Description
DEUTSCHESGERMAN
The usual arrangements of beds for heavy duty roll grinders are carried out by several, e.g. B. formed three, but above all four guide spars that are parallel to each other and their actual guide surfaces run horizontally and at the same height. With the mentioned heavy versions are the two front guideways to accommodate the grinding or rotary supports, the two rear ones for holding the tailstock and if necessary the steady rests provided.
Diese bekannten Ausführungen haben den Nachteil, daß für hohe Bearbeitungsleistungen das Maschinenbett, vor allem aber die Befestigung des oder der Supporte, des Reitstockes und gegebenenfalls der Lünetten nicht starr genug ausgebildet werden kann, so daß bei Walzenschleif maschinen die bearbeitete Oberfläche nicht einwandfrei wird und bei Drehbänken außerdem noch die in neuerer Zeit für hohe Leistungen ausschließlich verwendeten Karbidmeißel zerstört werden;These known designs have the disadvantage that the machine bed, but above all the attachment of the support (s), the tailstock and, if applicable, the steady rests can not be made rigid enough, so that the machined surface in roll grinding machines is not flawless and, in the case of lathes, it has only recently been used for high performance used carbide chisels are destroyed;
Lünettenführung an Betten schwerer WalzenschleifmaschinenIt has already proposed guides on beds of roll grinders, where under the Workpiece a horizontal guideway in the direction of the grinding wheel beyond the workpiece protrudes; It is also known to have a further guideway that rises obliquely backwards behind the workpiece to be provided. The horizontal path takes the vertical components and the inclined path the inclined components of the resultant formed from workpiece weight and machining action on. In the meantime, these were usually universal grinding machines, where the rigid Storage of the workpiece no particular difficulties in view of the small dimensions of the workpiece. These grinding machines are therefore not to be regarded as heavy machine tools. In contrast, the invention relates to heavy roll grinding machines such as those used for machining used by grooved rolls in rolling mills. These rollers have such a large one Diameter and are accordingly so heavy that the bed of such a grinding machine guides must have, which are arranged at a relatively low height above the floor so that the tips with Consideration of the large center height of these grinding machines approximately at chest height of the operator lie. Such grinding machines also require, in contrast to the aforementioned known standard designs for the processing of medium-sized pieces steady rests to support the workpiece, its weight cannot be carried solely by the headstock and tailstock. To with such rollers In order to achieve a perfect surface quality, it is therefore necessary that the tailstock or steady rest guide on beds of heavy roll grinding machines

arbeitung auftretenden Kräfte zuverlässig, sicher und unmittelbar in das Bett zu überführen.to transfer the forces that occur reliably, safely and directly into the bed.
This is achieved according to the invention by arranging the inclined path so that the through its center line and the plane going through the workpiece axis is perpendicular to the inclined path.
This gives the designer a very simple rule for the construction of a lathe bed and achieves that the allotted to the inclined surface and depending on the workpiece size and chip removal different components made up of the weight of the workpiece and the influence of the machining process resulting resultant always falls into the slanting path.
The vertical introduction of inclined components into a correspondingly inclined guide surface is already possible known for a long time on common standard lathes; meanwhile here was the horizontal line that is used to take over the vertical components, not provided directly under the workpiece, but was in front of this.
Schließlich aber treffen die Kraftkomponenten in an sich bekannter Weise im wesentlichen senkrecht oder zumindest wesentlich senkrechter auf die hintere Führungsebene auf als dies bisher bei Walzenschleifmaschinen der Fall war, soIn the arrangement according to the invention, both the tailstock and the steady rests receive an im Cross-section short and compact design, so that the rigidity of these parts can be increased significantly. In addition, bending stresses on the tailstock and the steady rests are largely avoided and In addition, any loading of the clamping device by the machining forces is excluded. Furthermore will the support area by increasing the circumferential angle on which the same space requirement the workpiece is enclosed by the bed, larger and therefore cheaper. But finally they hit Force components in a manner known per se, essentially perpendicular or at least significantly more perpendicular to the rear management level than was previously the case with roll grinders, so
