Ziel der ErfindungObject of the invention
It is the object of the invention to constructively simplify the construction of an automatic device for filling a flat stack of sheets or signatures while ensuring a continuous supply of signatures and good sealing conditions as well as avoiding quality losses.
Darlegung des Wesens der ErfindungExplanation of the essence of the invention
The invention has for its object to transport the required for the docking station of a gathering machine signatures continuously with a conveyor to the magazine of the docking station and to create at the transfer point from the conveyor to the magazine such conditions that when filling the flat stack no deterioration of the separation conditions intermittent increase in stacking load and non-aligned signatures occurs. According to the invention the object is achieved in that for receiving and transporting obliquely lined-up signatures a known belt conveyor, the transport speed of which is controllable in dependence on the stack upper edge present in the magazine, is provided; this is designed so that the signatures are guided over an alignment edge in the magazine of the landing station. For this purpose, several segments are longitudinally adjustable arranged on the magazine side between the conveyor belts, the leading edge serves as an alignment edge. By longitudinal displacement is a certain distance to a reference surface, preferably the conveyor side facing the flat stack in the magazine set. When adjusting the leading edge of the segments as the alignment edge, the following relationship should be noted:
A = B, (1 - cost-ε) wobei sin o/ = A = B, (1 - cost-ε) where sin o / =
TTTT
This ensures that the guided over the alignment edge signatures create with its leading edge on the front wall of the magazine and fall down successively on the stack, which can be a straight-ahead of the respective top signatures in two directions with simultaneous exposure to blowing air. This alignment is necessary in order to avoid jamming of the signatures when printing from the bottom of the flat stack in the magazine for loading the assembly.
To avoid wearing machine and to ensure an exact transfer of the signatures to the trigger elements of the gathering machine. The deducted amount of signatures per unit time according to the drive speed of the belt conveyor is controlled and thus affects the amount of signatures supplied per unit time. For this purpose, at least one non-contact encoder is positioned on the opposite side of the flat stack in the magazine belt conveyor, the output of which is connected to a control device for driving the belt conveyor. With the device for continuously refilling a flat stack, the mooring station of a collating machine is thus continuously supplied with the required signatures, without an intermittently increasing stacking load adversely affecting the alignment and a smooth withdrawal of the signatures from the bottom of the stack.

On a mobile frame 1, a belt conveyor 4 driven by a motor 3 is provided for transporting the signatures of the stack 2. In the exemplary embodiment, this has a plurality of conveyor sections, which are formed by a corresponding arrangement of drive rollers 5 and associated pulleys 6, Magazine 1 are provided on the frame 1 of the belt conveyor 4 a plurality of longitudinally adjustable arranged between the conveyor belts segments 9 whose leading edges 7 serve as Ausrichtkanten. These have on their upper side outlet openings 14 for blowing air in order to support the Nachschieben the signatures by the feeding stack 2. In the area of the stack upper edge 8, a capacitive encoder 15 is positioned over the end face of the flat stack in the magazine 12, the output of which is connected to a control device for the drive of the belt conveyor 4. To align the flat stack forming signatures are on the back and on both sides thereof Geradstoßer 10, 11 are provided, which are offset by a lever mechanism of known type in oscillating motion. The alignment of the signatures is supported by blown air nozzles 13.
For loading the docking station of a gathering machine, the mobile device for continuously refilling the magazine 12 with signatures to the respective docking station is hired and locked. The leading edges 7 of the segments 9 serve as an alignment edge and are adjusted so that the stack trailing edge is covered by a certain amount A. The horizontally extending on a convenient height conveyor section of the belt conveyor 4 in aligned position of sequenced signatures are transported after turning on the drive motor 3 via a rising conveyor section in the upper adjacent to the magazine 12 conveying plane and slide over the alignment edge 7 in the magazine 12, actual achieved by the positioning of the capacitive encoder 15 fixed limit for the stack top edge 8, the conveying speed of the belt conveyor 4 is continuously controlled down,
Durch Regelung der Fördergeschwindigkeit erfolgt eine Zunahme der Zuführung von Signaturen pro Zeiteinheit, bis die obere Grenze für die Stapeloberkante 8 erreicht ist.so that fewer signatures are refilled per unit time, as the deduction of the gathering machine remove from the bottom of the flat stack. In this way, the stack top edge 8 levels and maintains the required distance to the alignment edge 7 of the belt conveyor 4. This ensures that the hanging down from the belt conveyor 4 signature bundle comes only with its front edge on the front side of the flat stack to rest. The falling on the stack signatures are thus largely relieved and can be aligned by Geradstoßer 10, 11 to two sides in * supporting the effect of blowing air. By responding to the capacitive encoder 15 upon reaching a lower limit for the stack height is prevented by constant differences between the supply and discharge of signatures of the entire stack used up and erroneous book blocks are collected. By controlling the conveying speed there is an increase in the supply of signatures per unit of time until the upper limit for the stack upper edge 8 is reached.
In the embodiment, a conveyor belt is provided for transporting the signatures. However, driving chains or other endless conveying means can also be used. To support the material to be conveyed support plates are arranged in a known manner laterally of the conveyor.
