Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a system for monitoring egg electrostatic atomizer after the one in the upper handle of claim 1 defined in more detail.
It is generally known in manufacturing processes that Quality based on random samples and specially triggered to evaluate the most measurements. The disadvantage with this the general procedure is time only after the production diagnostic process zeze. Namely, this means that a malfunction and / or a defect in the manufacturing system only through the occurrence of one or more errors manufactured components can be recognized.
Especially for painting systems for vehicle bodies en is the effort, incorrectly painted bodies rework, significantly. Also in this case also the amount of work involved um, here the paint, especially high. Another The disadvantage here is also due to the environmental impact to see the unnecessarily high paint consumption.
One of the most common in paint shops Failure is caused by a malfunction on one Paint sprayer, mostly an electrostatic High performance atomizer, triggered. The malfunction nen, which are characterized by insufficiently flat lacquer surface chen (runner, drop formation, rough spots) at the fer components that are painted almost always towards dirt on the atomizer return. The pollution could be relative be easily eliminated in an automated fer However, they are only approved in exceptional cases knows, since the operating personnel of the system do not have a direct has contact with the atomizers.
It is therefore an object of the present invention Creating system where during painting Signs of a possible impending loss of quality due to dirt and / or defects on the electro static atomizers.
According to the invention, this task is characterized by the drawing part of claim 1 mentioned features solved.
As with the electrostatic high-performance atomizers by arranged next to the actual atomizer Electrodes the paint droplets a correspondingly high Voltage potential compared to the earthed, too lackie renden component, here in particular a vehicle body series, and the also grounded atomizer, in such a system, there is a current flow in Form of gas discharge, from the electrodes to the Component on the one hand and from the electrodes to the Zer dust on the other hand. This flow of electricity and the pots Differential can be measured. When working Atomizers, d. H. when painting takes place, can one can now assume that the external conditions such as air humidity, air temperature, air sink speed speed, paint properties, amount of paint and amount of air practically not change. Therefore the electri characteristics of the atomizer at least approximately remain constant.
By monitoring the electrical parameters on Atomizers, here in a particularly advantageous Wei the voltage-current ratio is monitored a very simple and effective monitoring of ge entire atomizer unit enables.
If the measured voltage changes- Current ratio during a painting process, so can from this to an error, especially an increasing one nem pollution of the atomizer, who closed the.
Due to the pollution of the front, rotating, the actual atomizing area, the so-called bell plates, one is increasingly set thicker layer of lacquer on this bell plate and thus impedes the flow of current from the electrode the grounded atomizer. This also turns the electricity flow from the electrode to the vehicle body flows, that is, the resistance of the gas discharges changes. If you measure the total resistance of this two voltage-current ratios, one can Change in resistance to the onset of contamination and close an impending malfunction of the atomizer eat.
Now a warning signal can be activated and the Zer dust can be cleaned, e.g. B. by the operator staff of the facility, experienced before the pollution the quality of the painted components beats.
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the subclaims and the successor based on the drawing shown in principle Embodiment.

Fig. 1 shows an electrostatic high-performance atomizer 1 , which is composed in principle of a basic body 2 and a bell 3 . The electrical connection elements 4 and several high-voltage candles 5 or electrodes 5 can be recognized on the base body 2 . Usually six to eight electric 5 are arranged in a circle around the bell 3 . In the illustrated embodiment, only three electrodes 5 can be seen .
On the side of the bell 3 facing away from the base body 2 , it has a bell plate 6 . This bell plate 6 or at least a portion of this bell plate 6 performs a rapid rotary movement and takes over the supply of the lacquer into an air stream, through which the actual atomization of the lacquer to be atomized takes place. Paint and compressed air are fed into the bell 3 by ge separate supply elements (not shown).
In FIG. 2 shows a section through the bell cup. 6 As described, compressed air and paint flow to the bell plate 6 . The paint passes through a paint feed 7 , which is provided with a valve (not shown), onto a rotating conveyor plate 8 .
Due to the rapid rotational movement of the conveyor plate 8 , the paint flows radially outward on the conveyor plate 8 and reaches along the underside of a separating element 9 arranged above the conveyor plate 8 to its outer periphery 10 . On the top of the Tren nelements 9 moves a stream of compressed air, which entrains the paint particles in the area of the circumference 10 as paint droplets 11 and thus atomizes the paint.
