Fig. La is a side view of a frame, trestle or holder for a stack of panels and shows the unloading from the lifting head. Fig. 2 is a perspective View of the lifting head n = »ch Fig. 1 from below and shows the arrangement for lifting of the plates.
Fig. 3 is a partial cross-section, on an enlarged scale, of one corner of the elevator head showing the manner in which the vacuum holds the stack of plates in the elevator head. Fig. 4 is a top plan view taken along line 4-4 in Fig. 1 showing the formation of the endless conveyor belt.
FIG. 5 is a side view of the conveyor belt according to FIG. 4 with devices for lifting a plate in the direction of the stack.
Fig. 6 is a modified form of the invention in which the stack of plates is arranged vertically . FIG. 7 is a view similar to that of FIG. La, in which the frame or the bracket is designed so that it can hold the stack of FIG. As shown in the drawings, a pair of spaced rails 2 and 3 are attached to an overhead bracket 1. In order to be able to move, a trolley 4 is held by rollers 5 and 6 on the rails. A hanger 7 hangs down from the trolley 4 and carries a pivot bearing 8 to which a bracket 9 is articulated .
For moving and holding the holder 9 in the set position, devices are shown for manual, mechanical, hydraulic or other operation in a known manner. The lifting head consists of an upper part 1o and sides 11 and 12 at right angles to each other and to the upper part 1o. The bottom and the other two sides of the box-like lifting head are open. The sides 11 and 12 are hollow, ie provided with openings 13 which can be connected via a line 14 to a device for generating negative pressure Z; n. Inside the lifting head there is an alignment plate 15 which is attached to an actuator 16, the latter being a hydraulic piston to move the stack of plates up and down. The ceiling 17 of the plate 15 is perforated and covers a cavity 18 in the plate. Sides 19 and 20 of the lifting head are also perforated so that connecting openings can be formed with the cavity 13 of the lifting head. The bottom of the lift head is open to allow entry of the panels. Devices are provided for covering or covering parts 21 and 22 which are present above the top of the alignment plate 15 at their individual positions set. Such devices can be, for example, roller curtains which are mounted on the plate 15 and are fastened with the free ends to the connecting points of the upper part 10 and sides 11 and 12 of the head. Seals 23 are provided on the sides of the lifting head and the alignment plate that works together with it, in order to avoid a loss of negative pressure. Such seals are usually made of lus, rubber or other elastic material. According to FIG. 1, an endless sports device 25 for transporting the plates 26, for example made of glass, is attached under the head and its associated parts and runs around rollers 27. If there is already a plate stack 28 held in the lifting head by the negative pressure. and when another plate is to be added, the transpartvorrihtung is stopped so that the plate 261 is directly under the stack. The actuator 16 is driven to lower the stack to such an extent that it touches the plate 26 ', as best shown in FIG. The plate assumes the position 26 "and comes into contact with the seal 23. The S-tensile force of the negative pressure in the cavity 13 pulls the air = .tn the edges 29 of the plates and out of the space between the stack and the plate and holds the latter in this way as part of the stack. Because of the Abdeckun- gen 21, 22 is no loss of negative pressure above the adjustment to. in another operation of the apparatus according to the invention corresponding to FIG. 1, the lifting head moved slightly vertically downwards , the stack 28 rests d-.tß luf the plate 261 At the touch of the actuator moves the 1-alignment plate 15 vertically, so that the plate 2äl k assume the position 26 '.% nn. In other words, the alignment plate must move up in order to include the new plate 26t. When the lifting head has stored the correct number of plates, it moves. the entire arrangement along the rails 2 and 3 until it comes out of the area of the transport device from which the material was removed. The lifting head is then rotated in the direction of arrow 32 according to FIG. 1 a and lowered onto the frame. In order to store the stack, it will be directly applied to a frame according to Fig. La.- The frame has a base plate 30 and an oblique side 31. The angle of the slope is about 70. The holder 9 is pivoted in the direction of arrow 32 until it is directly above the frame. The vacuum is released and the stack falls onto the frame with the inclination shown, without the risk of glass breakage occurring.
