本发明涉及一种用于织物处理的二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物。还涉及一种用该乳液组合物处理的织物。尤其是,通过水的排除,用于织物处理的该二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物在室温下固化,形成一种有挠性的、高度阻燃的涂层。本发明进一步涉及用该乳液组合物处理的高度阻燃的织物。
由于其优良的成膜性能、耐候性、耐油性和防水性,即耐静水压性(hydrostatic resistance),丙烯酸酯聚合物已用作织物的涂层,在帐篷、雨衣和滑冰鞋中使用。然而,丙烯酸酯聚合物湿气渗透性低和防水性差,这是其用作雨衣或滑冰鞋涂层的负面作用。因而,湿气渗透性低导致内部产生水蒸气。同时防水性差使得防水剂的使用成为必需。另外,丙烯酸酯聚合物的织物涂层在30℃或-40℃的极低温下在挠曲过程中容易龟裂。
如英国专利1161072(1969年8月3日)、日本专利公开号(Kokoku)No.Sho54-5007(5,007/1979)和日本专利申请公开号(kokai)No.Hei 1-168972(168,972/1989)中所述,二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物用作涂饰剂。然而,这些组合物在极低温度下不具有满意的膜强度以及在极低温度下不能耐受龟裂。
在日本专利申请公开号(Kokai)No.Hei5-287217(287,217/1993)中公开了含有胶态二氧化硅的二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物。该乳液组合物的阻燃性低,因而在诸如汽车保险气袋和预制帐篷这些要求阻燃性的场合下不能用作涂饰剂。另外,用作用于光催化的二氧化钛的粘附的粘合剂时,该乳液不能提供充分的阻燃性。
因此,本发明的一个目的是提供一种用于织物处理的二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物,通过水的排除,该组合物在室温下固化形成一种有挠性的、高度阻燃的,即使在极低温度下也不会龟裂的涂层。另一目的是提供用该乳液组合物处理的高度阻燃的织物。
本发明的这些和其它特点通过下述详细的说明将变得显而易见。
本发明的用于织物处理的二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物含有(A)100重量份的由(a-1)羟基封端的二有机聚硅氧烷和(a-2)丙烯酸酯单体形成的共聚物的乳液,该(a-1)每一分子中含有至少两个键合到硅原子上的链烯基;(B)1-100重量份胶态二氧化硅;(C)0.01-15.0重量份的缩合催化剂;和(D)1-50重量份无机阻燃剂。
二有机聚硅氧烷组份(a-1)是在每一分子中含有至少两个键合到硅原子上的链烯基的羟基封端的硅氧烷。要求有至少两个链烯基与组份(a-2)发生自由基共聚合以形成牢固的和有挠性的涂层。分子链两端羟基的存在是必要的,从而通过与高聚合度(DP)的、主链仅由软链段组成的网状聚合物组份(B)的缩合而引起反应。链烯基的例证性例子是乙烯基、烯丙基和己烯基,其中优选乙烯基。组份(a-1)中存在的与硅键合的非链烯基有机基团的例证性例子是诸如甲基、乙基、丁基、己基和辛基之类的烷基,诸如苯基的芳基,和诸如3,3,3-三氟丙基之类的取代烃基。其中甲基是优选的与硅键合的非链烯基有机基团。二有机聚硅氧烷的分子结构应为直链,但也可包括部分支化的结构。在25℃下它的动力学粘度为50-1,000,000mm2s,优选100-500,000mm2/s。
