Description
DEUTSCHESGERMAN
The invention relates to an image storage screen for Braun tubes, consisting of an electrically conductive, optically transparent grid with a one-sided 'layer of dielectric material. Such storage screens are arranged a short distance in front of the luminescent screen on which the optically visible image is created. The optically transparent dielectric layer is located on the side of the grating facing away from the luminescent screen. While in storage tubes the image is generated by the optically concentrated writing beam, deflected in both coordinates and modulated in its intensity by a program, falling directly on the luminescent screen, in storage tubes this writing beam generates electrical charges on the dielectric of the storage device The point struck depends on the intensity of the write beam, so that a charge image is created on the dielectric which corresponds to the image to be generated. In order to display the charge distribution thus produced on the image memory in a correspondingly visible manner on the luminescent screen, a spread out bundle of relatively slow electrons is constantly directed onto the image memory. These electrons pass through the openings of the image memory onto the luminescent screen and are the exciters of the luminescence. The strength of the electrons passing through each opening of the image memory depends on the charge prevailing in the vicinity of the respective opening, so that the electrons hitting the luminescent screen produce a visible image corresponding to the charge distribution 1 . The slow electrons directed in a spread out bundle onto the image memory are called flood electrons.
Eine solche Ab-Bildspeicherschirm für Braunsche Röhren und Verfahren zur HerstellungEach hole in the image memory has a characteristic that is dependent on the person passing through the hole Represents amount of flood electrons from the surrounding charge of the dielectric. It has now 1 found that, obtained in image memories, which consist of an electrically conductive, optically transmissive grid with single layer of dielectric material, both in terms of the characteristic of the holes as well as with regard to their uniformity much better conditions when the present invention the electrical layer only is arranged set back inwardly on the grid bars and against the grid openings.

It is very limited in the dependence of the amount of flood edges penetrating 1 image memories, so that electrons from the state of charge at each hole are only able to produce a tinted image in a much larger area than with known luminescent screens obtain. For types. This expands the possibility of tinting the image on the luminescent screen. In addition, the described one also has an unfavorable effect if there are valuable properties between the image storage screen, as far as there are differences between the individual holes that are concerned with the deletion of the image. As is well known, holes are not all quantitatively the same. The charge image can be erased by controlling the flood electrons, i.e. not together with the relatively slow dielectric having the same characteristics. Because then electrons can be charged, for which the secondary emission is only less than one in the middle 50 digits in the image resolution. The same measure leave the influence of several holes, so only those can, incidentally, serve to create a negative image elements faithfully on the luminescent screen background for a good contrast effect, reproduce the at least about ten holes but now cover the luminescent screen . Bei der Herstellung eines Bildspeichers nach Fig. 1For the dielectric layer, it is advisable to use a dielectric which is capable of emitting secondary electrons per mm, a thickness of about 0.025 mm and the thickness of this layer is small, light transmission of approximately 40%. One is to be selected for the surface parts of the webs of the grid 10 that are in the middle against the thickness of the electrically conductive grid. As for the degree of recession of the dielectric layer 12 of dielectric material, such as magnetic layer against the grid openings, 20 silicon fluoride is applied. The width in which the disco has been found to be particularly advantageous for the electrical element to cover the webs of the grid is approximately the outer surface of the dielectric layer approximately half as large as the width of the webs. The bar reaches the parts of the end faces of the grid bars, the width of the grid 14 will be exposed roughly equal to the bar metallic. These difficulties with the dielectric 12 to be applied later are overcome if one does after application. The grid 14 shown in a view in FIGS. 3 and 4 and the dielectric layer on one side of the grid section is stretched tightly in a clamping device with a metal coating on the device 16 of the layer according to FIG. 6,

It would create a large amount of image memory. However, this may require a great deal of care and effort to avoid it if you first prevent the whole. Such difficulties do not exist, the surface of the grating 14 according to FIG. 5 with a layer 18 of a photochemically produced overlattice initially provided in the dark with a coating 50, as is occasionally provided as a protective coating made of a photochemically reactive substance, in a further development of the method, is used.
