Description
Order to prevent the occurrence of toxic wastewater the surface treatment of metals The arrangement relates to the prevention the occurrence of toxic wastewater in the particular electrochemical surface treatment of metals.
The rendering of industrial wastewater harmless is progressing Industrialization has become an increasingly important problem. Unfortunately, attachments are for Rendering of wastewater harmless, which is based on the previously known. Establish procedures, both as to the investment required and also as to of ongoing operations are often so expensive that the associated expenses for smaller ones and. often become unsustainable even for medium-sized companies.
Another side of the problem is the considerable consumption of rinse water in today's usual way of working. A daily consumption of 40 to 400 m3 of water is nothing unusual in small to medium-sized systems today. To catch this considerable amount of wastewater, large containers are required in which the Detoxification or neutralization is carried out. Again there are chemicals and. a competent staff is necessary. Until now it had been believed that all of these Investment costs, flushing water and ongoing operating costs are unavoidable be.
It has been shown, surprisingly, that the problem of rendering harmless from wastewater can thereby be solved in the simplest and cheapest way, that with the help of suitable pre-rinsing methods, the occurrence of toxic wastewater prevent. The creation of large collecting tanks for the toxic wastewater is no longer required.
According to the invention, the poisonous ball fluid, which with the Workpieces is dragged out of the treatment baths on these workpieces even by immersing in a suitable circulating detoxification bath rendered harmless. This bath can be regenerated and can therefore be used again and again Find use.
For the success of this way of working, it is important that the Must be capable of detoxification bath; quickly and thoroughly on the dragged-away ball remnants act without affecting the properties and appearance of the metal surface To suffer. The subsequent rinsing in water then only has the task of harmless Remove residual solution from the surface of the workpieces. The resulting Rinsing water can be fed to the receiving water without further treatment.
A continuously effective treatment solution is left on the surface the workpieces act. The solution moves in a circuit through the treatment tank and is regenerated in a manner known per se outside this container. It is z. B. known that floating foreign matter from the liquid surface technical cleaning baths can be removed by removing the top layer of liquid overflows and returns the bath freed from the foreign matter. Of the Excess of effective chemicals should be as small as possible in the solution and just enough for the treatment. This excess should be in the treatment solution also therefore be as low as possible so that the rinse water does not carry these chemicals becomes contaminated.
In the arrangement according to the invention one makes use of the per se known treatment methods, according to which z. B. the treatment in one or more Stages takes place, with cyanide-containing baths with chlorine-containing solutions and Cr04 Baths containing ions are pre-rinsed in solutions containing S 02 or barium.
The addition of a wetting agent to the treatment solution makes this easier Access of the active chemicals to the metal surface, thus facilitating the expected Implementations.
With the new arrangement, there are only containers with a capacity of 2 to 8 m3 necessary, whereas in the past 40 to 400 m3 of storage space was required.
Cya:nidische Abwässer erhält man z. B. beim Verkupfern, Vermessingen, Verca.dmen und Verzinken.Among the harmful chemicals, cyanides are particularly dangerous. According to today's requirements, the cyanide content must be reduced below 0.1 mg / 1, so that the wastewater can be described as non-toxic. Cya: receives nidische sewage one z. B. in copper plating, brass plating, Verca.dmen and galvanizing.
In the example below, the cyani are: dreste through a treatment rendered harmless with chlorine. Assuming that in the minute about 10 g of C N get into the wastewater through bath carryover, one obtains at a flow rate of the rinsing water of 801 per minute: a content of 0.125% of C N. In: 8 hours, around 40 m3 of flushing water would be produced. When applied of the new process, however, an excess of 0.03 to 0.04 g / l of chlorine is used in 8 ms treatment solution. Often the carried-over alkali ensures a pH value of 8.5 during chlorination so that no caustic soda addition is required. A minimum chlorine excess of 0.03 g / l solution is required with a p11 value between 8.5 and 11 held constant. Chlorine and caustic soda can be used without interrupting the process be admitted. A non-toxic sludge slowly forms.
Practical experience has taught that the removal of the sludge is only necessary every 2 months. This results in a great saving of chemicals because the treatment solution keeps coming back for a long time can be used. It is checked two to three times a day as required and. regenerated.