二有机聚硅氧烷(a-1)的例证性例子是硅烷醇封端的甲基乙烯基聚硅氧烷,硅烷醇封端的二甲基硅氧烷-甲基乙烯基硅氧烷共聚物,硅烷醇封端的甲基己烯基聚硅氧烷和硅烷醇封端的二甲基硅氧烷-甲基己烯基硅氧烷共聚物。可通过(i)环状二有机聚硅氧烷的开环聚合,(ii)用诸如烷氧基或酰氧基之类可水解基团官能化的直链或支化的二有机聚硅氧烷的水解和缩合,或(iii)一种或多种二有机二卤代硅烷的水解来合成该二有机聚硅氧烷。
丙烯酸酯单体组份(a-2)的例证性例子是诸如丙烯酸甲酯、丙烯酸乙酯、丙烯酸丁酯、丙烯酸辛酯、甲基丙烯酸甲酯、甲基丙烯酸乙酯、甲基丙烯酸丙酯、甲基丙烯酸丁酯、甲基丙烯酸辛酯、甲基丙烯酸2-乙基己基酯和甲基丙烯酸羟乙基酯之类的单体。组份(a-2)含有这些单体作为其主要成分,但也可包含少量的诸如丙烯酸、甲基丙烯酸、丙烯酰胺、丙烯腈、氯乙烯、苯乙烯α-甲基苯乙烯、乙酸乙烯酯、乙烯基三烷氧基硅烷、乙烯基三乙酰氧基硅烷或γ-甲基丙烯酰氧基丙基三甲氧基硅烷之类的其它成分。
通过首先向组份(a-1)中加入水(c)和乳化剂(b)并制备二有机聚硅氧烷乳液;向乳液中加入组份(a-2);以及在自由基聚合引发剂存在下使(a-1)和(a-2)共聚合而制备乳液组份(A)。
乳化剂(b)起使二有机聚硅氧烷(a-1)乳化的作用,它可以是阴离子或非离子型乳化剂。阴离子乳化剂可以是较高级脂肪酸的盐、较高级醇的硫酸酯盐、烷基苯磺酸盐、烷基萘磺酸盐、烷基膦酸盐或聚乙二醇硫酸酯盐。非离子表面活性剂可以是聚氧化乙烯烷基苯基醚、脱水山梨糖醇的脂肪酸酯、聚氧化乙烯脱水山梨糖醇的脂肪酸酯、聚氧化烯的脂肪酸酯或脂肪酸的单甘油酯。表面活性剂可以是单一的表面活性剂或两种或多种表面活性剂的混合物。
以100重量份的组份(a-1)为基准,乳化剂(b)的用量为1-50重量份,以100重量份的组份(a-1)为基准,优选2-30重量份。水(c)的量必须足以能够通过组份(A)-(D)的乳化,制备含水乳液细合物。以100重量份的组份(a-1)为基准,水的存在量为50-1000重量份,以100重量份的组份(a-1)为基准,优选100-500重量份。以100重量份的含组份(a-1)、(b)和(c)的乳液为基准,丙烯酸酯单体(a-2)的用量为1-100重量份,优选5-50重量份。用于共聚合的自由基聚合引发剂的例证性例子可以是过硫酸铵、过硫酸钾、过氧化氢、偶氮二异丁腈二丁基过氧化物和过氧化苯甲酰。
可通过下述方法制备共聚物乳液(A)。首先,在均化器中使用如十二烷基苯磺酸的阴离子乳化剂,使八甲基环四硅氧烷和甲基和乙烯基官能化的环状二有机硅氧烷乳化。在加热至70-90℃的温度下进行开环聚合。聚合反应在10-40℃的较低温度下继续进行以合成带有侧乙烯基的羟基封端的二有机聚硅氧烷,即组份(a-1)的乳液。将该乳液加热到80-85℃,逐滴加入自由基聚合引发剂,在搅拌的同时加入丙烯酸酯单体(a-2),聚合反应继续进行5-8小时。该方法的产品是含有共聚物的乳液(A)。
胶态二氧化硅(B)是加固涂层的增强交联剂。它可以是诸如煅制胶态二氧化硅、沉淀胶态二氧化硅或用钠或铵或铝稳定的粒子尺寸为0.0001-0.1微米的胶态二氧化硅之类的材料。组份(B)的用量为1-100重量份,优选2-50重量份,更优选5-30重量份,在每种情况下均以100重量份的乳液(A)为基准。
