本申请实施例公开了一种信道估计方法和装置,涉及通信技术领域,有助于降低指示开销。该方法可以包括:生成并发送指示信息,指示信息用于指示M个N维预编码向量,每个预编码向量应用于M个频带中的一个频带,M个N维预编码向量构成一个空频矩阵,空频矩阵由多个空频分量矩阵加权合并生成;空频矩阵是一个M×N维空频向量或者X×Y的空频矩阵,其中X和Y分别为M和N之中的一个和另一个,M≥1,N≥2,M和N均是整数。
