Description

Kitchen appliance with cooking area and cooking fume extraction device
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a kitchen appliance having a cooking area and a fume extraction device. The kitchen appliance comprises in particular a cooking zone and at least one cooking fume extraction device which is at least partially introduced into the cooking zone.
Background
It is known that, in kitchens, instead of a hood installed above the cooking area, for example at the room wall or roof, so-called slot ventilation (Muldenl fur) is used in order to suck away the fumes and vapors generated during cooking. In this case, the fume extraction hood can be integrated in the cooking zone. One such integrated hood is described in DE 102010042436 a 1. In this case, a display element is provided in the cooking zone in the front region of the cooking zone plate, by means of which display element the parameter settings of the cooking hood can be displayed.
A disadvantage of such a cooking range with an integrated cooking hood is that the relevant connection between the reading for the cooking fume extraction device in the cooking range panel and the cooking hood must be displayed by symbols or text and is therefore not intuitive for the user.
Disclosure of Invention
The object of the present invention is therefore to create a solution by means of which information about a fume extraction device can be provided to the user in a simple manner in the cooking area of an integrated fume extraction device.
The invention is based on the recognition that this task can be solved by: a display device is created which is at least partially arranged in the area of the cooking fume extraction device.
The invention is thus solved by a kitchen appliance comprising a cooking area and a fume extraction device introduced at least partially into said cooking area. Said kitchen appliance being characterized in that it comprises at least one display device for said cooking fume extraction device, said display device having at least one lighting device and an output face for outputting light of the lighting device; and at least the output face is arranged in the area of the cooking fume extraction device.
According to the invention, a combined appliance, called a kitchen appliance, comprises a cooking zone and at least one fume extraction device. According to one embodiment, the kitchen appliance comprises an operating area, by means of which both the cooking area and the cooking fume extraction device can be operated. Furthermore, the cooking area and the cooking fume extraction device can preferably also have a common power supply connection.
The cooking zone preferably has a cover plate and at least one heating module, which is arranged below the cover plate. Furthermore, the cooking zone can also have a cooking zone housing, which is likewise arranged below the cover plate and at or in which the electrical or electronic components of the heating module are arranged.
The cover plate can be made of glass ceramic, for example. The heating module of the cooking zone can constitute an electrically heatable module or an inductive module. According to the invention, the cooking zones can constitute a continuous cooking area. However, it is also possible to form at least two, preferably at least four, cooking zones in the cooking zone.
The cooking fume extractor is at least partially introduced into the cooking zone. For this purpose, openings are provided in the cooking zone. The opening can be introduced into the cover of the cooking zone and, if appropriate, also into the cooking zone housing, in particular into the bottom of the cooking zone housing.
The cooking fume extraction device preferably has a housing in which the filter element can be accommodated and which serves for air guidance of the air to be sucked. Furthermore, the cooking fume extraction apparatus preferably further comprises a blower. The blower can be arranged in the cooking zone or below the cooking zone. At least one air suction opening is arranged at the oil fume extraction equipment, and oil fume and steam can be sucked into the oil fume extraction equipment through the air suction opening. According to one embodiment, the suction opening is located in the upper side of the cooking fume extraction device. The upper side of the cooking fume extraction device can be formed by a frame, which can be referred to as a grid (gilter). At least one suction opening is provided in the frame, and the frame covers the housing upward. The part of the cooking fume extraction device which can be introduced into the cooking zone according to the invention can in particular be the housing of the cooking fume extraction device or a part of the housing of the cooking fume extraction device.
Characterized in that it comprises at least one display device for the fume extraction device. According to the invention, a display device is described by means of which at least one state of the cooking fume extraction device can be displayed for the user. The display device has at least one illumination device and an output face for outputting light of the illumination device. Lighting devices describe devices that include at least one light source.
The output face describes the face through which light from the illumination device can be emitted into the surroundings. The output face can be spaced apart from the illumination device and in particular from the at least one light source. However, it is also possible that the output surface is a surface of the lighting device, in particular of the at least one light source, and is thus integrated in the lighting device.
