The development of new hydroformylation processes was based on the idea of immobilizing the rhodium-containing catalyst systems that were hitherto homogeneously present in the reaction mixture. In this context, it is possible to speak of the heterogenization of a reaction which is in itself homogeneously carried out-in this case the industrially important, homogeneously carried out reaction of hydroformylation.
With SILP catalyst systems, the advantages of homogeneous and heterogeneously catalyzed synthesis reactions can be combined. This relates in particular to the product separation and recovery of the catalyst, in particular of the transition metals contained therein, which is difficult and expensive in homogeneously guided synthesis reactions. In heterogeneously catalyzed synthesis reactions, however, mass and heat transport limitation may occur, thereby reducing the activity of the solid catalyst system; also lower chemo- and stereoselectivities are observed in heterogeneously catalyzed synthesis reactions.
Not only the use of a very active and selective catalyst system is important for the economical operation of a continuous hydroformylation process. Especially the issues of catalyst recycling - combined with product separation - and ligand stability play a crucial role - not only in view of the high rhodium and ligand prices, but also the only slightly known influence of impurities from ligand degradation processes on the activity and the product spectrum.
Liganden-Desaktivierung und -Abbau führen dazu, dass weniger aktiver Ligand im System vorhanden ist, was sich nachteilig auf die Performance des Katalysatorsystems auswirken kann (Umsatz, Ausbeute, Selektivität).Ligand deactivation and degradation result in less active ligand being present in the system, which may adversely affect the performance of the catalyst system (conversion, yield, selectivity).
For a large-scale hydroformylation process, the service life of a catalyst is of crucial importance in addition to the n / iso selectivity. Per catalyst change are setup times of Production plant necessary, in which the production plant is not in operation. During these times no income can be generated with this production plant. The object of the present invention is to develop a process which enables both a favorable catalyst removal by eliminating a catalytically active composition which has one or more catalyst complexes on a heterogeneous support, as well as the addition of further components and at the same time an improved catalyst life in comparison to the systems described in the prior art. For example, the addition of a stabilizer, as provided by the SILP concept, should be superfluous. This can be saved on the one hand costs for the synthesis of the stabilizer or their procurement; On the other hand, subsequent reactions can be avoided by the stabilizer. In addition, the catalyst life for this catalytically active composition should be significantly improved, since a multiple catalyst change in the course of a year of operation for the above reasons would be uneconomical and unprofitable.
The object of the present invention was to provide a catalyst system for the hydroformylation of unsaturated compounds. which does not have one or more of the disadvantages of the prior art catalyst systems.
In particular, an object of the present invention to provide a method which allows both a favorable catalyst separation, as well as isomerization unsaturated compounds to hydroformylate n-terminal aldehydes and preferably at the same time has an improved catalyst life compared to the systems described in the prior art.
Surprisingly, it has been found that this object can be achieved by a composition according to
B. in

Herstellung der katalytisch aktiven Zusammensetzung Preparation of the catalytically active composition
All preparations of the catalytically active composition were made by Schlenk technique under argon (≥ 99.99%). 0.40 mmol of Rh (CO) 2 (acac) was dissolved in about 160 ml of dichloromethane and stirred for 10 min. A tenfold excess of (1) (mole ratio ligand / rhodium = 10) was added to the rhodium precursor solution and stirred for 10 min. The addition of the ionic liquid, in the following IL, 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium-bis (trifluoromethanesulfonyl) imide, in short form [EMIM] [NTf 2 ], is carried out in such a way that a loading degree α is set such that it has a Value of 0.1 or 10 vol .-% assumes. In the context of SILP catalyst systems, a degree of loading α is the ratio of the volume under normal conditions of the ionic liquid IL used in each case to the pore volume of the carrier material used in each case. Subsequently, the required amount of calcined silica silica gel 100 (mass ratio rhodium / support material = 0.2%) was added. The resulting suspension was stirred for 60 min. Dichloromethane was then stripped under vacuum on a rotary evaporator at 700 hPa and 40 ° C, and the resulting powder dried at a fine vacuum (40 Pa) for 24 h. Before the catalytically active composition was used, it was stored under argon atmosphere.
Katalyse-ExperimenteCatalysis experiments
Agilent. All hydroformylation experiments were carried out in a fixed bed reactor. The dry catalyst material was filled into the tube reactor and fixed from both sides with a piece of glass wool. The entire system was purged with argon at room temperature and then charged with the reaction pressure (argon). If no pressure loss was observed, the reactor was heated in argon stream to reaction temperature. After adjusting the respective volume flows, synthesis gas (CO and H 2 , volume = 1 to 1, ≥ 99.97%) is passed through the reactor for 4 hours. The metered addition of the synthesis gas is carried out by mass flow controller (source Fa. Bronkhorst). The Eduktdosierung the C4 mixture via an HPLC pump (source Fa. Knauer). In a mixer filled with glass beads, the reactant gas stream was homogenized before it flowed through the tube reactor and catalyst bed from above. The reactor was made of stainless steel (diameter 12 mm, length 390 mm) and had on the output side a grid for the positioning of the catalyst material. Through an internal thermocouple, the temperature could be recorded in the catalyst bed. The total pressure in the pilot plant was regulated by means of an electronic pressure maintenance valve (source: Samson). On the low pressure side of the product gas flow was divided using a valve, so that only a small portion of the total flow to the on-line gas chromatograph (source Agilent, model 6890) was passed. The larger portion was passed directly into a product barrel. Samples of the product gas stream were injected into the gas chromatograph through a valve at regular intervals. The data analysis was carried out by the ChemStation software from Agilent.
