Procedure to avoid over-saving at the output of tube-regulated
DC voltage sources during the heating process of the electron tubes The invention
refers to a method of avoiding overvoltages at the output of
Tube-regulated DC voltage sources during the heating of the electron tubes.
They are preferably DC voltage sources fed from the mains
known where in series with the consumer a power electron tube as
Actuator is switched, which is controlled by one or more electron tubes
is, this control tube (s) in turn from part of the parallel to the consumer
occurring voltage is controlled. By using indirectly heated electron tubes
can be dangerous when switched on with DC voltage sources regulated in this way
overvoltages occur at the output. It can also cause unwanted vibrations during
occur during the heating-up time of the tubes. There are already known arrangements in which
mechanical relays are used. One known arrangement is parallel
to the output of the supply source a series connection of an auxiliary tube with an electromagnetic one
Relay arranged. In the grid-cathode circle of the auxiliary tube there is an RC element, where
the capacitor is parallel to the grid-cathode path and to the relay. The resistance
of the RC element is at the tap of a voltage divider, one end of which is directly
with one pole of the supply source and with the other end via a switching contact
of the relay is connected to the other pole of the supply source. It is also a
electronically controlled power supply known in which for the controlling the actuator
Electron tube a filter element is provided for filtering out the ripple voltage.
The invention has set itself the task of eliminating the above-mentioned disadvantages
to be avoided without the need for mechanical contacts. The invention consists in
that the voltage at the control electrode is designed as a cathode or emitter follower
Actuator when switching on the source after an exponential function with such a large time constant
that the nominal value of the output voltage rises only after all electron tubes have been heated up
is reached. According to a further training, the one controlling the actuator receives
Electron tubes adjust their operating voltage via a with a correspondingly large time constant
afflicted limb. The increase in voltage at the control electrode of the is advantageous
Actuator when switching on the source by a voltage-dependent resistor
delayed, which is controlled via the time constant element and after the heating up of the
Electron tubes is de-energized. The control electrode of the actuator is expedient
decoupled from the time constant element by an impedance converter.
Figuren gleiche Bezugszeichen.
Elemente dargestellt. The invention is illustrated by means of one of the FIGS. 1 to 4 of the exemplary embodiment shown schematically. The same elements have the same reference symbols in the figures. Since tube-regulated DC voltage sources are known per se, only the elements necessary for understanding the invention are shown in the figures.
Anheizzeit. The F i g. 1 shows a basic embodiment according to the invention. The electron tube 1, which acts as an actuator, has its anode at the plus point of the rectifier 2, which emits an unregulated voltage, and its cathode is connected to the output terminal 3, to which a consumer 4 is connected. A voltage divider 6 connected to the output terminals 3, 5 supplies a partial voltage to a control tube 7 . The reference voltage is generated by a glow lamp 8 . The anode and the control grid of the tubes 1, 7 are directly connected to one another. The external resistance of the tube 7 is denoted by 9. The arrangement of the tubes 1, 7 described so far is known in principle. According to the invention, the external resistance 9 of the control tube 7 is connected to a time constant element which consists of a resistor 10 and a capacitor 11 . This element is connected to the plus and minus pole of the rectifier 2. The element 10, 11 is dimensioned so that the time constant resulting from 10 and 11 is greater than the heating time of at least the tube 7 . The anode voltage of the tube 7 rises slowly when the arrangement is switched on and only has its full value when the tube 7 is safely heated. As a result of these measures, overvoltages can neither occur at output 3, 5 while the tubes are being heated up, nor does the amplifier 7, 1 oscillate during the heating-up time.
The F i g. 2 shows a design which results in a greater gain for the tube 7 , since a greater voltage drop occurs at the external resistance. The time constant element 10, 11 is coupled to the anode of the control tube 7 via a voltage-dependent resistor 12. The polarity of the resistor is such that it is conductive during the heating of the tube 7 and is then blocked by the potential at the element 10, 11. In the operating state of the arrangement, the member 10, 11 is then switched off from the tube 7. The full operating voltage is fed to the anode resistor 9 of the tube 7 , in contrast to the design according to FIG. 1, in which the operating voltage is reduced by the voltage drop of the resistor 10.
The F i g. 3 shows an embodiment in which the RC element 10, 11 is connected to the external resistance 9 of the tube 7 via a cathode follower 13 . 14 is the cathode resistance of the tube 13. As a result, this RC element can be made high-resistance, so that the capacitor 11 can be small in value. 4 shows the same design with a coupling via the voltage-dependent resistor 12 and full operating voltage for the external resistor 9 of the control tube 7.