According to the invention, at least the outlet face is arranged in the region of the cooking fume extraction device. In this case, the arrangement in the region of the cooking fume extraction device describes an outlet face which is either formed by part of the cooking fume extraction device, is mounted on the cooking fume extraction device or is located in the vicinity of the cooking fume extraction device in the cooking region.
According to the invention, a series of advantages can be achieved by using a display device, in which at least the output face is arranged in the region of the cooking fume extraction device. On the one hand, this arrangement of the output face through which light is output simplifies the association between the reading and the cooking fume extraction device by the user, thereby simplifying the use of the kitchen appliance. On the other hand, the at least one outlet face can be formed by a part of the cooking device itself and/or a part of the cooking zone by being arranged in the region of the cooking device, so that the number of parts can be minimized. Finally, the output face can have a large size, enabling the reading to be easily identified to the user.
According to an embodiment, the display device is a position display device for displaying the position of the cooking fume extraction device. In this case, it is advantageous if the at least one outlet face comprises at least a part of at least one edge of the cooking fume extraction device, and in particular of a housing or frame of the cooking fume extraction device. The position of the cooking fume extraction device in the cooking area is displayed by means of the display device, whereby it can be reliably prevented that the user inadvertently places, for example, a pot or a pan on the cooking fume extraction device, in particular on the frame.
Additionally or alternatively, the display device can be an operating state display device for displaying at least one operating state of the cooking fume extraction device. By means of the display device it can for example be shown that the cooking fume extraction device is activated. Additionally or alternatively, the display device can display the ventilation level of the cooking fume extraction device, in which the cooking fume extraction device is operated.
According to one embodiment, the output surface is a surface of the lighting device, a section of the cooking fume extraction device, in particular a surface of a housing of the cooking fume extraction device, or a section of the cooking zone.
The surface of the lighting device is particularly described as the surface of a light source. In addition, a protective layer, for example in the form of a disk or a film, can also be provided at this surface if appropriate. This embodiment, in which the surface of the illumination device constitutes the output face, has the following advantages: the lighting device can be applied, for example, on the upper side or on the lateral edges of the cooking region or of the cooking appliance, and the light output by the lighting device can therefore be reliably recognized by the user.
The section of the cooking fume extraction device that can be used as an output face describes in particular the section of the cooking fume extraction device that is located on or in the upper side of the cooking zone. The section can thus be, for example, the outer edge of a flange of the housing, by means of which the housing is placed on the upper side of the cooking zone and in particular of the cover plate. The housing is preferably covered upwards by a frame with suction openings. In particular, the frame covers the flange of the housing upwards. By the way the edge of the flange serves as an output face, this output face is at least upwardly protected from dirt and mechanical damage. By the section of the cooking fume extraction device and in particular the surface of the housing being used as an output face (said surface being part of the outside of the cooking fume extraction device), the structure of the kitchen appliance is simplified. In particular, it is not necessary to provide a separate output element with an output face, so that a connection location between the output element and the cooking fume extraction device is also not necessary. Cleaning is simplified in the embodiment described, in which a section of the surface of the housing of the cooking fume extraction device forms the outlet element, since dirt can collect at the connection point.
Additionally or alternatively, the output face can be a section of the cook zone. In this embodiment, in particular, a part of the cover plate of the cooking zone, which is located in the vicinity of the opening in which the cooking fume extraction device is at least partially accommodated, is used as an output face. By this embodiment the structure of the kitchen appliance can be simplified, since the section of the cooking zone that serves as the output surface is not a movable part, so that the conduction of light to this output element can be reliably produced.
According to one embodiment, an opening for accommodating at least a part of the cooking appliance is provided in the cooking zone, and the outlet face is located in the region of the opening. In particular, the outlet face can be positioned in the cooking hood or in the cooking region, in particular in the cover plate, offset outwardly with respect to the opening.