缩合催化剂(C)加速了胶态二氧化硅(B)和乳液(A)之间的缩合反应。组份(C)可以是有机酸的金属盐,如二月桂酸二丁基锡、二乙酸二丁基锡、二辛酸二丁基锡、月桂酸锡和辛酸锌,钛酸酯如四丁基钛酸酯、四丙基钛酸酯和二丁氧基钛双(乙基乙酰乙酸酯)或胺化合物如正已胺和胍,包括其氢氯化物在内。在优选的实施方案中,使用乳化剂和水以乳液的形式制备缩合催化剂。组份(C)的用量为0.01-15.0重量份,优选0.05-10.0重量份,在每种情况下均以100重量份的乳液(A)为基准。
无机阻燃剂(D)是必要细份,它是能赋予乳液组合物阻燃性能的组份。组份(D)是必要的,因为用于预制的帐篷材料和汽车保险气袋的基础织物是由极易燃的尼龙和聚酯纤维构成。另外,用于光催化二氧化钛加载的脱味窗帘,其基础织物主要由聚酯基质组成。无机阻燃剂(D)的例证性例子是诸如氧化锑、氢氧化铝和氯铂酸之类的金属化合物,和诸如氯膦酸酯和溴膦酸酯之类的磷化合物。可使用单一的阻燃剂或两种或多种阻燃剂的混合物。最优选氧化锑和氢氧化铝。组份(D)的用量为1-50重量份,优选3-30重量份,在每种情况下均以100重量份的乳液(A)为基准。少于1重量份阻燃性就不足,而超过50重量份的(D)则不仅降低织物的涂层粘合力,而且降低涂层的强度。阻燃剂(D)可在水中作为分散体来使用,或当打算将其刮涂在织物上时,通过加入少量的增稠剂来用作糊料。当粘度变高时,可通过用混合设备使阻燃剂微粒子混合而制备均匀的分散体。
除了无机阻燃剂(D)外,乳液组合物还可含有有机阻燃剂(E)。合适的有机阻燃剂(E)包括诸如六溴环十二烷、氯代石蜡、氯代聚苯和四溴双酚A之类的卤代烃,磷酸二苯基辛基酯和磷酸三丁基酯之类的有机磷酸酯,以及硅氧烷树脂和硅氧烷粉末之类的硅氧烷阻燃剂。组份(E)的用量为0-50重量份,优选0.1-30重量份,在每种情况下均以100重量份的乳液(A)为基准。
乳化各细份(A)-(E),然后调节pH至9-12并陈化,以促进乳液中组份的完全交联并使得形成固态的牢固涂层,仅仅通过水这一组份的排除。PH调节剂可以是诸如二甲胺、乙二胺、单乙醇胺、三乙醇胺、吗啉和2-氨基-2-甲基-1-丙醇之类的有机胺,或诸如氢氧化钠和氢氧化钾之类的碱金属氢氧化物。优选有机胺。进行所述的pH调节接着在预定的温度下陈化预定的时间。陈化应在不破坏乳液的温度下进行。陈化温度典型地为10-70℃,优选20-50℃。陈化时间的设定应相应于陈化温度,即在25℃下优选至少一周,在40℃下优选至少4天。当对室温储存稳定性没有要求时,乳液的pH至少为9。
含有组份(A)-(D)和(A)-(E)的二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物可含有适量的其它组份,包括诸如羧甲基纤维素、甲基纤维素、羟乙基纤维素、聚乙烯醇、聚丙烯酸或其盐之类的增稠剂、碳酸钙、填料、颜料、染料、热稳定剂、防腐剂和诸如氨水之类的浸渍剂。
本发明的二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物有良好的室温储存稳定性,通过水馏分的排除在室温下容易固化,形成牢固粘附于织物上的高度阻燃的涂层。所得到的涂层甚至在如-20℃的低温下仍显示良好的挠性。因此,该组合物作为帐篷、雨衣、滑冰鞋和汽车保险气袋的制造中所使用的织物处理剂是有用的。光催化二氧化钛用在窗帘上作为粘合剂它也是有用的。
