Description

Folding device comprising a folder and a labelling machine
Technical Field
The present patent application for industrial invention relates to a folding device comprising a folder and a labelling machine.
In the present invention, the labelling machine is a machine capable of moving and placing labels from a first position (preferably in a store) to a second position, wherein the folder of the folding device is adapted to fold the patches or pockets. And the patch or pocket is positioned continuously on the web by inserting a label applied by the labelling machine.
Although the description and the claims refer to labels, the labelling machine of the present invention may also be used to move and support any type of protective film, trimmings or inserts, suitable for being positioned under a folder.
The machine according to the invention may comprise, downstream of the folding device, a sewing device adapted to sew the pockets and the labels on the piece of fabric, wherein the pocket and the labels have been positioned by the folder and the labelling machine.
Background
Garments are known having labels sewn into the side edges of the pocket.
In order to sew the label on the side edge of the pocket, the operator must manually pick up the label from the area where it is stored, separating it from the other labels.
The operator must then position the label between the piece of fabric at the pocket to be folded and sewn and the lateral edge of the pocket not folded on the fabric, so that the label partially protrudes from the lateral edge of the pocket. It must be noted that in some cases the label is already folded.
Furthermore, it must be noted that the tag is currently inserted in the following way: when the folder moves backward, after folding the pocket, the pocket is folded on the board, a piece of fabric sheet is applied thereon without being completely adhered, and then the label is inserted with a jig. This fact makes the insertion difficult and risks causing problems on the folded edges of the pocket. In fact, in the event of contact, the folded edge of the pocket tends to move, thus losing the correct position for folding the pocket.
In addition to compromising the proper positioning of the pocket, this method requires a long time to properly apply the pocket.
It must be noted that in some cases, the label is folded in two before application to the fabric sheet, so that the slot is formed after application and sewing of the label. These tags may be stored in a folded or unfolded state. In the latter case, the label needs to be manually folded immediately before being sewn to the pocket.
This process for picking up and positioning the labels suffers from serious drawbacks.
A first drawback is that picking and positioning the label on the web requires a high degree of operator precision. As already mentioned, the operator must from time to time place the tag in the same position with respect to the pocket so that the garment is identical. Obviously, the operator must be skilled and trained to properly place the label between the piece of fabric and the pocket.
A second drawback is that when the labels are not stored in the folded condition, they must be folded manually by the operator and then placed between the piece of fabric and the pocket. Obviously, such folding operations are long, difficult and require a high level of attention and precision.

More specifically, the fingers 50 may be in a proximal position, wherein the fingers 50 are in contact to support the label, as shown in fig. 15, and the fingers 50 may be in a distal position, wherein the fingers are spaced apart to allow insertion of the label E between the fingers 50, as shown in fig. 11.
The folding apparatus 5 comprises a rotation device 52 (not shown in the figures) connected to said fingers 50, said rotation device 52 rotating said fingers 50 by 180 ° about a horizontal axis with respect to the central position of the two fingers 50 when said fingers 50 are in the horizontal position.
Advantageously, the folding apparatus 5 comprises translation means (not shown in the figures) to move the finger 50 closer to/further from the outlet 22 of the storage device 2.
The folding apparatus 5 comprises fastening means 53, the fastening means 53 being adapted to support and fasten the tag E when it is folded. Referring to fig. 11 and 12, the gripper 1 picks up the label E and moves the label E out of the storage device 2.
Referring to fig. 13, when the label E passes under the rotating lever of the fastening device 53, the rotating lever rotates in such a manner as to block the label E. The gripper 1 opens to release the label E.
Referring to fig. 14, the finger 50 in the open position moves closer to the tag E and is arranged in such a way that: one finger is above the label E and the other finger is below the label E.
With reference to fig. 15 to 17, the fingers 50 are closed to pick up the labels E and rotated by 180 ° about their rotation axis to fold the labels E.
Referring to fig. 18 to 20, the gripper 1 moves closer to the label E and grips the label E near its folded edge. The rotating lever of the fastening device 53 is lifted and the finger 50 is opened in order to release the label E.
Fig. 21 to 31 show a second embodiment of a labelling machine 100 according to the invention with two illustrated grippers 1. The clamp 1 is identical to the clamp 1 described above.
In the following description, the same or corresponding parts as those described above are identified by the same reference numerals, and detailed description thereof is omitted.
The jigs 1 are connected to each other and fixed to the support 6 so as to support the jigs. The support 6 is connected with the moving device 4 to move the two clamps 1 simultaneously.
More precisely, the clamps 1 are in adjacent parallel positions.
Referring to fig. 21 to 24, the moving device 4 moves the support 6 in such a manner that the first gripper 1 moves closer to the storage device 2 so as to pick up the first label.
Next, as shown in fig. 25 to 27, the moving device 4 moves the support 6 in such a manner as to move the second gripper 1 closer to the storage device 2 so as to pick up the second label.
Referring to fig. 28-31, the moving device 4 moves the support 6 until the label is partially disposed under an angle formed by the upper edge of the pocket and the side edge of the bag or patch. The holder 1 supports the label until the pocket or patch is positioned by the folder 200 on the piece of fabric to be sewn.
It must be noted that the distance between the two clamps 1 coincides with the distance between the side edges of the folded pocket.
Although not shown in the drawings, the storage means 2 may comprise a roller on which the roll of labels is wound. A breaking line, for example included in a precut line, is provided between two successive labels E. When the gripper 1 pulls the label E, the breaking line breaks, separating the label E from the other labels. Alternatively, the labelling machine 100 may comprise a blade which separates the label E from the other labels E when coming out of the storage means.
Finally, it must be noted that the label may be part of a textile or non-textile material with stiffening or stabilizing properties, in particular for sewing pockets, patches or elastic fabrics, which may be damaged if washed or otherwise handled.
In view of the above, the hardened or stabilized labels can be continuously removed after the treatment, since they have a technical function rather than an aesthetic function, intended not to damage the fabric piece or the seams fixing the patch or pocket to the garment.
