Description

双边叠层式触摸屏及其制作方法
本发明通常涉及无线电通讯领域,尤其涉及于个人无线电收发器。尽管本发明具有广泛的应用,但它尤其适用于手提式无线电话,因此将着重对此进行描述。
在本领域中,与用于无线电话中的触摸屏集成在一起的液晶显示器已经公知。这些触摸屏主要包括四层:前层(pet膜,聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯膜);带有柔性引线(flex tail)的电路层,该引线是用来与无线电话中的微处理器相连接的;粘接层以及用来显示触摸屏活动区域和可视区域的玻璃板。其中,前层是用来保护玻璃层的。然而当无线电话处非于工作状态时,触摸屏还需要另外的保护性覆盖物,因为前层的结实程度并不能够使电话在掉在地上或其它使用不当的情况下不会摔断或产生裂缝。这种额外的保护性覆盖物增加了电话的体积和费用。
因此,需要一种新的触摸屏,它可以与液晶显示模块一起使用而不需要额外的保护性覆盖物,该保护性覆盖层使组合件在掉在地上或其它使用不当的情况下不会摔断或产生裂缝。
图1是一个无线通讯***的框图,本发明触摸屏的优选实施方案可以在这个***内实现。
图2是本发明触摸屏的优选实施方案的详细说明,它可以和图1所示的显示模块一起使用。
本发明提供了一种耐用的触摸屏以及制作该触摸屏的方法,这种触摸屏可以和诸如无线电话一类的无线通讯设备的显示模块一起使用。在目前的优选实施方案中,触摸屏包括前层、带有柔性引线的电路层、设置在电路层下边的第一粘接层、具有上、下表面并且上、下表面分别和第一、第二粘接层相连的玻璃板、以及设置在第二粘接层上的底层,这样底层和玻璃板就结合在一起。底层明显地提高了触摸屏的强度,因此可以不需要额外的保护性透镜来使触摸屏掉在地上时不会摔断或产生裂缝。去除保护性透镜可以减小无线电话的体积和重量,也可以优化产品的外观和触摸效果。
在下面的描述中将部分地举出本发明的其它优点和新特征,其中展示和描述了本发明的优选实施方案。下面将详细描述根据本发明一个实施方案。
本发明的优选实施方案优选地包括一台带有触摸屏126的无线通讯设备103,触摸屏126用来显示与诸如电话、电子邮件、短电报信息或其他服务等特殊通讯服务相联系的功能图标,并且放在机身外壳107内。这些在屏幕上显示的功能图标可以通过用指示笔或书写工具接触摸屏幕来访问。
图1是无线通讯***100的框图。无线通讯***100包括用来向/从某一固定地理区域内的多台无线通讯设备发送/接受射频信号的远程收发器101。无线通讯设备103就是在远程收发器101服务地理区域内的这样一台无线通讯设备。在远程收发器101和无线通讯设备103之间传递的射频信号可以提供诸如无线电话服务、电子邮件服务、无线传真服务和短电报服务等无线通讯服务。本发明的其它实施方案可以包括这些通讯服务和其它无线通讯服务的一些其它组合方式。
无线通讯设备103包括天线105和机身外壳107。在优选实施方案中,机身外壳107包括无线电线路113,处理器115,用户界面117。用户界面117包括显示模块119,触摸屏126,麦克风121,扬声器123,以及小键盘125。
无线通讯设备103通过天线105接受射频信号并把接受到的射频信号转化成无线电线路113所用的电流射频信号。无线电线路113将电流射频信号解调后恢复射频信号所传递的数据。另外,无线电线路113输出数据到处理器115上。处理器115至少包括一台类似摩托罗拉公司MC68040的主微处理器和相应的内存以及包含集成电路或其它现有技术的其它控制电路。处理器115将无线电线路113输出的数据转化成用户界面117所用的一种可识别的声音或电报信息格式。用户界面117将接受到的信息或声音通过扬声器123和与显示模块119一起应用的触摸屏126传递给用户。
当射频信号从无线通讯设备103传输到远程收发器101后,用户界面117就将用户的输入数据输送到处理器105上。这些数据包括声音数据和(或)电报信息。处理器105把从用户界面117获取的信息进行格式化处理,然后将格式化处理后的信息输送到无线电线路113上。无线电线路113将格式化处理后的信息转换成电流射频调制信号,传输到天线105以进一步发送回远程收发器101。
图2是图1所示的触摸屏126的详细说明。在目前的优选实施方案中,触摸屏126包括六层:可以通过商业途径从GE Plastics、Pittsfield、MA等获得的前层pet膜127;电路层128,优选地,该层带有可与图1所示的微处理器115相联接的柔性引线;第一粘接层129,这一层优选可以通过商业途径从3M公司、Rochester、MN等获得的光学透明的聚丙烯类粘接剂;玻璃板130,这一层优选可以通过商业途径从PPG glass、Elgin、IL等获得的化学强化玻璃;第二粘接层131,这一层优选可以通过商业途径从3M公司获得的具有光学透明性质的聚丙烯类粘接剂;以及可以通过商业途径从GE Plastics获得的底层pet膜133。
在本优选实施方案中,前层127设置在电路层128的上表面。玻璃板130的上表面通过第一粘接层129与电路层128的下表面结合在一起。然后底层133通过第二粘接层131与玻璃板130的下表面结合在一起。最后,触摸屏通过粘和剂安装在液晶显示器显示模块的正面。
与本发明的触摸屏126的优选实施方案集成在一起的无线电话进行了六次脚坠落测试和球承载冲击测试(坠落测试)以确保显示模块119和触摸屏126可以经得起用户将其摔落或其它不当使用而不会发生断裂或裂缝。另外也对通常应用的第一类仅包括四层(前层pet膜层127,电路层128,粘接层129和玻璃板130)的触摸屏进行过同样的测试以检验底层133对触摸屏126的冲击。本发明的触摸屏126可以承受的坠落测试下落高度比常规的仅由四层组成的触摸屏可承受的坠落测试下落高度高50%。
测试结果表明本发明的触摸屏126符合高标准耐用性的要求并且不需要额外的聚丙烯类透镜对显示模块119进行保护,这种发明是将包围玻璃板129的前层127和底层133集成在一起。去除保护性透镜可以充分利用无线通讯设备103的触摸屏特征并减少了装置103的总体体积和重量,由此对用户而言优化了整个产品。
本领域技术人员将会认识到可以对本发明的装置和其制造做出种种修正和变更而不会偏离本发明的范围和精神。