对于本发明的目的,术语“织物”包括编织物、针织物、无纺布和由天然、合成、半合成、再生和无机纤维制成的纸张。天然纤维的例证性例子是头发、羊毛、丝、麻、亚麻、棉、马海毛(angora)、马海毛(mohair)和石棉。合成纤维的例证性例子是尼龙、聚酯、聚酰胺、聚丙烯腈、聚氯乙烯、维尼纶、聚乙烯、聚丙烯和弹力纤维。半合成纤维的例证性例子醋酸酯。再生纤维的例证性例子是人造丝和本伯格丝。无机纤维的例证性例子是玻璃纤维、碳纤维和碳化硅纤维。
实施例
通过下述实施例更详细地说明本发明。这些实施例中份数表示重量份数和%表示重量百分数。粘度值在25℃下测量。固化涂层和被处理的织物的性能使用下述步骤评估。
涂层性能
涂层的形成-通过向15×11×0.5cm的铝模板(aluminum form)上倒入30g二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物制备由涂层形成的片材。然后将其放在聚四氟乙烯片材上,并在室温,即大约25℃下保持三天。
涂层物理性能的测量-使用3763-6W哑铃模具,由上述(1)中制备的片材制备哑铃型测试样品。在25℃和-20℃下,以50cm/min的拉伸速率,使用ToyoBaldwin Kabushiki Kaisha的Tensilon Model UTM-1-2500SL仪,在该测试样品上测试抗张强度(kgf/cm2)和伸长率(%)。
挠性-使用Tabai Kabushiki Kaisha的Mini subzero Model MC-71仪,将上述(1)中制备的尺寸为4×2cm、厚度为0.8mm的片材在25℃或-20℃下保持2小时。然后将片材的一端用镊子固定,通过拉伸另一端进行弯曲测试。使用下述标度进行评估,其中+表示甚至在30次弯曲后也绝无变化,Δ表示在大约10次弯曲后发生断裂,和×表示第1次弯曲下发生断裂。
织物性能
织物涂层-在用作预制帐篷的100%聚酯组成的塔夫绸基础织物上,用涂布机涂布二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物乳液组合物,以提供厚度为30微米的膜。接着在室温下将该织物干燥两天,然后在130℃下热处理3分钟。
织物的耐静水压性和防水性-根据日本工业标准(IS)L1092测试法,即所谓的织物耐水性则试方法,其中的5.1节耐水方法A和5.2节通过喷洒测试进行的防水测试,分别测量以mm为单位的耐静水压性和防水性。
织物阻燃性-根据日本工业标准(IS)K7201,即所谓的使用氧指数法进行的塑料燃烧测试法中所规定的燃烧测试。测量氧指数。
涂层与织物的粘着力-在基础织物上所形成的涂层用手指猛刮,通过肉眼观察,使用下述三种级别评估其粘着力。通常,粘着力低会导致在涂层中引入裂纹后从基础织物中剥离和脱胶。根据这三种级别,+表示没有观察到涂层裂纹和脱胶,该涂层粘着牢固;Δ表示涂层中出现一些裂纹,可观察到涂层从基础织物中的一些分离;和×表示涂层从基础织物中脱胶。
涂层的粘性-基于手指的触觉,涂层的粘性与否使用下述级别评估。在该级别中,+表示涂层光滑、干燥和没有观察到粘性;Δ表示可感觉到稍微发粘;和×表示涂层很粘。
实施例1
向40份聚合度为4的二甲基环硅氧烷和4份聚合度为4的甲基乙烯基环硅氧烷的混合物中加入2份十二烷基苯磺酸和53.64份水,用搅拌器使混合物混合均化30分钟。将所得到的混合物以350kg/cm2的压力两次通过均化乳化器并得到均匀的乳液。该乳液在85-90℃下保温2小时,然后冷却到20-30℃并聚合3小时。为了中和而加入0.36份碳酸钠。产品是含有二甲基硅氧烷-甲基乙烯基硅氧烷共聚物的乳液。下文将其称为基础乳液A。所提取的二有机聚硅氧烷共聚物是具有下述平均分子式的胶状材料:

