Abstract

本实用新型关于一种电连接器,用以电性连接晶片模组和印刷电路板,包括:设有端子收容槽的绝缘本体以及固持于上述相应端子收容槽内的若干导电端子。每一个导电端子包括沿竖直方向延伸的固持部及分别自固持部两端倾斜延伸的弹性臂和焊接部。其中固持部的横截面积小于弹性臂和焊接部中任意一个的横截面积。绝缘本体端子收容槽内设有收容并限制上述导电端子固持部的一对限位块。这样,当导电端子置于端子收容槽中时,其固持部正好容置于限位块之间,而其弹性臂和焊接部的横截面积由于均大于固持部的横截面积,故,导电端子被限制于端子收容槽中,且在有限的范围内移动,而不能向上或向下脱落出端子收容槽。

【技术领域】
本实用新型关于一种电连接器,尤其是指电性连接晶片模组和印刷电路板的电连接器。
【背景技术】
电连接器被广泛地应用于各种电子设备中,用于在两个分离的电子元件(如,晶片模组和印刷电路板)之间提供电性导通路径。
传统的电连接器一般包括设有若干端子收容槽的绝缘本体以及收容于上述端子收容槽内的若干导电端子。随着科技的发展,电连接器导电端子的尺寸要求越来越小型化,为此,现有技术提供了一种无倒刺的导电端子,该导电端子不仅可以满足小型化导电端子的要求,而且因为没有倒刺的设计,该电连接器导电端子亦无需与绝缘本体发生干涉作用,因此可以降低导电端子与绝缘本体发生干涉配合时致使绝缘本体断裂现象的发生。
然而,上述电连接器导电端子因为没有倒刺,就很容易发生导电端子从端子收容槽中脱落的现象。为此,现有技术技术提供了一种电连接器,包括:绝缘本体、收容于绝缘本体中的若干导电端子,以及置于绝缘本体上的盖片。导电端子包括沿竖直方向延伸的固持部以及分别自固持部两侧倾斜延伸的弹性臂和焊接部。弹性臂上设有弯曲的第一接触点以与晶片模组导接,焊接部上设有与印刷电路板导接的第二接触部。组装时,将导电端子置于绝缘本体的收容空间内,盖片置于绝缘本体上,使导电端子的第一接触部延伸出盖片以导接于晶片模组。
然而,上述电连接器亦存在自身缺陷:盖片的设置使电连接器结构复杂,增加了组装程序,增强了操作人员的劳动强度,且对于日后尺寸更小的电连接器而言,盖片的设计将更复杂。
鉴于以上弊端,确实有必要设计一种改良的电连接器,以克服上述缺点和不足。
【实用新型内容】
本实用新型要解决的问题是提供一种可以防止导电端子从绝缘本体中脱落且结构简单的电连接器。
为此,本实用新型提供了一种电性连接晶片模组和印刷电路板的电连接器,其包括:设有端子收容槽的绝缘本体及收容于端子收容槽内的若干导电端子。其中导电端子包括沿竖直方向延伸的固持部以及分别自固持部两端倾斜延伸的弹性臂和焊接部。其中固持部的横接面积小于弹性臂和焊接部中任意一个的横截面积。绝缘本体端子收容槽内设有可收容并限制导电端子固持部的一对限位块,且该限位块之间留有一定空隙。
相对于现有技术,本实用新型电连接器导电端子固持部横截面积的减小和绝缘本体端子收容槽内限位块的设置,使电连接器在组装时,导电端子的固持部正好置于绝缘本体端子收容槽的限位块间,而其两端的弹性臂和焊接部横截面积又大于限位块之间的空隙,故,导电端子不会从端子收容槽中脱落,且结构简单,易于操作。

【具体实施方式】
请参阅图1至图2,本实用新型电连接器1是用来电性连接两个分离的电子元件的,如:晶片模组(未图示)和印刷电路板2,包括:设有若干端子收容槽102的绝缘本体10及收容于上述相应端子收容槽102中的导电端子20。
绝缘本体10包括与晶片模组相对的上表面100、与印刷电路板相对的下表面101,以及自上表面100至下表面101竖直延伸的端子收容槽102。其中端子收容槽102内设有一对限位块1020,该限位块1020之间留有一定空隙(未标示),导电端子20可以部分容置于该空隙内并被限位块1020所限制。
导电端子20,收容于上述绝缘本体10端子收容槽102内,包括沿竖直方向延伸的固持部200以及分别自固持部200两端倾斜延伸的弹性臂201和焊接部202。弹性臂201包括大致呈U形的第一臂部2010和平行于第一臂部2010的第二臂部2011,其中上述第一臂部2010和第二臂部2011于其U形底端设有与晶片模组电性接触的接触部2012,固持部200的横截面积小于弹性臂201和焊接部202中任何一个的横截面积,并形成一个腰身,在组装时其正好容置于绝缘本体10的限位块1020之间,而不会从中脱落。焊接部202自固持部200一端倾斜延伸,于其底部设有至少两个与印刷电路板2同一个焊点焊接的焊接点2020。
容置导电端子20于绝缘本体10的端子收容槽102中时,将导电端子20自弹性臂201U形结构底部并沿端子收容槽102设有限位块1020的一侧装入,此时由于弹性臂201的截面面积大于限位块1020之间的空隙,因此,导电端子20受到挤压,而当弹性臂201穿过限位块1020后,由于空间的突然扩大,弹性臂201回复原状,而位于其下部的固持部200正好容置于限位块1020之间的空隙内,又,其下部焊接部202的截面面积大于限位块1020之间的空隙,所以,导电端子20正好被限位于限位块1020之间,而不会从中脱落。
本实用新型电连接器1导电端子20固持部220横截面积的减小以及绝缘本体10端子收容槽102内限位块1020的设置,使得导电端子20被限位于绝缘本体10端子收容槽102内,不会脱落,结构简单,且操作容易。
需要指出的是,在本实施例中,端子收容槽102内限位块1020的形状没有做任何限制,只要其能与导电端子20固持部200的形状匹配及可。

Claims (7)

1.一种电连接器,用以电性连接晶片模组和印刷电路板,包括设有端子收容槽的绝缘本体及固持于相应端子收容槽内的若干导电端子,每一个导电端子包括固持部及分别自固持部两端倾斜延伸的弹性臂和焊接部,其特征在于:所述导电端子固持部的横截面积小于弹性臂和焊接部中任意一个的横截面积,而端子收容槽设有一对限位块,且该限位块抵接上述导电端子的固持部,使其只能在有限的范围内移动而不能脱落出绝缘本体。
2.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导电端子弹性臂包括大致呈U形的第一臂部、与第一臂部平行设置的第二臂部。
3.如权利要求2所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述第一臂部和第二臂部于其U形底部设有与晶片模组导接的接触部。
4.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述焊接部包括至少两个与印刷电路板同一个焊点焊接的焊接点。
5.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述弹性臂和焊接部的横截面积可以相同。
6.如权利要求5所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述弹性臂和焊接部的横截面积可以不同。
7.如权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:所述导电端子固持部的横接面积同时小于弹性臂和焊接部的横接面积。
