Abstract
Un proceso para la limpieza de una corriente de gas pobre contaminada con compuestos orgánicos volátiles (VOCs) y/o 5 compuestos que contienen azufre que comprende los pasos de agregar ozono a la corriente de gas pobre contaminada, someter la corriente de gas pobre que contiene ozono a la irradiación con luz ultravioleta, transformando en consecuencia los VOCs a partículas, mantener la corriente de gas irradiada en una zona de 10 permanencia durante un tiempo suficiente para permitir el crecimiento de partículas de aerosol, y pasar la corriente de gas a través de un filtro de bolsa catalítico a una temperatura debajo de la temperatura ambiente para retirar las partículas formadas y eliminar cualquier ozono restante. El filtro de bolsa 15 ha sido hecho catalítico por medio de la impregnación con uno o más óxidos de metal, en los cuales los metales se seleccionan de V, W, Pd y Pt, soportados sobre TiO2
