PATENTANSPRÜCHE : 1. Verfahren zum Färben von lebenden Haaren mit einer neutralen oder schwach alkalisch, vorzugsweise ammoniakalisch eingestellten Lösung, Creme oder Paste, die Oxydationsfarbstoffe enthält, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das verwendete Färbemittel a) 1,4-Diaminobenzol oder 1,4-Aminophenol oder deren Homologe sowie b) 1,3-Diaminobenzol und/oder 1,3-Aminophenol und/oder 1,3-Dioxybenzol und/oder deren Homologe in vorzugsweise solchem Verhältnis enthält, daß auf 1 Mol der unter a) genannten Verbindungen 1 Mol der unter b) genannten Verbindungen entfallut und daß man ohne Mitverwendung einer sauerstoffabgebenden Verbindung färbt.
