Description
Verbesserungsmittel für Schmieröle Zur Herstellung sogenannter Mehrbereichsöle, wie sie insbesondere für Motore für Kraftfahrzeuge benötigt werden, verwendet man Mineralölraffinate geeigneter Viskosititslasen, die ausser den üblichen Additiven noch Lösungen von Polvmeren in Verdünnungsölen enthalten. Diese dienen zur Verbesserung des Viskositätsindex und werden als Viskositätsindexverbesserer (" V.I.-Improver ") bezeichnet. Die Polvmeren sollen die Viskosität des Öles in der Kälte kaum, in der Hitze jedoch stark erhöhen. Das Schmieröl gewinnt dadurch die wertvolle Eigenschaft des Mehrbereichsöles. 3eim Schmieren von Motoren oder Getrieben vereinigen sie gutes Kälte- mit gutem Hitzeverhalten.
