Abstract
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Maschinengehäuse (1) einer Brennkraftmaschine (2) mit zumindest einer über ein Übertragungsgetriebe durch eine Kurbelwelle antreibbaren obenliegenden Nockenwelle, mit einem das Übertragungsgetriebe aufnehmenden Raum (4), welcher zumindest teilweise durch einen Gehäusedeckel (3) abdeckbar ist, sowie mit einem Führungskanal (5) für einen Ölpeilstab (6), wobei der Führungskanal (5) zumindest teilweise in dem das Übertragungsgetriebe aufnehmenden Raum (4) angeordnet ist.
