本发明涉及具有由机械外壳封装的一块印刷电路板的产品的大量生产。
相关技术的简要说明
以前,由装入电子零件的一个壳体构成的产品,一般是利用由单独的工具生产的二个塑料零件封装印刷电路板(PCB)的。该工具的修整用二种方法进行。该二个工具是成对生产的,即:一个供应商或工具制造商要对三个不同的工具彼此的修整负责。这种方法可以较好地解决使该壳体的机械公差作得很精确和一些装饰性的问题,因为它一般可保证零件很好地配合在一起。因此,可以满足非常严格的公差要求。然而,第一种解决方法意味着,如果单一的一个供应商的制造设施或模具出问题,则一个供应商或工具制造商将集中承担巨大的风险,整个产品的生产会停顿。
另一种方法是,生产停顿的巨大风险可以在多个供应商之间扩散。在这另一种方法的风险扩散机制中,工具的几个不同供应商生产该产品的壳体,即没有单一一个供应商生产二个工具。如果多个供应商中任何一个出了问题,则与上述的第一种方法比较,后果比较不严重。然而,为了保证零件能够实际上装配在一起,不同的供应商生产的零件之间的公差,出于必然性需要,一定是相当粗糙的。结果,产品很可能零件之间的间隙较大,和装饰性性能方面不匹配的问题较多(例如,零件之间的结构和颜色的差别)。这又可导致该产品内的电气机械连接误动作,还可使最终产品的吸引力降低。
美国专利4939792号说明了一个可以模制/可以折叠的收音机盒体,在用铰链连接的该壳体基座和盖的内面和外面,用真空方法沉积了四个可低温焊接的印刷电路图形。美国专利4703160号说明了一个便携式电子器具的壳体结构,在该结构中,四块板用铰链连接,并且当折叠在一起时,该四块板可以松开地贴附着。美国专利5432676号和5541813号说明了具有一个壳体的手提式电话,在该壳体的一个模制的塑料铰链中,有一根导线。在正常使用过程中,该铰链打开和关闭;该铰链是由与制造该壳体其余部分的材料不同的材料制成的。美国专利3580650号说明了用于装一个,例如,完整的收音机的机盒,该机盒的四个部分由正常使用过程中可以打开和关闭的铰链连接在一起。EP 547994 A1说明了可以自身折叠和利用接片连接,形成一个壳体的冲压的金属片。没有一种这些先前的装置可以解决上述的问题。
发明概述
本发明提供了与在许多电子元件壳体的外购和不同供应商之间风险扩散以及所生产零件的公差有关的问题的解决方法。
本发明的最简单的基本问题是,在一个组装过程中,利用尽可能少和尽可能简单的操作,将印刷电路板(PCB)封装和固定在注模成型的机械外壳中;利用最少量的机械外壳来制成完整的产品。制造产品所需的机械外壳数量越多,则必需互相修整,使这些零件可装配在一起的注模成型工具数量就越多。在大量生产中,工具彼此修整可能是很关键的,因为每一个塑料零件的生产都可能需要大量的工具,例如,可多达20个同样的工具。
由于这二种解决方法中没有一种在风险扩散和零件公差方面是最佳的,因此对于面对着大量生产装入PCB的壳体的基本问题的任何公司来说,在上述二种不同的解决方法之间进行选择,却是一个进退二难的难题。
根据本发明,解决上述问题以及上述难题的方法是,将一个壳体的二个塑料零件,例如后盖和前盖,作为一个整体的单一的单件整体件来进行注模成型。根据本发明的一个实施例,在制造盖的同时,利用一个由相同的材料制成的“活动的铰链”,将该后盖和前盖连接起来。
根据本发明的装配工艺的一个实施例包括:将PCB和产品的其他零件***后盖和前盖中的步骤。当将该后盖或前盖中的任一个盖,围绕着一个铰链,相对于另一个盖转动180°,将PCB和其他零件包围起来时,就可以封装该PCB和产品的其他零件。利用螺钉、咬合、超声波焊接或其他比较永久的工艺,可以将互相连接的盖固定。因为该铰链可以伸出到关闭的壳体以外,这从审美观点和商业观点来看都是不可接受的;因此,可用一个装饰性盖与该壳体外部连接,将该铰链掩盖、覆盖或隐藏起来。