Claims (10)

1.一种用于液晶显示模块的触摸屏,该触摸屏包括:
前层;
设置在前层下面的电路层;
设置在电路层下面的玻璃板;以及
用粘接剂与玻璃板结合在一起的底层。
2.如权利要求1所述的触摸屏,其中:所述前层是pet膜(聚对苯二甲酸乙二酯膜)。
3.如权利要求1所述的触摸屏,其中:所述玻璃板是化学强化玻璃板。
4.如权利要求1所述的触摸屏,其中:所述粘接剂是光学透明的聚丙烯粘接剂。
5.如权利要求1所述的触摸屏,其中:所述底层是pet膜。
6.如权利要求1所述的触摸屏,其中:所述电路层带有可以将该层连接到微处理器上去的柔性引线。
7.一种用于液晶显示模块的触摸屏,该触摸屏包括:
前层;
设置在前层下面的电路层;
具有上、下表面并且其上表面通过第一粘接层与电路层结合在一起的玻璃板;以及
通过第二粘接层与玻璃板的下表面结合在一起的底层。
8.一种无线通讯设备,该设备包括天线、无线电线路、处理器、包括触摸屏的显示器、麦克风、扬声器和小键盘,其中:该触摸屏包括前层、设置在前层表面下面的玻璃板、设置在玻璃板表面上的粘接层;以及设置在粘接层上以便和玻璃板结合在一起的底层。
9.一种制作触摸屏的方法,该触摸屏具有前层、电路层、具有上、下表面的玻璃板、粘接层以及底层,该方法包括下列步骤:
将前层设置在电路层上;
将电路层设置在玻璃板的上表面上;
并将底层用粘接剂与玻璃板的下表面结合在一起。
10.一种无线通讯设备,该设备包括天线、无线电线路、处理器、包括触摸屏的显示器和麦克风,其中:
该触摸屏包括前层、设置在前层表面下面的玻璃板、设置在玻璃板表面上的粘接层、以及设置在粘接层上以便和玻璃板结合在一起的底层。
