Die in Fig. 1 vereinfacht dargestellte Espresso-Maschine 10 enthält einen Wasserbehälter 12 mit einem Überdruckventil 14. Wird das Wasser erhitzt, so treibt der entstehende Druck es nach oben durch den Ansatz 16b, den gemahlenen Kaffee im Filtereinsatz 16 und schließlich das Rohr 18b in den Oberteil 18, aus dem der fertige Espresso-Kaffee dann ausgegossen werden kann.
