In order to remove lime impurities or scale particles from the evaporation chamber, patent publication CN1084593a discloses that a scale removing hole is made in the evaporation chamber to the rear of the iron and that this hole is plugged with a removable closure. Therefore, in the assembled locking state, the tail cover can be pushed forward, and the tail cover can be reset backward under the action of the elasticity of the locking spring.
In order to ensure that the impurity collecting cartridge is mounted in place, the outer wall of the fixing seat 45 is provided with a positioning flange 48, the inner end of the circular hole 11 is provided with a positioning wall 17, and the positioning flange 48 is contacted with the positioning wall 17 by the elastic force of a locking spring when the locking piece is positioned in the locking groove to lock the impurity collecting cartridge (see fig. 4). Therefore, the locking spring can lock the impurity collecting box and simultaneously can keep the matching among parts of the impurity collecting box and the impurity collecting box, the rear cover and the guide pipe.
The scale collecting box 41 is made of elastic material and is provided with an outward flange 49, the rear end of the scale collecting box 41 is positioned in the fixed seat 45, and the outward flange 49 is clamped with the front end of the fixed seat 45 through the matching of the annular groove and the annular flange.
The front end portion of the scale collection box 41 is formed with a seal ring 410 (see fig. 3) contacting the inner wall of the guide pipe.
The tail cap 42 is provided with a grip 411 (see fig. 1).
When the impurity collecting box 04 is to be put into the electric iron, the locking piece 44 is placed into the round hole 11 against the channel 13 until the positioning flange 48 contacts the positioning wall 17 and pushes the tail cover 42 further into the electric iron, the locking piece 44 is made to pass over the locking groove 12, then the tail cover 42 is rotated to make the locking piece 44 deviate from the channel 13 and correspond to the locking groove 12, the tail cover 42 is released, the tail cover 42 is moved backwards under the action of the locking spring 43 until the locking piece 44 is located in the locking groove 12, i.e. the impurity collecting box 04 is put into the electric iron and locked (see fig. 4-5).
When the impurity collecting box is to be taken out from the electric iron, the tail cover 42 is pushed into the iron to move the tail cover into the iron, the locking piece 44 is separated from the locking groove 12, then the tail cover 42 is rotated reversely to deviate the locking piece from the locking groove 12 and the corresponding channel 13 (see fig. 6), and then the whole impurity collecting box can be taken out by pinching the pinching part 411 of the tail cover 42.
