Die Zahnprothesenklammer mit Kunststoff- oder Gummiüberzug hat
gegenüber der blanken Zahnprothesenklammer, wie diese bisheute in der Zahnpraxis eingeführt ist, den Vorteil, daß die Zähne, an
denen die Zahnprothese mittels dieser Klammern mit Kunststoff·*·
oder Gummiüberzug befestigt wird, nicht mehr beschädigt werden.
Bekanntlich entsteht beim Kauen von Speisen zwischen Prothesenklammer
und Zahn eine Reibung, durch welche der Zahnschmelz am echten Zahn beschädigt wird. Die Polgen davon sind Erkrankung des
Zahns und Unbrauchbarkeit der Zahnprothese. Die Zahnprothesenklammer mit Kunststoff- oder Gummiüberzug hat den weiteren Vorteil,
daß die Prothese einen besseren Halt bekommt, indem die Elastizität des Kunststoff- oder Gummiüberzugs und der damit verbundene
Wegfall der schädlichen Reibung am Zahn es ermöglichen, der Klammer eine stärkere Spannung zu geben. Auch was Schönheit
anbelangt, ist der Kunststoff- oder Gummiüberzug vorteilhafter als der blanke Draht, weil er je nach Wunsch in der Farbe des