This mixture of air and paint droplets 11 then reaches a component 12 to be painted or the vehicle body 12 to be painted, as can be seen in FIG. 3. The mixture of air and paint droplets 11 moves past the electrodes 5 , the paint droplets 11 flying through an electrostatic field 13 and being charged. The charged NEN droplets 11 then preferably settle on the grounded vehicle body 12 . Due to the electrical attraction between paint droplets 11 and vehicle body 12 , the paint droplets 11 also reach areas of the vehicle body 12 which they would not reach in a normal paint spraying process, such as, for. B. undercuts. This is based on the fact that paint droplets 11 which are sprayed past them by the atomizing compressed air at the vehicle body 12 are braked by the electrical attraction between paint droplets 11 and the vehicle body 12 and are moved back to the vehicle body 12 .
Furthermore, it is shown in principle in FIG. 3 that the electrostatic high-performance atomizer 1 itself is also grounded. This is necessary to avoid charging the paint to be atomized on the bell plate 6 and thus the complete system with paint storage tanks, metering pump and paint delivery and paint supply system (all not shown) to the corresponding potential difference.
In Fig. 4, an equivalent circuit diagram for the schematic principle of the electrostatic Hochlei stungszerst atomizer 1 is shown. The circuit diagram shows a current source, which, for. B. can be designed as a regulated constant current source, and has an integrated sensor system 14 for detecting the current I or the current intensity I.
An electrical resistance denoted by R g summarizes the gas discharge resistances between the electrode 5 and the bell cup 6 and between the electrode 5 and the vehicle body 12 . A voltage U Re across the total resistance R e of the electrodes 5 is detected by a measuring sensor 15 known per se for resistance measurement. The voltage U Re depends on whether painting is carried out or not. Decisive for this state is the change in resistance R g , which can easily be determined by a data processing unit (not shown) via the constant and / or measured current I and voltage value U Re . The voltage U Re becomes smaller during painting than when not painting, since a current flows through the charges transported by the atomized paint from the electrodes 5 to the vehicle body 12 or to the atomizer 1 . The change in voltage U Re is approximately 20 kV. When painting begins, the voltage value U Re settles to about 80 kV, which remains almost constant during the painting process with at least approximately constant external process parameters.
However, the absolute voltage value level U Re is dependent on the following influencing parameters: structure of the atomizer 1 (six or eight electrodes 5 ), air humidity, air temperature, air sinking speed, paint properties, paint amount, compressed air amount, bell bell speed and the area of the vehicle body 12 , with Paint is coated (e.g. sunroof, fenders, wheel arch).
This means that the monitoring of the absolute voltage value U Re presupposes constant or at least approximately constant values of the above-mentioned influencing parameters, since the monitoring could otherwise provide highly falsified values. If this constancy of influence parameters is reasonably guaranteed over the relatively short period of time for each individual paint job, contamination of the atomizer 1 can be seen from a decrease in the absolute voltage value U Re . If the atomizer 1 has reached a certain degree of pollution, which is shown by the drop in the absolute voltage value U Re below a predetermined limit value, then a cleaning break must be taken. Such a cleaning of the atomizer 1 or the bell plate 6 can ensure the consistently high quality of the coating.
Another sign of an impending loss of quality in painting is also when the voltage signal U Re has a lot of noise. This then indicates malfunctions in the electrostatic field, which might be to look for in damage to one or more of the electrodes 5 .
The actual monitoring of the voltage value U Re is carried out by the data processing unit. The voltage value U Re is monitored by means of a limit value to be set automatically for the corresponding vehicle body subareas. A distinctive finite state machine that uses a discredited feed signal, a color number and a speed value of a metering pump as input signals is used to differentiate according to the boundary conditions to be specified, i.e. the body part area, the color type and the color quantity. The state machine is generated automatically using these signals. A diagnosis function is then assigned to each state, with the required limit values being automatically generated from special training data.
By combining all the data available to it, the data processing unit can use simple logical functions to lock the individual environmental conditions, such as air temperature, humidity, air sink speed, compressed air volume and bell speed, against each other. In this case, a signal indicating the pollution of the atomizer 1 or an alarm is only triggered when the absolute voltage value U Re moves beyond the limit value determined as a function of the boundary conditions, the ambient conditions remaining approximately constant. This minimizes the number of false alarms that can be attributed to changing environmental conditions.
Due to moisture or solvent on the atomizer About that introduced by an atomizer cleaning error measurements or misinterpretation tions of the measured values come because the wet trollable currents can flow in the system. Around the system by ver from atomizer cleaning will not cause unnecessary stresses on errors because after cleaning the atomizer with a pre did not set time lag for a period of time supervised. However, since this is immediately after a cer dust cleaning is done at this time is oh not with pollution-related quality pro blemen to count.