这样,本发明基本上不需要象先前的装置和工艺那样,使工具互相修整。另外,与先前的解决方法不同,本发明可使风险的扩散和公差的优化容易综合起来。

图1表示根据本发明的第一个实施例的横截面图。壳体100包括一个前盖部分102,一个后盖部分104,和在前盖和后盖之间的一个铰链部分106。PCB 108利用具有普通技术熟练程度的人都非常清楚的紧固件(没有示出),牢固地安装在前盖102和后盖104中的一个盖上。虽然,图1表示PCB 108安装在后盖104上;在本发明的范围内,该PCB也可以容易地安装在前盖102上。前盖102包括一个空腔114,而后盖104包括一个空腔116。空腔116内装有电子装置的零件、壳体100是该装置的一部分。
在与铰链106相对的盖的一个横向侧边上,前盖102包括一个外边缘110,后盖104包括一个外边缘112。如图2所示,当壳体100关闭,即:后盖104和前盖102彼此相对和相向回转时,空腔114和116合在一起,形成一个壳体空腔118;而上述外边缘110和112接合。为了将壳体100固定在图2所示的关闭位置,上述边缘110,112带有可将二个盖不可松开地固定在一起的零件;例如:螺钉、紧压配合装置、超声波焊接、或任何其他能形成牢固、最好是不可松开的连接的、将该二个盖的边缘连接在一起的零件或方法。
壳体100可用任何一种合适的材料制成。为了利用本发明的优点,将前盖102、后盖104和铰链106作在一起,壳体100是用单个工具,即单个模型注模成型的。因此,前盖102、后盖104和铰链106由一种材料制成,并且一起形成、单一的整体单件的壳体。铰链106最好是由壳体材料变薄的部分构成的一个活动的铰链。具有普通技术熟练程度的人将知道,壳体100可用许多材料中的任何一种材料模制;并且,作为电子元件的壳体,应选择较耐用和不导电的材料;该材料要能够容纳将上述边缘110、112固定在一起的零件,和将PCB 108固定在壳体上的零件,和应具有足够的弹性,使上述活动的铰链106可用该壳体的弄薄的材料制造。
如图2和图3所示,当壳体100在关闭位置时,因为上述活动的铰链与前盖102和后盖104作成一个整体,因此铰链106从该壳体突出来。虽然,在某些应用场合,突出来的铰链106并不是不能采用的,但在以消费者为服务对象的应用场合-例如便携式蜂窝式电话手机中,该突出的铰链可能是难看的,和在商业上不可接受的。这样,为了掩盖铰链106,可以设置一个装饰性的盖120。最好,盖120沿着壳体100延伸,将整个铰链106,沿其长度覆盖住(没有示出)。盖120安装在盖前102和后盖104中的至少一个盖上;但最好是安装在二个盖的分别邻近铰链106的前盖和后盖的区域122、124上。为了使盖120安装得与前盖102和/或后盖104齐平,该前盖和/或后盖分别包括一个切口126,128,使该装饰性盖120不会突出只在前盖和后盖的表面之上。可以用任何适当的方法,包括粘接剂、胶带、紧压配合方法、超声波焊接等,将装饰性盖120固定在前盖102和/或后盖104上。

Claims (6)
1.一种包含电子元件的壳体,它包括:
具有空腔的一前盖;
具有空腔的一后盖;
连接所述前盖和后盖的一个活动的铰链;
其中,所述前盖、后盖和活动的铰链是由同一种材料制成;并且是由注模法制成的一个单一的单件整体件。
2.如权利要求1所述的壳体,其特征在于它还包括一块安装在所述前盖腔和所述后盖腔的一个中的印刷电路板。
3.如权利要求1所述的壳体,其特征为,所述前盖包括一个与所述活动的铰链相对的边缘,而所述后盖也包括一个与所述活动的铰链相对的边缘;每一个所述边缘包括一些互相匹配的紧固件,当所述前盖和后盖彼此相向相对转动时,这些紧固件相配合将所述前盖边缘和后盖边缘保持在一起。
