The present invention relates to a lighter sheath comprising a frame with at least one fixed wall and a cover removably mounted on the wall.
Siding sleeves are used for many applications, but more particularly to contain cables of all kinds. These sheaths generally have a cover fixed by any suitable means, such as screws or hooks, etc., on the front face of the sheath. When it is desired to carry out interventions in the sheath, it is necessary to dismantle and reassemble this cover, which unnecessarily lengthens the duration of the intervention.
The object of the present invention is to remedy this drawback and to provide a lighter sheath which is quick to assemble and which facilitates repair and maintenance operations while being inexpensive in construction.
The sheath according to the invention is characterized for this purpose by the characteristics listed in claim 1.
This arrangement ensures rapid mounting of the cover on the wall of the duct without axis, without fixing, without screws and other components. In addition, at least three angular positions of the cover relative to the frame of the sheath are determined allowing easy work inside the sheath, the cost price of which is low due to its simple construction.
Advantageously, the fixed knuckle constitutes a ball joint having said cam profile and that the movable knuckle comprises a partially open casing, part of which acts as a cam follower intended to cooperate with the cam profile.
By these characteristics, a hinge of simple construction and safe operation is obtained.
According to a preferred embodiment, the fixed knuckle comprises a vertical branch integral with two lateral branches intended to cooperate with two lateral branches of said casing of the movable knuckle, the lateral branches of the fixed and movable knuckles being elastically urged against each other in the closed position, by the fact that the fixed lateral branch directed from the outside of the cover has a notch arranged so as to cooperate with the end of the corresponding movable lateral branch in the working opening position, the fixed lateral branch opposite retaining in this position by its end the corresponding L-shaped movable lateral branch,
and by the fact that the distance separating the ends of the branches of the movable knuckle is greater than the length and / or the width of the opposite fixed lateral branch so that the two knuckles can be separated in said third position.
This gives a particularly reliable hinge and a low cost price.
According to an advantageous variant, the inner face of the wall is provided with a series of fixing lugs allowing the detachable partition walls, support plates and fixing parts for electrical and electronic equipment to be mounted.
The sill liner can thus be adapted very quickly and easily to the specific needs of users and of the buildings and premises in which the electrical and electronic equipment must be installed. Subsequent changes can also be made very easily.
Other advantages emerge from the characteristics expressed in the dependent claims and from the description setting out the invention below in more detail with the aid of drawings which schematically represent, by way of example, an embodiment and variants.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of the embodiment of the lightening sheath.
Figs. 2, 3 and 4 illustrate the hinge of the light curtain in cross section in three positions of use.
Figs. 5 and 6 are cross sections through two variants.
The channel or the lightening sheath 10 illustrated in FIG. 1 is intended to receive electrical equipment and cables of high current, telephone, electronic and / or computer.
However, it can also constitute a sheath of sill for all other applications, such as hoses for the cooling water of air conditioning installations and other home automation and office automation installations.
It comprises a frame with a wall 11 forming its bottom and its rear part and a removable cover 12 covering the front part and articulated by a hinge 14 to the wall 11. The channel 10 is mounted on a base 15 comprising a plate 16 provided a rod 17 adjustable lock in a tube 18 by means of screws 19. The tube 18 is mounted on the ground 20 by means of a lag screw 21 resting on a washer 22 integral with the tube 18. A piece of 'bracket 24 whose shape is adapted to the wall 11 is fixed to the plate 16 by means of screws and is integral in its rear part with a V-shaped section 26 engaging in a housing 27 of triangular section. The wall 11 is held on the angle piece 24 by means of screws 28 engaged in threads of the profile 26.
The channel 10 is mounted at a decimetric distance from the wall 30 to form an air duct 31 which is delimited at its upper part by a grid 32 mounted by means of screws 33 on the upper part of the wall 11. When the cover 12 is closed, the grid 32 forms a single surface with the upper face 36 of the cover.
The lower edge of the cover 12 is provided with a hook 37 intended to cooperate with an elastic pawl 38 screwed onto the bottom of the channel 10. A screw 39 and a tightening tongue 40 make it possible to block the hook 37 and the pawl 38 in position engaged, when it is desired to make the interior of the channel 10 inaccessible to unqualified persons.
The inner rear face of the wall 11 is provided with a series of fixing lugs 42 making it possible to detachably mount support plates 43, partition walls or supports for electrical equipment, as required.
In fig. 1, three plates 43 are superimposed to be able to support the high and low voltage electrical cables, telephone and computer.
In the variant illustrated in FIG. 5, the tabs 42 carry, by means of a support piece 46, a socket 45 engaging in an opening 47 provided in the cover 12.
