Detailed Description
In order to make the objects, technical solutions and advantages of the present invention more apparent, the present invention is described in further detail below with reference to the accompanying drawings and embodiments. It should be understood that the specific embodiments described herein are merely illustrative of the invention and are not intended to limit the invention.
As introduced in the background art, before the thin film transistor substrate in the liquid crystal display panel is modularized, the terminal short-circuit ring is usually used to perform lighting detection in the box forming stage, and then the terminal short-circuit ring is cut off by a laser machine or other devices, so as to avoid affecting the subsequent modularization stage, the lighting detection cannot be performed on the liquid crystal display panel in the module stage, and only the problem of poor appearance of the liquid crystal display panel can be detected, and the problem of poor electrical property cannot be detected, so that the detection personnel cannot judge whether the liquid crystal display panel after being modularized has defects. Therefore, the embodiment of the invention provides a lighting detection method for a liquid crystal display panel, which can perform lighting detection on the liquid crystal display panel in the assembling stage. It should be noted that the modularizing stage in the embodiment of the present invention includes a stage after the liquid crystal display panel is modularized. The cell forming stage in the embodiment of the invention comprises a stage when the liquid crystal display panel is formed into a cell and a stage after the cell is formed and before modularization.
The embodiment of the invention provides a lighting detection method of a liquid crystal display panel, which can realize lighting detection of the liquid crystal display panel at a module stage.
The liquid crystal display panel mentioned in the embodiment of the invention is a main element in the liquid crystal display screen, and the basic manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display screen is divided into four sections: array (Array) process, color Filter (color Filter) process, cell (Cell) process, and Module (Module) process. Wherein the array process mainly comprises forming a Thin Film Transistor (TFT) on a glass substrate; the color film manufacturing process mainly comprises the steps of forming a color film substrate; the box forming process mainly comprises the steps of forming liquid crystal cutting splinters, and injecting liquid crystal materials between the glass substrate and the color film substrate; the module process mainly includes installing the driving chip, printed circuit board, backlight module and so on the cut panel.
In order to ensure the yield of the liquid crystal display panel, a plurality of inspection procedures are required in the manufacturing process, wherein one important inspection procedure is to test the cut liquid crystal box, namely, the box stage detection is carried out to confirm whether the liquid crystal box has defects. In an exemplary embodiment, a terminal shorting ring is disposed on the periphery of the liquid crystal display panel before modularization, and connected to the gate driving signal line of the thin film transistor. After the box-forming stage lighting detection, the terminal short-circuit ring of the liquid crystal display panel is cut by a laser machine and the like until the terminal short-circuit ring is cut off, and then the liquid crystal display panel is sent to be modularized. The terminal short circuit ring is a metal circuit on the periphery of the liquid crystal display panel and is used for realizing a short circuit bar (Shorting bar) type lighting test. And then, the conductive adhesive can be used for providing a driving voltage signal for the liquid crystal display panel to realize the lighting detection of the assembled liquid crystal display panel.
Specifically, the conductive adhesive is a strip-shaped conductor which is lapped on the liquid crystal display panel to provide a driving voltage signal for the panel. At the same time, the elongated conductor can generally only output one voltage. However, in the liquid crystal display panel adopting the array substrate row driving technology, each gate driving signal line may need two or more different voltages to be controlled at the same time. Illustratively, at the same time, a low-frequency Clock (CK) signal line needs 28V or-8V voltage control, a constant-voltage low-level (VSS) signal line needs 6V voltage control, a high-frequency clock (LC) signal line needs 28V voltage control, a Starting (ST) signal line of a driving circuit needs 28V or-8V voltage control, and an array substrate common electrode (ACOM) signal line needs 6.5V voltage control. Therefore, the conductive paste may not be used to transmit signals to light the display panel. The array substrate line driving technology is to manufacture a gate line scanning driving signal circuit on an array substrate to realize a driving mode of scanning the gate line by line. In addition, the gate driving signal line further includes a common electrode (CK) signal line, and the like, which is not limited herein.
