Antrieb an Webstühlen.

Drive on looms. The subject of the invention is a drive on \ Vebstühlen, in which, instead of the usual means, two toothed elliptical wheels are seen, which are each rotatable about an axis passing through one of their focal points and one of which is attached to a driven shaft, the other on the other hand drives the drawer and the shedding device at a point outside its axis of rotation, the whole thing in such a way that
that when the chair is in operation, the period for opening the compartment and passage through the ship is lengthened and, as a result, the number of tours of the chair can be increased without endangering the latter.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is an overall view of the same, for example on a ribbon loom; Fig. 2 shows the EllipsarirUider gear on a larger scale.
a, b are two toothed elliptical gears, each of which can be rotated about an axis passing through one of its focal points. The shape and mounting of these wheels can best be seen in FIG. The elliptical wheel a is fastened in the manner shown in FIG. 1 on the driven shaft c, which is driven by means of a belt drive.
The elliptical wheel b sits on an intermediate shaft d and is conveniently adjustable at a point e lying outside its axis of rotation, connected to a connecting rod f which is articulated to an arm of the drawer g, while a connecting rod connected to the connecting rod f h drives the shedding dobby (not shown).
The arrangement of the elliptical gears a, b is such that with one rotation of the shaft c during part of the same as a result of the translation from the small to the large, the period for the opening of the compartment and the shuttle passage is extended, since, on the other hand, during the other part of the revolution, as a result of the translation from large to small, the period for striking the inserted shot is shortened.
