Description
The invention relates to a free-jet centrifuge for Separation of the solid from a liquid-solid / substance mixture with at least two in the centrifugal tube mel coaxially arranged in one another, annular separating spaces, which from the central over the drum hub supplied liquid-solid mixture can be flowed through one after the other and in each case axially.
In a known free-jet centrifuge of this type (FR-PS 10 89 071), the separation spaces are from the inside flows through to the outside. The solids to be deposited on the outside, such as metal abrasion, dirt particles or the like. flow in the same direction as the carrier liquid to be cleaned.
AS 11 51 222).A free-jet centrifuge with an annular separating space to which the liquid-solid mixture is already known is also known is fed centrally via the drum hub and from which the cleaned liquid is inside is discharged again (DT-AS 11 51 222).
The invention is based on the object of providing a free-jet centrifuge of the type mentioned at the beginning to design that the separation effect is improved by changing the flow.
To solve this problem it is provided according to the invention that the separation spaces so with the inlet and are connected to the drain for the liquid-solid mixture to be separated that their flow in the Sequence is done from the outside in.
In the free-jet centrifuge according to the invention, the solids migrate due to the centrifugal force radially outwards to the separating walls of the separation spaces opposite to the radial flow component of the liquid-solid mixture of outside in. This significantly improves the separation effect.
Advantageous refinements of the invention are specified in the subclaims.
An embodiment of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing.
The free-jet centrifuge shown has a base part 26 and a top part 27 in the form of an inverted beaker.
The base part 26 carries an upwardly projecting cylindrical flange 26A, the upper edge of which is sealed with a sealing ring 29 with respect to the lower edge of the upper housing part 27. The base part 26 has an inlet channel 30 for the liquid-solid mixture to be cleaned. The inlet channel 30 is formed in a diametrically extending memory-like section of the base part, so that there is a free connection between an outlet 31 for the cleaned liquid and the chamber which is enclosed by the base part 26 and the upper housing part 27. The drain 31 carries at its lower end a flange 32, by means of which the base part can be screwed to the housing of a motor or other device which has an opening for receiving the purified liquid, e.g. B. of purified oil. In the middle of the base part 26 an upwardly projecting tubular extension 26/4 is provided, the bore of which communicates with the inlet channel 30 and which forms a support for the lower end of a vertically arranged drum hub 33 for a rotor drum 39, 40. The upper part of the hub 33 is solid, while its lower end has a longitudinal bore which forms an extension of the inlet channel 30 and leads to a plurality of radial openings 34. The upper end of the hub 33 is supported by the upper end of the upper housing part 27 and carries a nut 35 which braces the upper housing part 27 with the base part 26.
A J "" tube 37 is mounted on the hub 33 by means of bearings 36 and 36/4, the middle part of which is separated from the hub 33 by a distance which forms a flow channel. The middle section of the tubular component 37 has radial openings 38 which form inlet openings which lead to the interior of the rotor drum 39, 40. The rotor drum has an upper cup-like component 39 and a lower cup-like component 40, which are connected to one another at their ends facing one another and sealed with the aid of a sealing ring. The lower component 40 has two depressions or pockets 41 in its lower end wall, each of which is provided with a free jet or reaction nozzle 42 with a tangential liquid outlet. A first screen with a radial deflecting element 43 and a jacket 43 A protruding downward from its edge, which is at a considerable distance from the hub 37 and surrounds a second separating space, is coaxially arranged on the hub 37. The upper end of a second screen 44, the jacket of which is arranged radially between that of the first screen and the hub 37 and encloses a third separating space, abuts the screen 43, 43/4 in a sealing manner. At the lower end, the screen 44 is provided with a cone which also opens at the bottom and has a large opening angle, which separates a drainage space 46 feeding the free jet nozzles 42 from the first separating space 45. The screens 43, 43/1 and 44 are held in their position by a compression spring 47, the lower end of which is supported on the upper side of the deflecting element 43 and the upper end of which is supported on a spring plate 48.
Eingang desThe liquid-solid mixture to be cleaned enters the hollow hub 37 at the bottom and passes through the Inlet openings 38 to the first separating space 45. Since the deflection element 43 is present, the mixture must then flow outward to the outer peripheral zone of the first separation space 45 before it goes to the open lower End of the second separation space or entrance of the
Can get overflow, which is formed by the annular space between the screens 43, 43A and 44. From the upper end of this second separation space, the already largely cleaned mixture then passes through openings 44A to the last annular separation space between the screen 44 and the hub 37 and from there to the drainage space 46, from which the cleaned liquid can escape via the free jet nozzles 42. Before the liquid can enter the overflow space between the screens 43/4 and 44, the axial component of the flow direction of the mixture flowing downwards up to now is reversed so that it flows axially upwards in the direction of the inlet openings 38, the mixture out the lower outer peripheral zones of the first separation space 45 is withdrawn.