向90份基础乳液A中加入4份甲基丙烯酸甲酯,通过搅拌30分钟而均匀分散,将该分散体转移到三口瓶中,加入事先制备好的0.2份过硫酸钾溶于5.8份水中得到的含水溶液,并将反应体系放置于氮气氛围之下。升温至70-80℃并保温3小时以进行聚合反应。该产品是一种乳液,下文称为乳液A-1,它含有甲基丙烯酸甲酯与二甲基硅氧烷-甲基乙烯基硅氧烷共聚物的共聚物。将乳液A-1液滴放于玻璃盘上并干燥。该产品是完全透明的薄膜,证明了二甲基硅氧烷-甲基乙烯基硅氧烷共聚物和甲基丙烯酸甲酯进行了均匀的共聚合反应。向85.0份乳液A-1中加入15份胶态二氧化硅,0.2份二乙胺作为pH调节剂和0.3份50%的含有二月桂酸二丁基锡的乳液。接着溶解和分散使之均匀。在45±3℃下陈化一周,得到pH为11-12的乳液A-2。向100份乳液A-2中加入8份氢氧化铝微粒子和2份六溴环十二烷。在混合下得到一乳液组合物,下文称为乳液组合物A-3。测试由该乳液组合物A-3所提供的涂层的性能以及用乳液组合物A-3涂布的聚酯塔夫绸织物的性能。结果参见表1。
如表1结果所揭露,源于二有机聚硅氧烷/甲基丙烯酸甲酯共聚物乳液组合物A-3的固化涂层有高的抗张强度和伸长率,和在低温,即-20℃和环境温度,即25℃下均有良好的挠性。而且,涂层与基础织物之间粘着力好,不发粘,并具有优良的耐水性,即耐静水压性和防水性,以及阻燃性。用乳液组合物A-3处理的聚酯塔夫绸织物被证明非常适于应用在预制帐篷制造中所使用的用于极冷环境下的织物。
比较实施例1
根据实施例1制备二有机聚硅氧烷/甲基丙烯酸甲酯共聚物乳液组合物,但没有加入实施例1中所使用的胶态二氧化硅、二乙胺和二月桂酸二丁基锡乳液。根据实施例1测试所得到的乳液组合物性能,结果参见表1。
比较实施例2
根据实施例1制备二有机聚硅氧烷/甲基丙烯酸甲酯共聚物乳液组合物,但没有加入实施例1中所使用的二乙胺和二月桂酸二丁基锡乳液。根据实施例1测试所得到的乳液组合物性能,结果参见表1。
比较实施例3
向配有分液漏斗的四口瓶中引入45份水,2.5份阴离子表面活性剂十二烷基苯磺酸钠,1.5份非离子表面活性剂聚氧化乙烯(14.5)辛基苯基醚,和2份过硫酸钠并搅拌均匀。从分液漏斗向烧瓶中逐滴加入11份甲基丙烯酸甲酯和33份丙烯酸乙酯的混合物。滴完后,反应在75℃下维持5小时。该产品是甲基丙烯酸甲酯/丙烯酸乙酯共聚物的乳液。根据实施例1测试该乳液的性能,结果参见表1。

实施例2
调节实施例1中所制备的乳液组合物A-3,使其含量为非挥发组份占4%重量和水馏分占96%重量,并将其倾入一矩形容器中。预制帐篷制造中所使用的聚酯塔夫绸织物在该浴器中浸渍5秒,在轧布辊上以50%的压缩比进行扭绞,使得在塔夫绸织物上有2%重量的添加量。在室温下干燥过夜,在130℃下热处理3分钟。测试所得到的用浸渍处理过的聚酯塔夫绸织物的性能,结果见表2。表2中所列的结果表明:使用乳液组合物A-3的浸渍处理所制备的用于极冷环境预制帐篷材料的织物,与实施例1所制备的织物相当。

实施例3
向40份聚合度为4的二甲基环硅氧烷和4份聚合度为4的甲基乙烯基环硅氧烷的混合物中加入2份十二烷基苯磺酸和53.64份水,用搅拌器使混合物混合均化30分钟。将所得到的混合物以350kg/cm2的压力两次通过均化乳化器并得到均匀的乳液。该乳液在85-90℃下保温2小时,然后冷却到20-30℃并聚合3小时。为了中和而加入0.36份碳酸钠。产品是含有二甲基硅氧烷-甲基乙烯基硅氧烷共聚物的乳液。下文将其称为基础乳液A。所提取的二有机聚硅氧烷共聚物是具有与实施例1所示的相同平均分子式的胶状材料。
