The invention relates to a device for generating electrical energy from water wave energy using in particular the water wave energy of lakes or reservoirs, as well as in the open sea or on rivers.
Water waves contain both kinetic energy of wave motion and potential energy from pressure differentials between wave crest and trough, and various attempts have already been made to use this energy to generate electrical energy, e.g. by floating systems by relative movement between solids or devices according to the principle of an oscillating water column (generation of an air accumulation, as described, for example, in DE-C-4 331 988 or DE-C-4 345 270).
In DE-C-4 324 1 10 an underwater turbine for coastal areas is proposed, which is arranged under a horizontally arranged plate in a depth of about 1/3 of the influenced by the waves water depth. The near-surface wave energy is diverted under the plate in the pulsating flow.
In a device according to DEOS 2 756 434 a lever device for converting the up and down movement of floating elements is provided in a driving force, wherein floating elements and lever means are connected such that the wave energy is converted into mechanical energy of the lever device. For this purpose, a plurality of floating elements according to a predetermined pattern in the sea water is arranged. The distances of the floating elements from each other are chosen so that a pressure wave in the water is deflected obliquely under impact of floating elements and at least partially coincides with another pressure wave, and floating elements are deflected to use the residual energy of the shaft. The movement of the floating elements is converted into a driving force for a machine. A similar device is disclosed in US-A-4 073 142.
Furthermore, it is also known to use the up and down movement of tethered buoys (see, for example, US-A-4 599 858). The devices mentioned are usually complex in construction and maintenance.
The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a device for generating electrical energy from water wave energy, which avoids the disadvantages of the aforementioned prior art and which is suitable even small undulations, as they occur in particular on lakes or reservoirs, effectively to use for energy.
The object is solved with the features of claim 1. A buoyant body is moored by means of ropes and connected directly to vertically movable weights, which track a caused by the swell up and down movement of the body and convert by means of a roller guide in a constant rotational movement. The rotor of a generator is rotated in the same direction and thereby generates electrical energy, which is subsequently converted.
Preferred embodiments are disclosed in the dependent claims. So the body is in addition to special bodies preferably a ship or boat of any size, with even small waves are available, the up and down movements (tilting and / or tilting movements) of at least 5-10 cm of the ship or boat generate. Preferably, the ship or boat is moored in the harbor or beach area of a lake to a mast, which allows in conjunction with cables multiplication of the ship's movement. The ship is lifted longitudinally and / or transversely by the waves and sinks again due to gravity. About the cable mechanisms, a relative movement is generated, which drives the generator. Possibly. the generator can also be arranged on the ship itself.
In the case of larger water depths, a buoy to be anchored on the ground may also be the basis for the roller guidance, such an arrangement then also being applicable in emergency situations as an emergency power generator.
The momentum generated by wave motion is used for longer movement, especially with larger moving masses.
Thus, the required mooring and wave-induced movement of ships or boats is used to generate energy without having to build separate facilities. However, embodiments with specially designed bodies are also possible, e.g. Bodies that are moved up and down against each other and / or on a mast. The energy generated preferably serves the self-supply of a ship and / or port facilities.
The invention will be described in more detail in an embodiment with reference to a drawing. The drawing shows in a figure a schematic representation of the device for generating electrical energy from water wave energy.
A lying in the harbor area of a lake 2 ship 1 is by means of ropes 5, 5 <'> to a mast 4, which is anchored in the lake bottom 4, moored. A possible, additional Sicherheitsvertäuung is possible.
The rope 5 is guided from the point of attachment to the deck of the ship 1 via a generator roller 7 at the top of the mast 4 and further to a counterweight 6. A second cable 5 '' is guided from an attachment point below the deck to an underlying and located on the mast deflection roller 8 to another generator roller 9 at the mast top and on to a second counterweight 10. The generator rollers 7, 9 are arranged on the rotor shafts of not explicitly shown generators.
Wei- If the ship 1 is lifted by the waves (5-10 cm are already sufficient), the counterweight 6 drops, and due to the rope friction on the generator roller 7, the rotor shaft of a generator is rotated. At the same time the counterweight 10 is lifted by the train of the rope 5 <'> and thus drives the other generator roller 9. If the ship 1 subsequently sinks, reverse movements of the counterweights 6, 10 and the generator rollers 7, 9 are generated. WEI
