Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Veraschung radioaktiver Abfaelle und zur Vorbereitung brennbarer, radioaktiver Abfaelle zur umweltschuetzenden Lagerung und eine Vorrichtung zur Durchfuehrung des Verfahrens. Hierzu werden Abfaelle mit geringen und hohen Heizwerten zusammengestellt und in einen Veraschungsofen in der Weise eingebracht, dass der zur Veraschung erforderliche Energiebedarf, ausgenommen den zur Vorwaermung in der Anfahrphase benoetigte Teil, aus den Abfaellen selbst bestritten wird. Es koennen sowohl feste als auch fluessige Abfaelle in den Ofen eingebracht und verbrannt werden. Die aufgrund unterschiedlicher Heizwerte der zur Veraschung gebrachten Abfaelle auftretenden, verschieden hohen Temperaturanstiege in den waehrend der Veraschungsreaktionen entstehenden Rauchgasen werden lediglich durch Kuehlung begrenzt. Die festen Reaktionsprodukte werden in fixierbarer Form in Behaelter ausgetragen und in diesen zu lagerfaehigen Bloecken verfestigt. Die Rauchgase werden vollstaendig und ausschliesslich unter Ausnutzung der Eigenenergie nachverbrannt und gereinigt. Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einem konventionellen Unterwindgeblaese, das mehrere dem Vorwaermer des Ofens und der Rauchgasfilter dienende Winderhitzer bekannter Bauart versorgt, aus einem Ofen mit einer Beschickungseinrichtung, einer Einrichtung zum Einbringen von Fluessigkeiten und einer Einrichtung zum Austragen der festen Reaktionsprodukte, aus mehreren Rauchgasfiltern, die ueber eine Rau...U.S.WThe invention relates to a method for incinerating radioactive waste and preparing combustible radioactive waste for environmentally friendly storage and a device for carrying out the method.
