Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a pneumatically adjustable headrest having at least one support rod receiving headrest body with movable headrest side cheeks.
It is well known to provide height adjustable headrests in motor vehicles, particularly passenger cars or trucks, via head restraint guides on the vehicle seats. In most cases, the adjustment of the height position of the headrest is realized by means of holding rods which are mounted displaceably in a backrest arranged head restraint guide parts. A known common solution to the height adjustment via notches in at least one of the support rods of the headrest, which engage in releasable locking the at least one headrest guide member. The support rods move relative to the backrest, whereby the arranged on the support rod headrest can be adjusted in height relative to the backrest. In most cases, the height adjustment is done manually by the user.
The invention is based on the object to provide a compact pneumatic adjustable headrest with improved comfort properties.
The starting point of the invention is a pneumatically adjustable headrest, which has at least one headrest body receiving a holding rod with movable headrest side cheeks.
In conjunction with these features, the invention provides that in the headrest body at least one operatively connected to the at least one support rod first pneumatic unit for reversible height adjustment of the headrest relative to the at least one support rod and / or at least one with the headrest side cheeks in operative connection second pneumatic unit is arranged for reversible adjustment of the headrest side cheeks relative to a headrest middle part.
By this solution, a compact headrest is provided, the pneumatic units for height adjustment and / or adjustment of the headrest side cheeks are integrated in the headrest body. Such a headrest is fastened in a simple manner on the support rods on each backrest. Advantageously, care must be taken in the construction of the backrest on the integration of the pneumatic units in the backrest. As a result, such a backrest can be arranged in a modular manner on various series backrests.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one first pneumatic unit is a pneumatic cylinder whose compressed air cylinder is connected to a head box and its cylinder piston with the support rod or vice versa, whereby the head box relative to the support rod by reversing the pneumatic cylinder is height adjustable.
Advantageously, the head box offers the possibility to connect either the air cylinder or the cylinder piston fixed to the headrest. The pneumatic cylinder can be arranged on the head box or in the head box. Since the handrails are also in communication with the head box, an interface between the head box and the handrail results, in which the pneumatic cylinder is arranged according to the invention.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention, the at least one second pneumatic unit is a fluid bladder. This fluid bladder is disposed between a side cheek wing rotatably disposed on a central portion of the head box and a side portion of the head box. The fluid bubble is supported on a first contact surface of the side part and on a second contact surface of a contact element of the side cheek wing. Other supports provide a spacer of the side cheek wing and a holding element of the side cheek wing, which will be discussed in more detail in the description. With this configuration, the fluid bubble is already held in the unfilled state advantageously simply on the head box of the headrest main body. Since the pressure on the contact surfaces in the filled state of the fluid bubble increases further, there is always a secure arrangement of the fluid bubble in the headrest body. In a simple manner, the side cheek wing of the headrest side cheek is infinitely adjustable in various positions by filling and emptying the fluid bladder. It is advantageously provided that the filling with compressed air and thus the increase in volume of the fluid bubble takes place from a first to a third position in a direction of movement. A return adjustment takes place in an advantageous manner by an externally acting force, which is applied by an exciting during the increase in volume spring element. The restoring force stored during the adjustment of the sidewall wing from the first to the third position in the spring element always returns the sidewall wing to its initial position, the first position with volume reduction of the fluid bladder, as soon as the filling of the fluid bladder is interrupted with compressed air and a venting port is opened. The arrangement of the spring element is explained in more detail in the description part. It is clear that this configuration of the second pneumatic unit is simple and robust in a simple manner and only requires a small space, so that the second pneumatic unit can be accommodated in an advantageous manner in the space of the headrest.
Finally, another advantage is that the pneumatic units can be used to control in particular the headrest side cheeks in response to the driving dynamics signals of a vehicle.
Es zeigen:The invention will be explained in more detail in an embodiment with reference to the accompanying drawings. Show it:
A possible embodiment of the invention will be explained below in an embodiment. For the purposes of the description, the direction lying in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle shall be denoted by "x". "Y" denotes the direction in the horizontal of the vehicle transverse to the x-direction, and "z" denotes the direction in the vertical of the vehicle transverse to the x-direction. This designation of the spatial directions in Cartesian coordinates corresponds to the coordinate system commonly used in the automotive industry.
