The invention relates to a conveying and pressing drum for agricultural stalk and leaf crops, wherein on the shaft of the conveyor and press drum rigid conveyor arms in at least two radially staggered rows are arranged, the individual lengths of which are shorter than the length of the conveyor and press drum.
It is already known to have rigid conveyor arms on a conveyor and press drum in at least two radially offset rows parallel to the axis of rotation on the shaft of the conveyor and To arrange press drum.
It is also already known to arrange the conveyor arms so that they each form a row, the length of which corresponds to about half or a third of the length of the conveying and pressing drum, with preferably three such rows offset in the axial direction, each offset by 120 ° radially to one another are arranged on the conveyor drum. However, this known design has the disadvantage that in each case too large a mass of crop must be accelerated at the same time, including a considerable momentary Force is required, especially when the conveyor and press drum, for example a loading channel for self-loading wagons with vertical or almost vertical feeding of the crop is assigned from below into the cargo space. This is namely from the currently engaged The conveyor arm row not only moves or accelerates the crop currently to be conveyed, but also the mass of the crop already in the hold above the loading channel must be raised further at the same time. Immediately behind one leaving the loading channel In the conveyor arm row, the crop sinks back down a little in the loading channel, with the backward movement of the cargo is reduced by the arrangement of so-called backstops, however is not avoided. The following one, which takes effect immediately afterwards and is arranged laterally offset In addition to the crop, the conveyor arm row must then have the currently active conveyor arm row immediately loaded, including the one that had come to rest in the loading channel next door, moved back Raise the crop or at least part of it again. Repeat the same process immediately afterwards again through the following, again, which then becomes effective laterally offset conveyor arm row. At z. B. three radial and axially offset conveyor arm rows accordingly, the harvested crop in the loading channel is divided into three separate

wird.alternately promoted or accelerated in bursts.
The large amount of force required by the intermittent promotion of a relatively large mass of harvested crop is additionally increased by the fact that the crop is torn and possibly torn at the contact surfaces of the individual, more or less individually conveyed paths. In a conveyor and press drum with z. B. three Förderarmreihen is also the effective succession of the individual Förderarmreihen not sufficient, because at the moment when one Förderarmreihen leaves the loading channel, the following Förderarmzeile not so far in the Förderbzw. Loading channel is moved in to effectively prevent the crop from sinking back. The already mentioned backstops require a further additional force, as they protrude into the loading channel in a sawtooth shape and thereby narrow the loading channel locally, whereby a very strong friction of the crop occurs on the individual inclined edges of the backstop, and in particular soft green forage in particular often does not occur crushed or torn to the desired extent.
To avoid these disadvantages, it has already been proposed that the conveyor arms be helical to be arranged on the shaft of the conveying and pressing drum, thereby ensuring a more uniform conveying of the crop in the loading channel. In this known arrangement, however, the contact pressure of the crop against the more or less individually standing conveyor arms relatively much large, which makes it especially with soft green forage ζ. B. beet leaf, there is a risk that the individual conveyor arms tracks into the crop
