State of the art
The present invention relates to a device for vibration damping of a handle of a machine tool, wherein the handle is connected via at least one spring to the housing of the machine tool.
Especially in machine tools with a beating drive, for example, rotary hammers., Chisel hammers and the like, quite strong vibrations in the machine, which are transmitted to the handle of the machine and are not only unpleasant for the operator, but also can be harmful to health ,
Passive and actively acting devices are already known from the prior art with which the handle of a machine tool can be more or less decoupled from vibrations of the machine.
In passive-acting devices, as is apparent, for example from DE 4 124 574 A1, between the handle and the housing of the machine tool individual springs or spring systems used. Good decoupling requires the softest possible spring. A variation of the force exerted by an operator on the handle pressure force thus leads to particularly large differences in the distance between the handle and the housing of the machine tool. Therefore, it often comes to impacts of the handle on a stop on the machine housing.
In such situations, the decoupling between the handle and the machine housing is completely eliminated.
A very extensive independence of the vibration decoupling from the force applied to the handle operating force can be achieved by active devices. Such an active device for vibration decoupling of the handle of a machine tool is described for example in EP 0 206 981 A2. The resulting from this document active device for vibration decoupling consists of a handle connecting to the housing of the machine tool actuator in the form of an electromagnet, the force of which is controllable in dependence on the position of the handle relative to the housing of the machine tool.
In this case, a control loop is provided, which is controlled for example via a signal of a displacement measuring system of the handle relative to the housing. So can be adjusted between the handle and the housing with low contact force a large distance and a high contact pressure a small distance.
An active decoupling between the handle and the housing of a machine tool is also apparent from WO 98/21 014. Here, the force exerted by an actuator in response to the acceleration of the device housing is controlled so that the handle does not move regardless of the vibrations of the machine housing.
In this case, a control loop is provided, which is controlled by an acceleration sensor in the handle, and the contact pressure of the operator on the handle is compensated by a strong spring.
The aforementioned devices in which the vibration decoupling is done by means of actuators require a relatively high electrical power for the electric drive of the actuators. In addition, such vibration damping devices are effective only in a very limited vibration frequency band due to a certain inertia of the actuators.
Also, these purely active, electrically operated vibration damping devices require a relatively high control circuit complexity.
Advantages of the invention
An inventive device for vibration damping of a handle of a machine tool according to the features of claim 1 is that the handle is connected via at least one spring to the housing of the machine tool and that an acting on the spring actuator is present, with the bias the spring is adjustable so that the distance between the handle and the housing of the machine tool, regardless of the force exerted on the handle operating force remains almost constant.
In contrast to known actuators that regulate the distance between the handle and the housing of the machine tool vibration damping,
is the inventively used actuator, which adjusts only the bias of a spring, realized with considerably less technical effort, and he also requires only a small electrical power for its operation. By adjusting the spring preload by means of an actuator, the distance between the handle and the machine tool with varying, exerted on the handle operating force can be kept substantially constant, whereby a very high vibration decoupling of the handle relative to the housing of the machine tool is achieved.
The control engineering effort of the inventive device is very low.
Advantageous embodiments and modifications of the invention will become apparent from the dependent claims.
In order to keep the distance between the handle and the housing of the machine tool, depending on the force exerted on the handle actuating force, almost constant, it is expedient to provide means which exerted by the actuator on the spring, the bias voltage adjusting force depending on the distance between the handle and the housing of the machine tool or in dependence on the ruling between the handle and the housing of the machine tool pressing force control or regulate.
An advantageous embodiment of the actuator is that it has a force acting on the spring plunger,
which is displaceable by means of an electromagnetic or hydraulic or pneumatic drive.
The actuator can be arranged either on or in the handle or on or in the housing of the machine tool.
drawing
On the basis of several embodiments shown in the drawings, the invention will be explained in more detail below. Show it:
<Tb> FIG. 1 <sep> is a schematic representation of a device which decouples the handle of a machine tool relative to the machine tool,
<Tb> FIG. 2 <sep> a device for vibration damping, whose actuator is arranged in the handle, wherein the actuator is driven by a displacement sensor signal,
<Tb> FIG. 3 <sep> a device for vibration damping, the actuator is arranged in the housing of the machine tool, wherein the actuator is driven by a displacement sensor signal and
<Tb> FIG. 4 <sep> a device for vibration damping, whose actuator is controlled by a force sensor signal.
Description of exemplary embodiments
Fig. 1 is a schematic diagram of a machine tool 1, for example a hammer drill or chisel hammer, etc., with a drive for the tool receiving housing 2 and a coupled to the housing 2 handle 3. During the operation, the housing is the second Under certain circumstances, put into very strong vibration, which are transmitted to the handle 3 without vibration-damping measures. The device shown in FIG. 1 is intended to effect a vibration decoupling as far as possible of the handle 3 from the housing 2 of the machine tool.
