Die Erfindung betrifft eine Richtantenne mit RichtantenneThe invention relates to a directional antenna with a directional antenna
mehreren vor einem gemeinsamen Reflektor in einerseveral in front of a common reflector in one
Zeile angeordneten, miteinander im wesentlichen Arranged in a row, essentially with one another
This directional antenna is - as usual - both for transmitting and also suitable for receiving electromagnetic energy. In order to simplify the description In the following, reference is only made to their function in the case of transmission.
In a known directional antenna of this type, the main radiation directions of the individual run Horn antennae approximately parallel to each other and perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of their common, at feed waveguide fed into it at one end. The individual horn radiators are at connection points on these connected, the continuous mutual spacing of which is the same (USA.-Patent 2718 592). The individual horn radiators are connected to their feeder waveguides via curved waveguides connected.
The object on which the invention is based resides in such a design of the one described above Directional antenna that its directional diagram - possibly also during operation - while maintaining a uniform phase front can be deformed in any predetermined manner, for example when used as an antenna in a mobile ground-based precision approach radar system an airfield is significant when hangars and similar fixed targets, which are disturbing in the radar image, are removed from the The detection area of the radar system should be hidden.
The invention is thus based on a directional antenna with several in front of a common reflector arranged in a row, mutually substantially coincident horn radiators, their mutually approximately parallel main radiation directions approximately perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of their common and fed at one end of the feed waveguide, to which they individually over Waveguides are connected to connection points whose continuous mutual spacing approximates is the same, each connecting waveguide is curved in the direction of the feed waveguide that its wall facing away from this merges into a wall of the feed waveguide, while the extension the wall facing the feed waveguide forms a septum projecting into the feed waveguide, which serves as a power divider.
In this directional antenna, the invention is that each of these partitions as to change the cross section of the connecting waveguide formed at its connection point movable metal membrane is and that between the connection points in the feed waveguide separately adjustable phase shifters are provided.
It is known per se, in a directional antenna with several in front of a common reflector in one Row arranged, mutually substantially coincident horn radiators separated from each other Provide adjustable power dividers and phase shifter by setting the power divider and phase shifter to be able to set a predetermined directional diagram (French patent specification 1021643).
Hierbei zeigtOn the basis of the figures, a particularly advantageous embodiment of the invention is shown below described in detail. Here shows

The directional antenna according to the invention according to FIG. 1 consists of five next to each other in a row arranged individual horn antennas 1 to 5, which are aligned such that their main radiation directions 6 to 10 in a common point on the mirror skin of a not shown, in front of these Hit the parabolic reflector located in the horn antenna.

Die variable Leistungsaufteilung für die einzelnen Hornstrahler erfolgt über Leistungsteiler 17, die variable Einstellung der Phase der den einzelnen Hornstrahlern zugeführten Energie über Phasenschieber 18.The horn radiators are connected to the feed waveguide 16 via curved waveguides 11 to 15. the variable power distribution for the individual horn radiators takes place via power splitter 17, the variable Adjustment of the phase of the energy supplied to the individual horn radiators via phase shifter 18.
At the feed waveguide 16, the curved waveguide 13 is connected. Due to the resilient, approximately 0.2 mm thick bronze membrane 19 takes place the power distribution of the fed from the lower part of the waveguide 16 in the figure Energy on the upper part of this waveguide and the curved connecting waveguide 13 depending on the position of the adjusting screws 20 and 21, which - to avoid electrical losses - via pins made of low-loss material, such as fiberglass pins 22 and 23, allow the bronze membrane 19 to move in the axial direction of the screws.
As can be seen from FIG. 3, FIG represents. 3 is a section through the waveguide of FIG. 2 in the direction AA, the bronze membrane is provided with corrugations 24 19 so that they can be readily formed elastically with the adjusting screws to the for to be able to occupy the required spatial location for the desired division of services. At its edges 25, the bronze membrane is firmly connected to the narrow sides 26 and 27 of the feed waveguide 16.
The fiber optic pins 22 and 23 cause interference ■ for the electromagnetic fields. These interfering effects can be caused by compensating pins arranged at a distance of η · A / 4, where η = 1, 3, 5 ... and A denote the wavelength in the waveguide, but preferably at a distance of A / 4 from these interfering points 28, for example also fiberglass pins, cancel.
The in F i g. Phase shifters 18 shown in FIG. 1 are known per se. They are made of dielectric material in the form of paired disks with a width that essentially corresponds to the internal dimensions of the Narrow sides 26, 27 of the feed waveguide 16 correspond, and are at least at one end, shown in FIG Example case, however, tapering arrow-shaped at both ends in order to reflect the reflections caused by them reduce electromagnetic waves. By setting means not shown in detail, for example Screws and fiber optic pins, these phase shifters are perpendicular to the plane of the display Fig. 1 so displaceable, wherein the phase shifter pairs to move towards each other that any phase setting by each individual phase shifter between 0 and 360 ° is possible. Of course, any other suitable Phase shifters can be used in place of the phase shifters 18 shown.
Auch ist es häufig zweckmäßig, an sich bekannte Mittel zur Ferneinstellung zumindest der Leistungsteiler vorzusehen.F i g. 4 illustrates an example of the antenna according to the invention according to Fig. 1 adjustable, here cosec2 -shaped antenna directivity pattern, plotted as a relative field strength (S over the angle α to the main direction of radiation. This is the solid curve 32 is the desired curve, the curve 33, the Characteristic measured with horn antenna 3 of the directional antenna according to FIG. 1, curve 34 that of horn antenna 2 of the directional antenna according to FIG. 1, curve 35 that of horn antenna 1 of the directional antenna according to FIG. 1 and curve 36 that results from the individual characteristics The measured deviations of the resulting radiation diagram from the theoretical target values are in each case less than 2 db, mostly even less than 1 db all but the horn radiator just considered with an anechoic, power-absorbing M aterially covered so that they did not contribute to the radiation. The overall characteristic resulting from the superposition of the individual characteristics of the horn antennae 3, 4 and 5 of the directional antenna according to FIG. 1 is not shown in FIG. 4, since it is mirror-symmetrical to the curves shown. In practical measurements it has been found that the phase shifters only need to be adjusted very rarely, normally only during the first adjustment of the directional antenna according to the invention. To generate a different type of directional diagram, usually only the power dividers have to be adjusted. If necessary, scales can be provided on the setting means for the power dividers or raster devices for preselected, special types of diagrams, which allow a particularly quick and easy diagram change. It is also often expedient to provide means known per se for remote setting of at least the power dividers.
