Abstract
Description
The The invention relates to a method for carrying out an automated Downshift, in particular an automated downshift of an automatic transmission or an automated transmission in a motor vehicle. Under Automatic transmissions or automated transmissions are in the sense the invention to understand all gear, in which the switching operation and the torque transfer process Automated between engine output shaft and transmission output shaft occur. These include in particular automatic transmission with automated disconnect clutch or with transducer means or automated manual transmissions or automated transmissions, where the gear change via buttons or so-called paddles is initiated. Below are these Transmission devices subsumed under the name automatic transmission.
Nachteilig hierbei sind, der sich einstellende erhöhte Verbrauch sowie eine Beschränkung hinsichtlich der Motordrehzahlen (obere Drehzahlgrenze), bei denen ein Rückschaltvorgang zugelassen werden kann.at known automatic transmissions is an automatic downshift usually performed with an automatically introduced intermediate gas, the is called, that at the time of (automatically) disconnected powertrain after or during the automatic change of the gear stage, the internal combustion engine additionally fired is, so that at the output shaft an increased speed established. This should be adapted to the speed of the engine output shaft (accelerated), due to the gear stage change (Reduction of the gear ratio) adjusting increased speed of the transmission input shaft. This has the advantage that a substantially jerk-free downshift even at higher engine speeds guaranteed can be. The disadvantage here are the resulting increased consumption as well as a restriction in terms of engine speeds (upper speed limit) where a downshift can be admitted.
Of the Invention is based on the object, a method for carrying out automated downshifts to provide a motor vehicle with automatic transmission, in which a jerk-free downshifting while a deceleration process, especially at higher levels Engine speeds possible and a reduced fuel consumption is ensured.
According to the invention Problem solved by the entirety of the features of claim 1, while in the dependent claims preferred developments of the invention are given.
The inventive method applies to motor vehicles with a particular as Internal combustion engine formed drive unit, with a transmission device (Automatic transmission) to carry out of automated gear changes and with a between the output shaft of Drive unit and the input shaft of the transmission device arranged controllable coupling unit for the separation and connection of the drive train (or for moment transmission; transmission of Drive or braking torque). The coupling unit is depending on the design of Transmission unit (automatic transmission with automatic disconnect clutch, Automatic transmission with converter unit or automated gearbox) as a controllable automated disconnect clutch or as controllable Converter unit executed. According to the invention is constantly monitored, whether during of the driving operation, a brake intervention of the service brake is present. An intervention of the service brake can thereby by the manual operation of a Brake pedal by the driver or due to an automatic braking intervention by a driver assistance system for longitudinal and / or lateral dynamics control respectively. Furthermore, it monitors whether during the vehicle deceleration an automatic downshift occurs with brake intervention. is this is the case during the automated switch-back process, while that too a moment transfer by the coupling device (coupling process) takes place, a controlled or Controlled reduction of the brake torque of the service brake. The reduction of the Braking torque is carried out as a function of, due to torque transmission by the control of the coupling unit occurring change the speed of the drive unit (change in engine speed). In a particularly preferred embodiment, the reduction correlates the braking torque of the service brake with the through the coupling unit while the downshifting transmitted resulting engine braking torque. The resulting engine braking torque includes several instantaneous parts. A first moment proportion is generated while the switchback process in braking or coasting operation of the vehicle due to the smaller translation of Gear unit, causing the speed at the transmission input shaft (with separate drive train) due to the coupling with the drive axle, which is driven by the rolling drive wheels increases. hereby arises over the coupling unit transferable Engine acceleration torque during of the combined braking and downshifting. Counteracts (or act) the drag torque (and a moment of inertia) of the Drive unit. The reduction of the braking torque of the service brake advantageously takes place by the amount of the resulting engine braking torque under consideration by the downshift present gear ratio. By consideration the gear ratio is taken into account the fact that the braking torque of the service brake on the drive wheels is introduced while the resulting engine braking torque directly on the engine output shaft acts.
The Reduction of the brake torque of the service brake can additionally or alternatively also in dependence from the gradient of the moment change on the output shaft of the drive unit and / or on the input shaft the transmission device or in dependence on the gradient the torque difference between the engine output shaft and transmission input shaft take place during the torque transmission between the drive unit and transmission device adjusts.
Of Further, the reduction of the braking torque of the service brake additionally or alternatively depending on from the design-related (stationary) moment of inertia the drive unit.
In a particularly preferred embodiment the invention, the downshift occurs without an automatic intermediate gas to adjust the speeds between the output shaft of the internal combustion engine and the input shaft the transmission device.
In another embodiment the invention is provided, the proposed implementation of a Downshift only perform if a switch-back command is present above a predetermined speed clamp or if the transmission device in a sport mode (e.g., with shortened shift times and / or switch-back points compared to a normal mode higher vehicle speeds or higher Engine speeds) is operated.