This vibration decoupling device has a spring arranged between the housing 2 and the handle 3 or a spring system 4 consisting of a plurality of springs. Furthermore, this device includes an actuator 5, with which the bias of the spring 4 is variably adjustable. The aim is to control the actuator 5 so that it adjusts the bias of the spring 4 so that the distance between the housing 2 of the machine tool and the handle 3, regardless of an exerted on the handle 3 actuating force 6 remains almost constant. In order to control the actuator 5 accordingly, a controller 7 is provided which derives a manipulated variable y for the actuator 5 from a control variable x delivered by a sensor 8 and a setpoint value xs preset in the controller 7.
The setpoint value xs is a distance to be maintained between the housing 2 of the machine tool and the handle 3.
The sensor 8 is either a displacement sensor which detects the actual distance x between the housing 2 and the handle 3. Also, the sensor 8 may be a pressure sensor with which the actuating force 6 can be measured, with which the handle 3 is moved in the direction of the housing 2.
From the deviation between the actual value x of the actuating force and the predetermined setpoint value xs, a manipulated variable y derived from the controller 7 for the actuator 5, so that this adjusts the bias of the spring 4 so that the distance between the housing 2 and the Handle 3 remains almost constant. To the controller 7 includes a low-pass filter 9 and a variable gain amplifier 10th
The low-pass filter 9 is tuned to a passband for the frequency of the varying actuation force. At a typical frequency of 50 Hz impact on a percussion drill or a hammer drill, the upper corner frequency of the low-pass filter should be about 15 Hz.
Especially the frequencies of the changing actuating force 6 are to be compensated by the actuator 4 adjusting the bias of the spring 5. The overlying vibration frequencies are largely absorbed by the spring 4.
2, 3 and 4, some concrete embodiments of the arrangement and design of the actuator 5 and embodiments of the sensor 8 will now be described.
In FIGS. 2 to 4, those elements of the vibration damping device already mentioned in connection with FIG. 1 are provided with the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1.
Fig. 2, as well as the later described Figs. 3 and 4, shows a detail of the housing 2 of a machine tool and the handle coupled thereto 3. The bias of the spring 4 adjusting actuator 5 is located in the handle 3. The actuator has a plunger 11 which is displaceable by means of an electromagnetic or hydraulic or pneumatic drive. The spring 4 is, for example, a helical spring which, on the one hand, is plugged onto a pin 12 arranged on the housing 2 and fixed therewith. On the other hand, the coil spring 4 is placed on the plunger 11 of the actuator 5 and is there against a stop 13.
By movement of the plunger 11 of the actuator 5, the coil spring 4 is compressed more or less strongly, whereby the bias changes. Instead of a coil spring 4 and a fixed to the housing 2 and the plunger 11 of the actuator 5 plate spring or leaf spring can be used. It is also possible, instead of just one spring, to provide a spring system consisting of several springs. Likewise, the handle 3 via a plurality of springs and a plurality of acting thereon actuators 5 are coupled to the housing 2 vibration damping.
Between the handle 3 and the housing 2, a displacement sensor 14 is inserted, which detects the distance between the handle 3 and the housing 2 as a controlled variable x.
The displacement sensor 14 may for example be based on the principle that a sensing finger 15 is displaced according to the distance between the handle 3 and the housing 2 and this displacement is measured, for example, inductively. For the measurement of the distance between the handle 3 and the housing 2 but also any other known type of displacement sensors can be used.
The embodiment shown in FIG. 3 differs from that of FIG. 2 in that the actuator 5 is arranged with the controller 7 connected thereto in the housing 2 and not in the handle 3 of the machine tool.
As already described above, instead of a displacement sensor 14 and a force sensor can be used which detects the pressing force between the handle 3 and the housing 2.
An embodiment of the force sensor may be, for example, that the stop 13 on the plunger 11 of the actuator 5 reacts to the pressure of the adjacent spring 4. For example, the stop 13 could be made of a material whose electrical resistance changes in response to a force acting on it. The pressure-dependent change in resistance of the stop 13 is detected as a controlled variable x and fed to the controller 7.
The actuator for adjusting the spring preload, for example, also consist of the motor present in the machine tool and a spindle driven by this, which acts on the spring. The spindle can be moved back and forth in the direction of the spring axis via the motor. For this purpose, a coupling can be provided, which converts the rotation of the motor shaft in a longitudinal movement of the spindle.
The clutch can be controlled to rotate the spindle in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction depending on the distance between the handle and the machine housing, depending on whether the spindle is to be moved forwards or backwards.
