Abstract
本发明涉及含有非回收玻璃纤维填充聚丙烯的汽车用塑料零件。该零件含有15~25%的回收玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯。
Description
本发明涉及含有玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯的汽车用塑料零件。
众所周知聚丙烯经常要涉及到汽车结构产品组合物。当前是在聚丙烯中添加一定量的玻璃纤维,目的是改善产品的机械性能,特别是增大强度和刚度。
人们还知道,这个产业需要且未来越来越需要满足法律和生态的要求,要逐渐增加使用回收的材料。
为此要求产业界,特别是要求汽车行业回收他们使用的玻璃纤维,如此就产生了大量的回收玻璃纤维。
比如,从经济和生态的观点出发,寻找这些回收玻璃纤维的出路或长期的用途是具有特别意义的。
但是,这样的回收玻璃纤维的用途是比较有限的,因为不能将其简单地去替代新的玻璃纤维。实际上,它们并不具有完全相当的机械性能。这是由于回收的玻璃纤维比新玻璃纤维要短得多,而其大部分机械性能恰好与其长度有关,玻璃纤维越长,添加此玻璃纤维的材料性能就越好。
因此,在含有玻璃纤维填充聚丙烯的汽车结构零件中,主要是使用原聚丙烯,即没有玻璃纤维的聚丙烯和填充有新玻璃纤维的聚丙烯。
本发明旨在满足法律、经济和生态的关注,提供一种含有回收玻璃纤维的汽车用塑料零件,而不会明显降低其机械性能。
为此,本发明涉及含有非回收玻璃纤维填充聚丙烯的汽车用塑料零件,其特征在于,它含有15~25%的回收玻璃纤维填充聚丙烯。
作为本发明原创的本发明人意外地注意到,在其中如此比例的新玻璃纤维填充聚丙烯被回收玻璃纤维填充聚丙烯代替的塑料零件,与传统组合物的零件相比,该零件的机械性能基本上没有变化。
另外,本发明人还发现,从尺度的观点出发,制造按照本发明的零件特别容易。实际上众所周知,汽车零件的尺寸都比较大,当其受冷时由于塑料收缩而具有容易翘曲的倾向。显然使用回收玻璃纤维,由于塑料的收缩变小,也就缩小了此翘曲的倾向,使得零件的尺寸更容易保持。
任选地,本发明的回收玻璃纤维呈被微粉化的形式,即研磨成白色细粉末的状态。
这个特征是特别有意义的,因为从工业方法的观点出发,处理回收的玻璃纤维是困难的。实际上,由于回收玻璃纤维的棉花状结构和挥发性,它们是很难处理的,因此需要的操作条件和对操作人员健康保护的安全措施要比新玻璃纤维复杂得多。处于微粉化状态的回收玻璃纤维粉末就更容易处置。
尽管如此,对于迄今为止一直寻求使用尽可能长纤维的本领域技术人员来说,这样的利用方法是特别意外的。矛盾的是,使用微粉化的玻璃纤维,即比传统的回收玻璃纤维还要短得多的玻璃纤维,比新玻璃纤维更能够提供满意的结果,因为能够保持零件希望的机械性能。
可用来解释此矛盾现象的一个假说是,在材料中不是所有的纤维都起着相同的作用:某些纤维(比如其中的15~25%)可能只有局部的影响,因此用更短的玻璃纤维替代它对材料整体的刚度和强度不会改变。
使用微粉化形式的回收玻璃纤维使如上所述尺度上的优点更加突出。实际上,塑料的收缩变得更小。
按照本发明的塑料零件还可以具有如下一个或几个特征:
—在玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯中回收的玻璃纤维的含量为25~40%;
—被回收玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯是回收的聚丙烯;
—按照本发明的零件含有20~50%的填充有非回收玻璃纤维的聚丙烯;
—填充有非回收玻璃纤维的聚丙烯含有20~70%的非回收玻璃纤维;
—按照本发明的零件还含有未经加工的聚丙烯,即不含玻璃纤维的聚丙烯;
—按照本发明的零件含有20~50%的未经加工聚丙烯;
—按照本发明的零件是汽车的结构零件。
作为本发明的非限定性实施例,可用含有如下成分的混合物制造汽车的结构零件,比如保险杠、纵梁或技术的前围:
—大约20%的用微粉化回收玻璃纤维填充至大约30%的回收聚丙烯;
—大约40%的用新玻璃纤维填充至大约60%的新聚丙烯;
—大约40%的未经加工回收聚丙烯。
比如可以使用M.C.R.公司生产的商品回收玻璃纤维粉末,其产品号为P4300-02。
上述混合物可用于在现有技术中制造由下面成分构成的零件:
—用新玻璃纤维填充至大约30%的新的或回收的聚丙烯;或者
—未经加工的聚丙烯和用新玻璃纤维填充至大约60%的聚丙烯以基本上等比例的混合物,该未经加工聚丙烯有利地是回收的。
如此进行的替代具有的优点是使这样的产品更加符合法规,因为提高了汽车使用再生产品的总含量。出于同样的原因,就更加具有经济意义,再生产品的成本要低于新产品的成本。
本发明使产生大量回收玻璃纤维而又因为性能不佳又难以处置因而很少有用途的产业找到了回收玻璃纤维的更有意义的用途。
最后,本发明具有明显的生态意义。
应该注意到,本发明并不限于如上所述的实施模式。
Claims (9)
1.含有由新玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯的汽车用塑料零件,其特征在于,该零件还含有15~25%的回收玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯。
2.按照权利要求1的塑料零件,其中在玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯中回收玻璃纤维的含量为25~40%。
3.按照权利要求1或2的塑料零件,其中回收玻璃纤维呈微粉化的形式。
4.按照权利要求1~3中任何一项的塑料零件,其中回收玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯是回收的聚丙烯。
5.按照权利要求1~4中任何一项的塑料零件,该零件含有20~50%的非回收玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯。
6.按照权利要求1~5中任何一项的塑料零件,其中新玻璃纤维填充的聚丙烯含有20~70%的新玻璃纤维。
7.按照权利要求1~6中任何一项的塑料零件,该零件还包括未经加工的回收聚丙烯,即不含玻璃纤维的回收聚丙烯。
8.按照权利要求7的塑料零件,该零件包括20~50%的未经加工回收聚丙烯。
9.汽车的结构零件,其特征在于,该零件包括按照权利要求1~8中任何一项的塑料零件。
