacturing and processing companies have to take into account considerable official requirements and restrictions for the handling of aluminum powder.
Aluminium-Wasserpasten ergeben sich im übrigen Schwierigkeiten hinsichtlich der Lagerfähigkeit sowie ungenügenderAlso in the production of aluminum paste by grinding of aluminum in the aqueous phase are fires and explosions caused by the formation of hydrogen during reaction processes between aluminum and water, cannot be ruled out. When using the known, so-called aluminum water pastes, difficulties also arise in terms of shelf life and insufficient

Dispergierfähigkeit als Folge einer -Agglomeration ^er Aluminiumteilchen. Dispersibility as a result of an agglomeration of aluminum particles.
The invention is based on the object in which Production of a water-dispersible aluminum paste to proceed in such a way that while maintaining the application technology Advantages of a paste containing water as a peeling agent, especially in the production of aerated concrete, which was previously associated with the production and use of a so-called water paste Disadvantages or dangers are excluded. To solve this problem, the invention proposes that the aluminum in a manner known per se with an organic grinding liquid, preferably (test) gasoline and a hydrophobic one Grind the (inhibiting) protective film on the grinding aid forming the metal particles and, after the grinding process, the grinding liquid is at least largely replaced by water as a pasting agent. It can be proceeded in such a way that after grinding, the grinding liquid is squeezed off as far as possible in a conventional manner, that is to say on a filter press and then the remaining solvent residue is largely removed by other means, e.g. by drying then the amount of water required for the paste is added. It has been shown that after the Invention a so-called. Water paste with an aluminum part of up to 65 wt .- / ö can be obtained. Such a paste is before especially well suited for aerated concrete production.
Diese Voraussetzung wird durch Verwen-During the production of the aluminum paste according to the invention or hydrophobic or inhibiting protective film produced on the aluminum particles during the grinding of the aluminum be designed in such a way that it can be easily removed later in the course of using the paste, for example by chemical conversion. This requirement is met by using

The paste is brought together with an alkaline (calcareous) medium, in which the acid is saponified and thereby detached from the metal particles. The dispersibility of the inventive Paste and the detachment of the hydrophobic protective film can be effectively promoted by the fact that the aqueous Paste liquid a surface-active substance (emulsifier) is added. Only a much smaller amount is required for this than for achieving water dispersibility a gasoline-containing aluminum paste. It has been shown that 1 to 2 percent by weight of emulsifier, based on the aluminum content the paste according to the invention are sufficient.
Dieser Filterpresskuchen wird mit Wasser, dem, bezogen auf die fertige Paste, 3 % des unter der geschützten Warenbezeichnung Lensex auf dem Markt befindlichen Natriumalkylsulfonats als oberflächenaktive Substanz100 kg of aluminum grits with a size of less than 400 microns are poured into a ball mill with 100 liters of white spirit and 3 kg of stearic acid (as a lubricant and inhibitor) given. This has a diameter of 1 m, a length of 4 m and is about 3500 kg balls in size 5 - 15 mm filled. After a running time of 5 hours, the mixture is strongly diluted by further adding white spirit, pumped out of the mill and placed on a 120 micron sieve sieved. The sieve passage is pressed on a filter press so that a residual benzine content of approx. 15% remains. This filter press cake is mixed with water, which, based on the finished paste, is 3% of the protected trade name Lensex on the market Sodium alkyl sulfonate as a surfactant

According to Example 1, a filter press cake with 15% residual benzine content is produced. Following this , the press paste obtained is further dried to remove the grinding liquid further, in the extreme case to a residual benzine content of 0 jo. This product is in turn supplemented with the surfactant solution in the manner described above to form a 65% aluminum paste.