将0.25g过硫酸钠溶于5份水而事先制备好的水溶液,加入90份基础乳液中,和反应体系在75-78℃下保温。以小的等分试样从额外的漏斗向基础乳液中加入含有5份甲基丙烯酸甲酯、11份丙烯酸丁酯和15份丙烯酸乙酯的混合物。滴完后保持3小时得到乳液B-1。含有共聚物的乳液B-1在铝杯中自然干燥,然后在130℃下加热5分钟,得到一牢固的、几乎透明的涂层。这证明:二甲基硅氧烷-甲基乙烯基硅氧烷共聚物和丙烯酸单体进行了均匀的共聚合反应。向85.0份乳液B-1中加入15份胶态二氧化硅、0.2份作为pH调节剂的二乙胺和0.3份50%的含有二月桂酸二丁基锡的乳液。使混合物溶解,然后分散使之均匀。在45±3℃下陈化一周,得到乳液B-2。向100份乳液B-2中混合并加入8份氢氧化铝微粒子和2份六溴环十二烷。得到一组合物,下文称为乳液组合物B-3。向乳液组合物B-3中加入1份聚丙烯酸钠,以调节其粘度为20,000mPa.s,用刮涂机在用于汽车保险气袋的聚酯基础织物上涂布,以便得到厚度为40微米的薄膜。在室温下静置过夜干燥被涂布的织物,然后在130℃下热处理5分钟。在被涂布的气袋织物上的涂层与表面粘着紧密,没有观察到发粘,和其氧指数为18.2。这些结果证明:本发明的乳液组合物非常适于用作保险气袋的涂层。
实施例4
将100%聚酯的开司米仿麂皮服饰布料在3%重量的实施例1所制备的乳液(A-3)稀溶液中浸渍5秒,在轧布辊上以100%的压缩比进行扭绞并在150℃下加热5分钟。通过触觉操作的手感评价所得到的被处理织物。发现具有高度回弹和弹性手感。这些结果证明:本发明的乳液组合物非常适于合成纤维织物和纺织品的浸渍处理。通过将被处理的织物与香烟点燃的一端接触来评价其阻燃性。织物没有熔化,甚至在与香烟红的燃烧区域接触30秒的过程中没有产生孔洞。相比之下,当未处理的开司米仿麂皮织物在与香烟点燃的一端接触时,5秒内产生了大约7.5mm的洞。
通过水馏分的排除,具有组份(A)-(D)、含有二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物的乳液组合物拥有室温下固化的同时形成挠性的、高度阻燃涂层的能力。用这些乳液组合物处理的织物也拥有优良的阻燃性。

Claims (8)

1.一种用于织物处理的、含有二有机聚硅氧烷/丙烯酸酯共聚物的乳液组合物,包括:(A)100重量份乳液,含有由(i)羟基封端的、其中在每一分子中含有至少两个键合到硅原子上的链烯基的二有机聚硅氧烷和(ii)丙烯酸酯单体形成的共聚物;(B)1-100重量份胶态二氧化硅;(C)0.01-15.0重量份的缩合催化剂;和(D)1-50重量份无机阻燃剂。
2.权利要求1的组合物,其中缩合催化剂(C)是一种选自二月桂酸二丁基锡、二乙酸二丁基锡、二辛酸二丁基锡、月桂酸锡和辛酸锌的有机酸的金属盐,选自四丁基钛酸酯、四丙基钛酸酯和二丁氧基钛双(乙基乙酰乙酸酯)的钛酸酯或选自正已胺和胍的胺化合物。
3.权利要求1的组合物,其中无机阻燃剂(D)是氢氧化铝、氧化锑、氯膦酸酯或溴膦酸酯。
4.权利要求3的组合物,进一步包括(E)0.1-30重量份的有机阻燃剂,它选自卤代烃、有机磷酸酯或硅氧烷。
5.一种处理织物的方法,包括在织物上涂布权利要求1的组合物。
6.权利要求5的方法,其中组合物以织物浸渍液的方式涂布到织物上。
7.权利要求6的方法,其中织物是用于帐篷或汽车保险气袋制造中所使用的材料。
8.根据权利要求5所述的方法处理的织物。
