Um dabei ein Mitreißen von Öl aus dem Kurbelgehäuse und damit beträchtliche Ölverluste zu vermeiden, ist es bereits bekannt, in diese Entlüftungsleitung einen Olabscheider einzubauen. Der Ölabscheider weist bisher einen Beruhigungs- bzw. Entspannungsraum auf, in den die Entlüftungsleitung vom Kurbelgehäuse her einmündet. Bei der Entspannung der aus der Entlüftungsleitung austretenden Gase werden größere Öltropfen durch Schwerkraftwirkung ausgeschieden. Die Gase steigen dann auf, passieren ein Feinfilter und gelangen dann erst in das Ansaugrohr od. dgl.. Nachteilig ist hiebei, daß der Beruhigungs-bzw. Entspannungsraum, der gleichzeitig als Olssmmelraum dient, keine Rilckflußleitung zum Kurbelgehäuse besitzt. Dieser Raum muß daher von Zeit zu Zeit entleert werden, was selbstverständlich den Stillstand der Maschine voraussetzt. Wenn man bedenkt, daß bei größeren Mehrsylindermotoren durch die Entlüftungsleitung O1 in einer Menge von etwa 1/2 l/min gefördert wird, ist es klar, daß der Ölsammelraum des Abscheiders einerseits verhältnismäßig große Abmessungen erhalten muß, anderseite die Betriebsdauer bis nur Entleerunl des Ölsammelraumes turn ist.