With reference to fig. 6, an interior outlet 48 is mounted on the legs 42. A support plate 43 is also provided, while the network wiring 49 is housed at the bottom of the channel 10. An electric cable 50 passes through this bottom through an opening suitable for plugging into socket 48.
The construction and operation of the hinge 14 connecting the cover 12 to the wall 11 are described more particularly with reference to FIGS. 2 to 4. This hinge 14 comprises a fixed support knuckle 52 secured to the wall 11 and a movable knuckle 53 secured to the cover 12. The fixed knuckle 52 forms a sort of ball joint around which the movable knuckle 53 constituting rotating turns a partially open hinge box. The fixed knuckle 52 has for this purpose a vertical branch 55, extending the wall 11 connected to two lateral branches 56, 57 intended to come into contact with the movable knuckle 53.
The latter has an upper wall 60 merged with the upper wall 36 of the cover 12 and two lateral branches 61, 62. In the closed position of the cover (fig. 2), the branch 62 of the movable knuckle 53 in the form of a slightly curved finger s' rests elastically against the end of the branch 57 of the fixed knuckle 52. A recess 63 provided in the middle part of the branch 57 gives the latter a certain elasticity. The upper wall 60 is provided with a rounded projection 64 taking in the closed position pressing against a recess 65 or notch provided on the upper part of the branch 57 of the fixed knuckle 52. The other branch 61 of the movable knuckle 53 has the form of 'an L and surrounds the second branch 56 of the movable knuckle 53 in the form of a hook.
The lower end of the branch 61 in L thus rests on the lower end of the hook branch 56, while the top of the hook branch 56 is pressed against the underside of the upper wall 60. The part median of the branch 61 is shaped so as to come into contact with the middle part of the hooked branch 56. Thus, in the closed position, when the pawl 38 and the hook 37 (fig. 1) are engaged one in the 'other, the movable knuckle 53 is firmly held without play on the fixed knuckle 52.
When it is desired to carry out work inside the channel 10, the pawl 38 and the hook 37 are separated and the cover 12 opens over a centimetric distance due to the elastic force urging the branch 57 against the branch 62 The cover 12 can then be lifted, while the movable knuckle 53 rotates around the fixed knuckle 52, until the lower end of the branch 62 penetrates into the hollow 65. When the cover 12 is released, the latter is now bare in the position illustrated in FIG. 3, because the lower end of the branch 61 in L is retained by the lower end of the hook branch 56. The cover cannot therefore close under its own weight, but is retained in this working position by its weight.
Fig. 4 illustrates the angular position of the cover 12, in which the latter can be removed or mounted to the frame. When the cover 12 is further raised from the position shown in FIG. 3, the end of the branch 62 slides along the hollow surface 66, while the lower end of the branch 61 in L emerges from the end of the branch 56. As the distance separating the two ends of the branches 61 and 62 is larger than the outside diameter of the hooked branch 56, the cover 12 can be entirely removed in this position by separating the two knuckles 52, 53. According to a variant, the grid 32 closing the duct 31 behind the channel 10 could be shaped so as to prevent the cover 12 from being removed from the wall 11 and that it is necessary to remove this grid before completely removing the cover 12.
The particular construction of this hinge thus allows the cover 12 to be held in the closed position without play of the cover 12 on the wall 11, an angular position of stable opening of the cover for carrying out work and an angular position for mounting and dismounting this cover. By the reciprocal characteristic shapes of the two knuckles 52, 53 in the manner of a cam profile for the fixed knuckle 52 and a cam follower for the movable knuckle 53, these different positions are obtained. In the closed position, the different parts of the knuckles 52, 53 also serve by mutual action of an elastic holding member. It should be noted that this hinge fulfills all of these functions without a pin, without fixing, without hardware and without other components.
In addition it allows easy assembly and disassembly and rapid and uncomplicated manufacture, by extrusion of aluminum profiles. Other materials, such as synthetic materials may also be used.
It is understood that the embodiment described above has no limiting character and that it can receive any desirable modifications inside the frame as defined by claim 1. In particular, the channel 10 can be manufactured for the entire length of a wall of a room where several channel elements 10 could be assembled longitudinally along a wall. Profiles 67 with rectangular section can for this purpose be introduced into the fixing lugs 68 (fig. 1) and locked on each channel element 10 by means of screws 33 (fig. 1).
The hinge 14 can be used for all lightening sheaths. It can be an integral part of the cover 12 and the wall 11 of the sheath. Of reduced width, it can also be fixed by gluing, welding, riveting or screwing on the cover 12 and the wall 11 of the sheath. The latter is particularly suitable for being integrated by superposition in a plinth comprising a lower zone for air conditioning / ventilation and an upper electrical distribution channel.