And for the liquid crystal display screen of the non-array substrate row driving technology, a terminal short circuit ring is cut off after the lighting test in the box forming stage, if the terminal short circuit ring is abnormal, the lighting test can be realized by using the conductive adhesive in a 1D1G mode. The 1D1G scheme is a scheme in which all data signal lines selected at the same time in a liquid crystal display panel of the non-array substrate row driving technique are supplied with the same voltage, and all gate driving signal lines of all rows selected at the same time are supplied with the same voltage. Therefore, the conductive adhesive is used for providing a driving voltage signal for the liquid crystal display panel to perform lighting detection, and the method is suitable for the 1D1G mode lighting test of the liquid crystal display screen of the non-array substrate line driving technology.
In the liquid crystal display panel using the array substrate row driving technology, each gate driving signal line needs two or more different voltages to control at the same time, so that the liquid crystal display panel is not suitable for the 1D1G lighting test by using the conductive adhesive after cutting off the terminal short-circuit loop. Note that the data signal lines mentioned in the embodiments of the present invention include R (red) pixel data signal lines, G (green) pixel data signal lines, and B (blue) pixel data signal lines.
In addition, as shown in fig. 1, the turn-on mode of the gate driving signals in the liquid crystal display panel with the array substrate row driving technology is the cascade-on mode, and as shown in fig. 2, the liquid crystal display panel with the non-array substrate row driving technology is the odd-even row gate driving signals simultaneously on, which further indicates that the latter lighting detection logic cannot be used in the former. In fig. 2, the first row and the third row are waveforms of driving signals for the gates of odd and even rows, respectively, and the second row is a waveform of a data signal.
Therefore, the embodiment of the invention provides a method for detecting the lighting of the liquid crystal display panel, which can realize the lighting detection of the liquid crystal display panel in the module stage when the liquid crystal display panel is cut off, and can provide different voltages at the same time. The liquid crystal display panel adopts an array substrate grid driving technology, namely a grid line scanning driving signal circuit is manufactured on an array substrate so as to realize a driving mode of scanning grids line by line. The liquid crystal display panel is provided with signal lines, including data signal lines and gate driving signal lines of a gate driving circuit. The gate driving signal lines may include an array substrate common electrode signal line, a high frequency clock signal line, a start signal line, a constant voltage low level signal line, and a low frequency clock signal line. The data signal lines may include a red pixel data signal line, a green pixel data signal line, and a blue pixel data signal line.
As shown in fig. 3, the method for detecting the lighting of the liquid crystal display panel includes steps 302 to 306:
step 302: and acquiring a terminal short-circuit ring which is cut off and connected with the signal wire on the liquid crystal display panel after lighting detection in the box forming stage.
Specifically, the terminal short-circuit ring is a metal line provided on the periphery of the liquid crystal display panel and connected to a panel terminal, and is used to implement lighting detection by a short-circuit bar (shorting bar).
Step 304: and the signal lines disconnected with the terminal short circuit rings are connected one by using the electrical connecting pieces, wherein the same type of grid driving signal lines are in short circuit through the corresponding electrical connecting pieces.
Optionally, each gate driving signal line is connected to a corresponding electrical connector, one electrical connector may be connected to one gate driving signal line, and gate driving signal lines of the same signal may also be connected to the same electrical connector. The electrical connector can comprise a probe and can also comprise a conductive adhesive wire, such as Jin Jiaoxian, and the gold adhesive has high stability, good conductivity and good bonding effect and is beneficial to stable electrical connection with the gate driving signal wire and the data signal wire.
