Abstract
The aerial is intended for receiving television signals in the VHF and UHF bands. The dipoles of the high frequency aerial, and the associated parallel conductors of the their lead, are enclosed in a housing of insulating material. This protects the aerial from the weather and oscillations caused by wind turbulence which can introduce distortion by setting up vibrations sufficient to affect the phasing of the signals. The low frequency dipole loop can be fixed to the housing and is thereby also given greater stability. The end of the assembly has a clamp which is used for fastening it to an upright supporting member.
