Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a backrest with a headrest Motor vehicle seat according to the preamble of the claim 1.
The invention deals with the problem in one Motor vehicle accident cervical spine damage to the seat user Avoid, especially those in the event of an impact arise on the rear of the vehicle.
Einrichtungen, mit denen diesem Problem begegnet werden soll, sind beispielsweise in der Patentliteratur bekannt aus 297 10 511, 197 43 339, 29 60 34 67, 37 39 752, 29 80 85 52, WO 96/06752, WO 95/11818 DE 90 12 858 U1, WO 89/11047 und EP 0 373 206 B1.Institutions to deal with this problem are known, for example, in the patent literature 297 10 511, 197 43 339, 29 60 34 67, 37 39 752, 29 80 85 52, WO 96/06752, WO 95/11818 DE 90 12 858 U1, WO 89/11047 and EP 0 373 206 B1.
All of these facilities own one or more of the following disadvantages, namely in terms of furnishings complicated structure, lack of functionality and undesirable, dangerous malfunctions.
With a generic device according to the characteristic Features of claim 1 effects the invention Solution a surprisingly good improvement.
The invention is based on the general idea of one Accident in which the head of a seat user faces backwards is thrown to ensure that only one such head throwing backward accident targeted the contact surface of the backrest for the seated person wanders backwards. This automatically moves the headrest closer to the head of the seat user, which in turn the dangerous backward slinging path of the Seat user head is reduced accordingly.
In the backrest of a motor vehicle seat according to the the aforementioned DE 90 12 858 U1 are already in the lower Area assigned to the lumbar vertebrae of a seat user is provided, energy-absorbing layers. their energy-absorbing function should only be used for one Accident can be activated. Due to the arrangement in the lower However, the backrest area can be the one according to the invention Effect, namely a shortening of the distance between the Head of a seat user and the associated headrest are not can be reached because the upper backrest area is just on which is particularly important according to the invention, not accordingly is compliant.
Advantageous and expedient embodiments of the invention are the subject of the subclaims and are related with embodiments shown in the drawing explained in more detail below.
In der Zeichnung zeigen jeweils Querschnitte einer Rückenlehne und zwarThe drawing shows cross sections of a backrest in fact
Fig. 1, 2 durch jeweils eine Rückenlehne mit schaumgefüllten, verformbaren Kammern in zwei alternativen Ausführungsformen, Fig. 1, 2 by a respective backrest with foam-filled deformable chambers in two alternative embodiments,
Fig. 3 eine Rückenlehne nach Fig. 2, bei der die Kammern federbelastet sind, Fig. 3 is a backrest according to Fig. 2, wherein the chambers are spring-loaded,
Fig. 4 shows a backrest according to Fig. 2, in which the chambers are connected to a fluid reservoir.
In the designs of a backrest according to FIGS. 1 and 2, volume-variable chambers 2 are lined up over the height of the backrest, distributed within the seat cushion in front of a rear supporting wall 1 . In the embodiment according to FIG. 1, the chambers 2 are formed exclusively by foam 4 cores, the air inclusions of which can be easily removed into the atmosphere when the foam 4 is compressed. In contrast, the chambers 2 according to FIG. 2 each consist of a flexible outer wall, which can be a kind of plastic bubble, for example. These chambers 2 have throttle openings or valves 3 'directed backwards, which are only indicated schematically in the drawing. Inside, the chambers 2 are again filled with foam 4 . This foam 4 has a predetermined resistance to deformation; which, at least when there are no valves 3 'and / or throttle openings on the chamber walls, is selected such that a deformation occurs only under a pressure triggered by a seat user, such as can only occur in such a size as a result of an accident. In this way, in the event of an accident, particularly in the event of a rear-end collision, the back of the seat user moves backwards into the backrest, as a result of which the horizontal distance between the back and head of the seat user is reduced. This in turn means a reduction in the risk of cervical vertebral injury due to the head being thrown back. If valves 3 'are arranged on the rear sides of the chambers ( FIG. 2), these can be designed as a kind of spring-loaded check valves in such a way that they only open when a certain pressure is exceeded. However, it is also possible to have them opened by sensors reporting an accident.
Throttle bores 3, if present, in the walls of the chambers 2 are used for reducing the size of the chambers 2, which consumes impact energy. The function of the chambers 2 is reversible in that the foam 4 is able, through springbacks, to enlarge the chambers 2 to the initial volume again after an accident.
In the embodiment of Fig. 3, the function is performed within the chambers 2 springs 5 in the embodiments according to FIGS. 1 and 2, the foam used. Otherwise, the function of the embodiment according to FIG. 3 corresponds to that of the embodiment according to FIG. 2.
The embodiment according to FIG. 4 differs from that according to FIG. 3 in that the individual chambers 2 are filled with liquid and are connected to a storage container 6 via connecting lines 7 . In this embodiment, the chambers 2 can be filled with a fluid that is different from the atmosphere, since a closed system is present here. By means of a pump and valves (not shown) in the individual connecting lines 7 , the chambers 2 can be refilled to their initial state after being emptied. In the embodiment of Fig. 4, it is possible, among other things, adjust through different, controllable in detail the filling of the chambers 2 backrest certain contours.