As for the connection with the gate driving signal line by the probe, the probe may be stuck to a region where the gate driving signal line is disconnected from the terminal short ring, i.e., a region where the gate driving signal line is to be bonded (bonded) to a driving chip (IC) after the module is formed. Illustratively, the step of connecting the probe to the gate driving signal line includes: providing a lighting fixture which comprises a plurality of probes and peripheral wires connected with the probes, then contacting a welding Pad (Pad) of each grid driving signal wire, such as a welding Pad, by using the probes, and then shorting the peripheral wires connected with the same signal welding Pad together. The subsequent steps are to utilize the short-connected peripheral wires and probes to provide different testing voltages for different kinds of grid driving signal wires.
Similarly, the connection between the probe and the data signal line may be made by pricking the probe to a region where the data signal line is disconnected from the terminal short-circuit ring, i.e., a region where the data signal line is to be bonded (bonded) to a driving chip (IC) after the modularization. The specific steps of connecting the probe with the data signal line include: the welding pads (Pad) of each grid driving signal wire are contacted by the probes of the lighting fixture, and then the peripheral wires connected with the same signal welding pads are shorted together. For example, the peripheral traces of the pads connecting the red pixel data signal lines are shorted together, similarly to the pads of the green and blue pixel data signal lines. The subsequent step is to utilize the peripheral wiring to provide different test voltages for different kinds of gate driving signal lines.
Further, fig. 4 provides an overall layout diagram of the lighting fixture in an embodiment. The lighting fixture comprises a signal generator, peripheral wiring, probes and test signal wiring (including data test signal wiring and grid drive test signal wiring), wherein the signal generator is connected with the probes through the peripheral wiring and the test signal wiring, the probes are connected with terminals in a liquid crystal display panel, namely, lighting test signals output by the signal generator are shunted to the test signal wiring through the peripheral wiring, and are finally input into the liquid crystal display panel through the probes to realize lighting detection. Fig. 4 is a connection structure 410 of a signal generator and a test signal trace, fig. 5 is an enlarged schematic view of the connection structure 410 of the dashed line frame of fig. 4, fig. 5 is a schematic view of the connection structure of the signal generator and the test signal trace, the test signal trace 510 is selected in the dashed line frame of fig. 5, the middle is a data test signal trace, and the two sides are gate driving test signal traces. Fig. 6 is a schematic diagram of the left gate driving test signal traces in fig. 5, and a dashed frame in fig. 6 is a selected alignment terminal 610 for aligning with a terminal on the liquid crystal display panel, so that the gate driving test signal traces of the lighting fixture correspond to the gate driving signal lines of the liquid crystal display panel one to one. Fig. 7 is a schematic diagram of a data test signal trace 710.
As shown in fig. 6, each gate driving test signal trace end 620 is designed to be a bent line, so that the contact area of each gate driving test signal trace end 620 with the probe is greatly increased. As shown in fig. 7, the data test signal traces are divided into four rows of traces, which also increases the contact area between the data test signal traces and the probes.
Regarding the connection between the conductive adhesive line and the gate driving signal line, fig. 8 provides a schematic diagram of the terminal short-circuit ring and the gate driving signal line after the terminal short-circuit ring is disconnected in one embodiment, and fig. 8 includes the terminal short-circuit ring 810 and the gate driving signal line 820. The width of the terminal short ring cut may be 80 to 200 micrometers. Based on fig. 8, fig. 9 is a schematic diagram of the terminal short-circuit ring and the gate driving signal line connected by the conductive adhesive line in an embodiment. In the figure, each gate driving signal line is connected to a corresponding terminal short-circuit ring through a conductive adhesive line 830, and then the terminal short-circuit rings with the same signal can be shorted together, and in the subsequent steps, different testing voltages are provided for different types of gate driving signal lines by using the shorted terminal short-circuit rings.
With regard to the connection with the data signal lines by the conductive adhesive lines, each data signal line is connected with a corresponding terminal short-circuit ring by a conductive adhesive line, and then the terminal short-circuit rings of the same signal may be shorted together, for example, the terminal short-circuit rings connected with the red pixel data signal lines. The subsequent steps utilize the short-circuited terminal short-circuit ring to provide different test voltages for different kinds of grid driving signal lines.
