Abstract
Description
The invention relates to glass one-component well plates, low-melting ones Low-lithium borosilicate glass with high chemical resistance, low processing processing temperature, adjustable workability length and reduced attack on the fire solid material, as well as its use.
The borosilicate glass is primarily for use as one-component well plates, vials for Well plates, pharmaceutical primary packaging material, e.g. B. as ampoule glass or Vial glass, suitable. It can also be used for chemical plant construction, as a device glass, Utility glass, sealing glass, fire safety glass and for other technical Purposes such as B. can be used as substrate glass for coatings.
In analysis and research, machines are often used for feeding of aqueous samples work with so-called well plates, which consist of two parts; from a Plastic plate with many wells (racks) and small bottles (vials) that are inserted into the Depressions are used. The vials are made of plastics or - if these Materials react with the solutions to be examined - from glass to high water resistance. High-melting points meet this requirement for water resistance Borosilicate glasses of hydrolytic class 1, which are in fully electrically operated glass melting tanks are produced. However, such glasses can not be used at significantly lower temperatures in fossil-heated melting units. Low melting glasses with high water resistance, low processing temperature and additionally adjustable workability length and reduced attack on the refractory material are not known.
To describe the water resistance, the hydrolytic class is determined according to DIN ISO 719. The aim is class 1. To characterize the processability of the glass, the processing temperature at which the viscosity of the glass is 10 4 dPas (processing point (V A ), working point) is used. This temperature should be as low as possible. The temperature range between the processing point and the softening point is used to assess the workability length. The softening point is assigned the temperature at which the viscosity of the glass is 10 7.6 dPs. This temperature range should be as small as possible for glasses to be processed by machine ("short glasses") and as large as possible ("long glasses") for glasses to be processed manually.
All known glasses have for the o. G. Applications and manufacturing conditions Disadvantages and do not meet the entire catalog of requirements.
According to the prior art, it is also not known that glass well plates are made from only one component nent, that is, made of just one glass plate with recesses (hereinafter referred to as a glass component called nentenwellplates).
An important requirement of the pharmaceutical industry is the provision of glass as a phar primary packaging material with high chemical resistance due to its hydrolytic resistance resistance (H), the acid and alkali resistance (S, L) and the water resistance of the Inside surface of containers against hot water is described. At the same time should be off from the point of view of the glass manufacturer this glass for quality and cost reasons in the melting, Processing and cooling areas have low temperatures associated with the viscosities and the refractory material is attacked as little as possible by the glass melt.
Glasses that meet this complex requirement profile are not known. The following overview shows some commercially available glasses that confirm this statement:
In the patent DE 195 36 708 ampoule jars are described which with H = 1, S = 1 and L = 1 have very good chemical resistance and with V A = 1180 ° C to 1220 ° C desirably low processing temperatures. It has been shown, however, that Am pulls, which have been made from these glasses, have too little water resistance of the inner surface and that the refractory material is strongly dissolved when melting. The opinion expressed verbally in the patent DE 196 43 870 that the alkali metal oxides in the glass reduce the chemical resistance is not applicable, since additions of Na 2 O and K 2 O z. B. improve the acid resistance of the glass. In addition, it cannot be confirmed that Li 2 O generally increases the tendency of the glass to segregate and nucleate. With relatively high Li 2 O or Na 2 O and K 2 O contents, very good hydrolytic, acid and alkali resistances can be achieved and cloud-free glasses can be melted if the glass compositions have been optimized.
The chemical resistance of the inner surfaces of containers made of glass to hot water is measured in accordance with the regulations of DIN 52 339, Part 1 and Part 2. The water resistance according to this standard is the chemical resistance of the inner surface of glass containers to water at 121 ° C. The measure of water resistance is the amount of bases that are found in the solution from glass containers under the same manufacturing conditions at 121 ° C. after one hour. The amount of these bases is determined by the amount of 0.01 mol / l hydrochloric acid required for their titration (DIN 52 339, Part 1) or by flame photometric determination of the alkali metal ions (calculated as Na 2 O in µg / ml) (DIN 52 339, part 2). The lower these values are, the greater the water resistance.
The object of the invention is to provide one-component glass components Wellplates and the development of low-melting, low-lithium borosilicate glass high chemical resistance, low processing temperature, adjustable processing longevity and reduced attack on the refractory material as well as its use.

When using the glass as single-component well plates or vials for well plates, the hydrolytic resistance according to DIN ISO 719 class one, the melting temperature 1450 ° C up to 1550 ° C and the processing temperatures are a maximum of 1120 ° C. the Processable length should be short or long depending on the processing technology Glass adjusted and the attack on the refractory material can be reduced.
If the glass is used as primary pharmaceutical packaging, the hydrolytic resistance should be according to DIN ISO 719 class one, the acid resistance according to DIN 12116 class one, the Alkali resistance according to DIN ISO 659 class one, the water resistance of the inner surface area of containers according to DIN 52 339 container class one to two, the melting temperature tures 1550 ° C to 1600 ° C and the processing temperatures are a maximum of 1220 ° C. the Workable length must be on one according to the machine processing technology short glass can be set.
In addition, the new glasses should reduce the attack on the refractory material causes.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by what is described in claims 1 to 9 and 10 to 13 described glass dissolved.

Development work was carried out on the glass composition, which brought the essential new findings,
That the good chemical resistance H = 1, S = 1, L = 1 and low viscosities of V A <1220 ° C even with a significantly lower Li 2 O content than 1.0 wt .-% and at the same time small amounts of CaO can be achieved if the contents of Na 2 O and K 2 O are adjusted accordingly,
That in addition the water resistance of the inner surface of pharmaceutical Packaging materials against hot water is improved and
That with low CaO and Li 2 O contents and the use of relatively high Na 2 O and K 2 O proportions, the attack of the glass melt on the refractory material is reduced.

in das Glas eingebracht werden müssen, um die erfindungsgemäßen Glaseigenschaften für die Herstellung von Pharmaprimärpackmitteln zu realisieren.must be introduced into the glass in order to achieve the properties of the glass according to the invention for the Realize the production of pharmaceutical primary packaging.
It is surprising that in the above-mentioned glass system even very small amounts of CaO and Li 2 O reduce the melting temperatures and high-temperature viscosities to such an extent that the glasses can be melted inexpensively and without defects. This is because the change in properties as a function of the CaO and Li 2 O content is not linear. The same applies to the reduction in the attack on the refractory material depending on the CaO and Li 2 O content. Furthermore, it was not to be expected that the advantageous effect of CaO and Li 2 O on the lowering of the melting temperatures and high-temperature viscosities would not be compensated by the addition of small amounts of ZrO 2 , which is known to have the opposite effect.
It has also been determined that the glasses according to the invention are better known through the addition Dyes - such as B. Transition metal ions - according to the intended use can be colored.

The water resistance of Examples 1 and 2 according to the invention, determined by means of flame photometric determination of the alkali metal ions, improves compared to the Comparison glass by approx. 50%.
The reduced attack of the glass melt on the ceramic refractory material is due to the Crucibles and the glass quality visible because the glasses according to the invention are ceramic Refractory material corrodes significantly less. This reduces the streakiness or improves the homogeneity of the glass.