At least one of the lighting devices of the display device is arranged at the kitchen appliance such that light emitted by the lighting device reaches the output face and is output through this/these output face.
According to a preferred embodiment, the light is output from the output surface upwards or sideways.
The lighting device can be arranged at different positions of the kitchen appliance. The following relates basically to a lighting device. However, according to the invention, a plurality of lighting devices can also be provided in the kitchen appliance.
According to one specific embodiment, the lighting device is arranged on the cooking hob, in particular on the frame of the cooking hob or on the housing of the cooking hob, or on the cooking zone, in particular on the cover of the cooking zone or on the cooking zone housing of the cooking zone.
In the described embodiment, in which at least one of the lighting devices is arranged at the frame of the cooking fume extraction device, the lighting device can be fastened, for example, at the upper side, lower side or edge of the frame. The lighting device can in this case constitute a strip of, for example, LEDs. When the lighting devices are mounted on the upper side or the lower side, these are preferably also mounted in the edge region of the frame. The lighting device can in this case extend over the entire circumferential side of the frame or can be eliminated (abbringen), for example, only at the longitudinal edges of the frame.
Arranged at the cooking zone what is described in this case is a position of the lighting devices in which they are arranged at the cover plate of the cooking zone or at the housing of the cooking zone. The lighting device can rest on the cover plate of the cooking zone, for example, below the cover plate or on the cover plate. In the latter case, the lighting device is preferably at least partially covered upwards by the frame of the cooking fume extraction. In this embodiment, the lighting device is therefore arranged between the frame of the cooking fume extraction device and the cover plate of the cooking zone. When arranged at the cooking zone housing, the lighting device can be fastened at this cooking zone housing, for example, on or under the bottom of the cooking zone housing.
According to one embodiment, the display device comprises an optical waveguide, which is preferably part of the cooking fume extraction device, in particular an upper part of a housing of the cooking fume extraction device. Here, the output face is an end of the light guiding portion of the fume extraction device. This embodiment has the following advantages: the lighting device does not have to be arranged directly at or in the vicinity of the output face, but can be accommodated in the kitchen appliance spaced apart from this output face. The lighting device can thus be spaced apart from the region of the kitchen appliance in which high temperatures occur. Such a high temperature region can be expected, for example, in the vicinity of a heating module of the cooking zone. By means of the use of light conductors, the light output by the lighting device is conveyed to the output surface, which can then be located at the cooking fume extraction device or in the region of the cooking fume extraction device and, if appropriate, also in the vicinity of the heating module. If, for example, the housing of the cooking fume extraction device is used as a light guide, the light of the lighting device is coupled into this housing at the location of the housing and is, for example, transported to the edge of the upper flange.
The lighting device preferably has at least one light-emitting diode (LED) as light source. Light sources of this type are advantageous because they require a small installation space on the one hand and can also emit light of different colors on the other hand.
Preferably, said outlet face extends over at least a portion of an edge of the cooking fume extraction device. In particular, the output face can be arranged, for example, at an outer edge of the frame or of the housing. Since the cooking fume extraction device for performing the function of extracting air has a large size, in this arrangement of the output face, information can be output with a large plane. In particular, the output surface and, if appropriate, the illumination device can each form a strip. Over the length of the strip, it is possible to output, for example, light of different colors. Thereby, the ventilation level in which the cooking fume extraction device is operated can be displayed, for example, by illuminating a portion of the length of the bar in one color. The rest of the strip can either be unlit, that is to say light cannot be output, or can be illuminated in another color.
According to a preferred embodiment, the display device is connected to a control unit of the cooking fume extraction device. Thereby, different operating states of the oil pumping device can be displayed at the display device. The lighting device is therefore preferably operated as a function of the operating state of the cooking fume extraction device.