The above embodiments have described specific ways of connecting the conductive paste lines and the probes to the data signal lines, respectively. In other embodiments, a strip-shaped conductive adhesive can be connected with the data signal line, the conductive adhesive is easy to arrange, and compared with a mode that the grid driving signal line and the data signal line are all connected with the conductive adhesive line or the probe, the labor cost can be saved.
Step 306: the electric connecting piece is used for providing test voltage for the signal wire so as to carry out lighting detection on the liquid crystal display panel, wherein different types of grid driving signal wires are connected with different test voltages.
Optionally, step 306 includes applying a 1D1G lighting detection method, and providing voltages to the signal lines by using the electrical connectors, that is, providing the same test voltage to all the data signal lines, and providing different voltages to different gate driving signal lines. Therefore, the advantage of the embodiment of connecting the data signal line by using the strip-shaped conductive adhesive can be further embodied. For example, a 28V test voltage is provided to the low frequency clock signal line, while a-6V test voltage is provided to the constant voltage low level signal line. The on-off circuit of the multimeter can be used for carrying out signal test on the welding pad of the modular liquid crystal display panel, so that the grid driving signal lines with the same signals are collected. Further, as described above, the test voltage of the low frequency clock signal line may be provided in a cascade manner.
According to the lighting detection method of the liquid crystal display panel, the terminal short-circuit ring is cut off after lighting detection in the box forming stage, the grid driving signal line and the data signal line of the driving circuit disconnected with the terminal short-circuit ring can be connected through the electric connecting piece, then different testing voltages are provided for different types of grid driving signal lines through the electric connecting piece, and testing voltages are provided for the data signal line, so that the lighting detection of the liquid crystal display panel is carried out. Therefore, by using the method for detecting the lighting of the liquid crystal display panel, the lighting of the liquid crystal display panel can be detected again even if the terminal short-circuit ring is cut off after the lighting detection in the box forming stage. And each grid driving signal line is connected with the corresponding electrical connecting piece, thereby being beneficial to providing different testing voltages for different kinds of grid driving signal lines and improving the success rate of lighting detection of the liquid crystal display panel.
It should be understood that, although the steps in the flowchart of fig. 3 are shown in order as indicated by the arrows, the steps are not necessarily performed in order as indicated by the arrows. The steps are not performed in the exact order shown and described, and may be performed in other orders, unless explicitly stated otherwise. Moreover, at least a portion of the steps in fig. 3 may include multiple sub-steps or multiple stages that are not necessarily performed at the same time, but may be performed at different times, and the order of performance of the sub-steps or stages is not necessarily sequential, but may be performed in turn or alternately with other steps or at least a portion of the sub-steps or stages of other steps.
The embodiment of the invention also provides a lighting fixture, which is used for lighting test of the liquid crystal display panel, wherein the liquid crystal display panel is internally provided with signal wires, the signal wires comprise grid driving signal wires of a grid driving circuit, and the lighting fixture comprises a plurality of electrical connecting pieces, which are used for connecting the signal wires disconnected with the terminal short circuit rings one by one; wherein, the same kind of grid drive signal line passes through the short circuit of electrical connector.
When the electrical connector includes a plurality of probes and peripheral wires connected to the probes, the lighting fixture is specifically limited as described in the foregoing embodiments, and details are not repeated herein.

After the lighting detection in the box forming stage, the terminal short-circuit ring is cut off, and the electric connecting piece of the lighting fixture can be used for connecting the signal wire of the liquid crystal display panel, so that the lighting detection of the liquid crystal display panel is realized. Therefore, by using the method for detecting the lighting of the liquid crystal display panel, the lighting of the liquid crystal display panel can be detected again even if the terminal short-circuit ring is cut off after the lighting detection in the box forming stage. And the same kind of grid driving signal line is connected together through corresponding electrical connector short circuit, is favorable to realizing providing different test voltages to different kinds of grid driving signal line, can improve this liquid crystal display panel's the success rate of detecting of lighting a lamp.
