Description

Seit ca. 1960 sind zur Beschickung von z. B. Karden Speiseschächte gebräuchlich. Bei ersten bekannten Verfahren wurden die Fasern von einer Speisemaschine mittels eines Förderventilators abgezogen und in einer gemeinsamen Förderleitung zu den Speiseschächten geblasen. Die überflüssigen Fasern wurden zurück in die Speisemaschine geleitet. Eine Füllhöhenerkennung mittels Lichtschranken in der Speisemaschine der zurückgeleiteten Fasern beeinflusste die Zuspeisung von Frischfasern. Ein zweites System, das sich weltweit durchgesetzt hat, arbeitet ohne Rückführung von Fasern. Die Fasern werden von der Speisemaschine mittels eines Ventilators abgesaugt und in die Speiseleitung gedrückt. Die Speiseleitung endet am letzten Speiseschacht des Systems. An dem Speiseschacht tritt die Luft an Siebflächen aus. Sind die Siebflächen mit Fasern gefüllt, steigt der Druck im System. Dieser Druckanstieg wird gemessen und bei steigendem Druck die Faserzuführung reduziert oder gestoppt. Dieses System ist einfacher als ersteres, jedoch führt die geringere Luftgeschwindigkeit dazu, dass schwerere Fasern oder Faserklumpen sich am Anfang des Systems ablagern und leichte gut aufgelöste Fasern zum Systemende gelangen.