According to the invention, the air inlet of the cooking fume extraction device is preferably located in said cooking zone. In particular, the suction openings are located, for example, in the plane of the upper side of the cover plate of the cooking zone or are slightly offset upward or downward with respect to this plane. The cooking fume extraction apparatus can be rigidly arranged in the cooking zone. However, it is also within the framework of the invention that the cooking fume extraction device can be moved relative to the cooking region, in particular can be moved out upward.

Detailed Description
In fig. 1 a schematic perspective view of an embodiment of a kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention is shown. The kitchen appliance 1 has a cooking area 10 and a cooking fume extraction device 11. The cooking fume extractor 11 is arranged centrally in the cooking zone 10 and is at least partially accommodated in this cooking zone. The cook zone 10 has a cover plate 100 and a cook zone housing 103 located below the cover plate. The cooking fume extraction apparatus 11 comprises a housing 112, only a lower portion of which can be seen in fig. 1, and a frame 110. The frame 110 constitutes an upper side of the hood device 11. A suction opening 111, also referred to as an intake opening, is introduced into the frame 110. The air suction opening 111 is embodied as a longitudinal slot which extends in the depth direction of the cooking hood 11 and thus of the kitchen appliance 1. The pumping ports 111 extend along the side edges of the frame 110. Other parts of the housing 112 can be schematically identified through the suction opening 111. The cooking fume extraction device 11 furthermore comprises at least one blower (not shown), which can be accommodated in the cooking zone housing 103 or arranged below the cooking zone housing 103.
In fig. 2 a schematic cross-sectional view of a part of an embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 according to the invention with a first embodiment of the display device 12 is shown. The display device 12 comprises an illumination device 120 having at least one light source 121. The lighting device 120 also preferably has electrical connections (not shown), by means of which the light source 121 can be actuated. In fig. 2, a part of the edge of the cooking fume extraction device 11 is shown.
At the underside of the cover plate 100 a heating module 102 is arranged. Furthermore, an opening 101 is introduced into the cover 100 of the cooking zone 10, into which opening the housing 112 of the cooking fume extraction device 11 is partially received. The housing 112 has an outwardly directed flange 113 at its upper end. The flange 113 is placed on the upper side of the cover plate 100. The other part of the housing 112 extends into the cooking zone 10 and in the embodiment shown protrudes from the underside of the cooking zone housing 103.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 2, the lighting device 120 is arranged on the bottom of the cooking zone housing 103. In particular, the light sources 121 of the lighting device 120 are mounted on the bottom of the cooking zone housing 103 in such a way that they emit a light beam L directed upwards in said cooking zone housing 103. The position of the lighting device 120 is selected such that the light source 121 is located outside the outer edge of the frame 110 of the cooking fume remover 11 when the kitchen appliance 1 is vertically viewed from above. The light L emitted by the light source 121 is thus directed from below towards the cover plate 100 and penetrates this cover plate. Thereby, a visible light beam S is emitted from the cover plate 100 adjacent to the outer edge of the frame 110 of the cooking fume remover 11. Preferably, the light beam S extends at least over a portion of the length of the frame 110.
In the embodiment shown in fig. 2, a region of the cover plate 100, which is adjacent to the outer edge of the frame 110 of the cooking hood 11 outwards, thus serves as an output element 122 of the display device 12.
In the embodiment according to fig. 3, the lighting device 120 is arranged at the inner circumference of the opening 101 in the cover plate 100. The light sources 121 are oriented such that they emit light L upwards. In the illustrated embodiment, the light source 121 rests against the underside of the flange 113 of the housing 112 of the cooking hood 11. The light L can penetrate this flange 113 either due to the material of the housing 112. Within the framework of the invention, however, a slot is introduced into the housing 112, in particular into the flange 113, through which the light L can penetrate. In the frame 110 placed on the housing 112, a slot is preferably likewise introduced, by means of which the light L emitted by the light source 121 can be output upwards as visible light S.
