Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a mobile hot air blower with a tubular or tunnel-shaped housing, at least one gas burner, at least one axial fan to promote the to be heated Air, as well as with the ignition, regulation, control and safety devices required for operation.
Mobile hot air blowers of the aforementioned type are so far only in designs with a cable to Connection to a power source outside the device. The engine of the for Delivery of the amount of air required to provide the required axial fan is always electrical driven. From the current source mentioned to operate the axial fan and the rest electrical equipment required auxiliary energy in the form of an available network or Battery voltage removed. Such mobile hot air blowers are mainly with Liquefied gas operated and used in the entire construction, agriculture and in Horticulture, for thawing, tempering and keeping pipes and systems in and frost-free especially as emergency heaters. To be placed on such a hot air blower Requirements are the highest possible mobility, low volume and light weight, as well diverse application options that are largely independent of aggravating conditions.
To operate the described mobile hot air blower is in addition to the connection to the Gas supply (e.g. LPG bottle) always requires connection to a power source. The effort for the supply with the auxiliary energy to be taken from it can be an issue be multiple of the effort for heating energy supply with gas, for. B. if for the Power supply to the hot air blower creates a building connection or a generator must be operated. Because the types of use of such heaters vary widely and the Conditions at the place of use are often not predictable, is the disadvantage of the required power connection for the range of applications of considerable Meaning. In particular, the use of such warm air blowers in emergency and rescue services, Market stalls, agriculture, horticulture, municipal objects and mobile police units, border guards and the military because of the additional power supply required limited. Gas-powered are known and often used as substitutes for these applications Radiant heaters that do not require an additional power connection, but primarily only that heat illuminated objects and not the room or ambient air as desired.
The invention is based, mobile, gas-heated hot air blowers from the task to make an additional connection to a power supply on site independent and thereby to expand the range of applications to areas in which conventional devices can only be used increased effort or can not be used at all.
This object is achieved in a generic hot air blower according to claim 1. causes an auxiliary energy storage device to be integrated into the device or as an exchange unit trained is firmly connected to the device, and that the fan motor and the regulating, control, Safety and possibly ignition devices set up for supply from the auxiliary energy store will. Appropriate configurations result from the subclaims.
The advantages achieved with the invention are that of independence from one Power supply at the place of use caused expansion of the application spectrum and in the Reduction in the number of heater variants to be kept by device rental companies and those Users who have to cover both applications with and without power supply. Farther the handling of such devices is facilitated by the lack of a power cord. The security is increased because the dangers of tripping over power cables and possibly caused thereby and with Risk of fire caused by overturning of heating devices has been eliminated. After full charge of the Auxiliary energy storage can e.g. B. a warm air blower of the widely used class up to 14 kW Heating output approx. 8 hours without interruption without external power supply are operated, the weight of the device type mentioned as an example compared to a conventional warm air blower is only increased from approx. 7.5 kg to approx. 10 kg. Ultimately, it can Device according to the invention in a particularly expedient embodiment using a built-in or a separate charger like a conventional warm air blower can be operated on the power grid without restriction of the period of use.
The invention based on the drawing, in which a mobile as an embodiment Warm air blower with auxiliary energy storage is shown schematically in longitudinal section, closer described.
The mobile liquefied gas warm air blower shown in the drawing has a tubular housing 1 which is provided with a carrying handle 2 and with a base 3 designed as a switchgear and gas connection box. A combustion chamber 4 is arranged in the tubular housing 1 and is protected against contact by a front protective grille 5 and a rear protective grille 6 . Behind the combustion chamber 4 , a fan blade 7 is provided which is driven by a fan motor 8 and which conveys a fixedly specified or changeable amount of air through the housing 1 and the combustion chamber 4 in the direction of the arrow. In the combustion chamber 4 there is a burner plate 9 on which a gas burner 10 is arranged. The gas burner 10 is ignited when the gas supply is released by means of an ignition electrode 11 . The continuity of the flame is monitored by a flame monitor 12 , which can be designed as a photo element, photo resistor, thermocouple or ionization electrode. In the event of the flame being extinguished, the flame monitor 12 shuts off the gas supply. A safety thermostat 13 causes the gas supply to be switched off in the event of an impermissible increase in temperature due to impaired air flow or in the event of a defect in the fan blade 7 or the fan motor 8 . A control unit 14 provided in the substructure 3 is connected to the gas burner 10 , the fan motor 8 , the flame monitor 12 and the safety thermostat 13 and is supplied from the auxiliary energy store 16 via a voltage monitoring module 15 . The auxiliary energy store 16 can consist of a rechargeable secondary battery / rechargeable battery or of an easily replaceable primary battery. To recharge the secondary battery / rechargeable battery, a charger (not shown ) installed in the substructure 3 or to be installed separately can be used. In the case of the built-in charger, this can be used both for charging the secondary battery in the device and for direct, unlimited use of the device from the power supply if there is one. In the case of the charger to be set up separately, in addition to the functions described for the built-in charger, it can charge a removable battery while the device is being operated with a different removable battery.
