Bei dem elektrischen^Widerstandsschweißverfahren nach Patent 224879, bei welchem eine Gleichstromquelle in^einer Kondensatorschaltung mit einem Schweißtransformator zur Anwendung kommt, macht sich, wenn der Transformator in Reihe mit einem Kondensator liegt, der Übelstand bemerkbar, daß bei nicht geschlossenem · sekundären Stromkreis des Transformators, d. h. in den Arbeitspausen und bei mangelhaftem Stromschluß in bzw. an den Schweißstücken der Transformator als Drosselspule wirkt, und daß infolgedessen starke Funkenbildung an dem Stromwender eintritt, der bei Umwandlung des zur Verfügung stehenden Gleichstromes in Wechselstrom als wesentlicher Bestandteil mitwirkt.