In the embodiment according to fig. 4, the light source 121 of the lighting device 120 is integrated into the housing 112, in particular into the flange 113. The light sources 121 are thus located between the upper side of the cover plate 100 of the cooking zone 10 and the lower side of the frame 110. The light sources 121 are oriented in such a way that they emit light L/S horizontally. In particular, said light sources 121 are oriented in such a way that they emit light L/S outwards away from the housing 112 of the cooking fume extraction device 11.
In the embodiment according to fig. 5, the lighting device 120 is arranged below the cooking zone housing 103, in particular at the lower side of the bottom of the cooking zone housing 103. Here, the light sources 121 are oriented such that they emit light L in a direction towards the housing 112 of the cooking fume extraction device 11. When the material of the housing 112 is selected appropriately, the light L enters the wall of the housing 112 and this wall serves as a light guide. In the wall of the housing 112, the light is guided upward toward the flange 113 and emitted outward as visible light S through the outer edge of the flange 113.
Fig. 6 shows a schematic perspective top view of an embodiment of the kitchen appliance 1 in the region of the cooking hood 11. In this view, the frame 110 of the cooking fume extraction device 11 can be seen, said frame having the suction opening 111 introduced therein. The housing 112 of the hood device 11 is located below the frame 110. A filter element 13 is arranged in the housing 112.
In the embodiment shown, the light sources 121 of the illumination device 120 of the display device 12 are applied on the upper side of the frame 110. In fig. 6, the display device 12 is activated. As exemplarily shown, a strip can be arranged at any one of the longitudinal edges of the frame 110. If the cooking fume extraction device 11 is switched on, for example, the entire length of the bar can be illuminated in a first color by activating the light source 121 arranged therein. Furthermore, it is also possible to illuminate, for example by means of another color, a certain section of the bar, which corresponds to the power class of the cooking fume extraction device 11 in which this cooking fume extraction device is operated.
In fig. 7, a further embodiment is shown, wherein in this embodiment the illumination device 120 of the display device 12 is provided only at the front edge of the frame 110. In this embodiment, the activated and set power level readings of the cooking fume extraction device 11 are also shown by way of example.
With the invention, a kitchen appliance is thus created in which the illumination device, in particular the illumination device of the display device, can be arranged at different positions. The lighting device can be arranged below a cover plate of the cooking zone, which can be made of, for example, celand (Ceran) glass. The lighting device can be constituted by one or more LED strips. The lighting device can be arranged, for example, around the cooking fume extraction device at a side of the cooking fume extraction device or at a front side of the cooking fume extraction device.
Alternatively or additionally, the lighting device as at least one transparent LED strip at a frame of the cooking fume extraction device, which can also be referred to as a blower frame, in particular at an upper side of the blower frame, can be arranged around the blower frame at a side or front side of the blower frame.
Further alternatively or additionally, the lighting device can be arranged as at least one integrated LED strip at the underside of the blower frame in contact with the cover plate. In such an embodiment, the lighting device can also be arranged around the blower frame at the side of the blower frame or at the front side of the blower frame.
Furthermore, a plastic component, for example a part of the housing of the cooking fume extraction device or a glass component, can be arranged between the blower frame and the cover plate, in particular the glass-ceramic region. The plastic or glass components can also be circumferential, arranged at one or more sides or at the front side of the blower frame. In this embodiment, functional parts, for example the housing of the cooking fume extraction device, can be used as light guides, which allows a greater spacing between the LEDs and the high-temperature region, which is produced by the heating module of the cooking zone and/or by the hot cooking vessel (Gargef ä β e) on the cooking zone.
The lighting device is capable of performing the following functions: when the blower is activated on a small level, all LED segments can be switched on. The brightness at the LED segment can be increased corresponding to the selected power level. Thereby, the lighting device functions as a user interface.
With the invention it becomes possible to illuminate all the important features of a cooking zone with a cooking fume extraction device and furthermore create a user interface, illuminating the heating zone and illuminating the cooking fume extraction device, wherein by means of the illumination device it is possible to display the position, the activation and the power level.
