Description

The invention relates to a support for a removable junction between at least two cables each equipped with a connection socket.

The problem which the invention aims to solve is to propose a support making it possible to guarantee that, once it is closed by means of a lock, each socket and each junction piece is present on the support and correctly connected, and does not cannot be removed voluntarily or not without opening the lock. In addition, the closure of the support by means of a lock should only be made possible if each socket or junction piece is actually present.

To this end, the support according to the invention comprises a housing comprising an opening arranged to receive the two joined sockets, first abutment means provided on the housing and cooperating with the sockets to oppose their separation, a cover for closing the housing, a key lock mounted on the cover and a latch mounted on the housing or vice versa, the lock being arranged to authorize the operation of the key and its removal only when the latch cooperates with the lock, the arrangement of the lock and the latch being such that the latter can only cooperate with the lock when the cover is in a position ensuring the closure of the housing, and second stop means provided on the housing, arranged to cooperate with the cover and with the sockets so that in the absence of at least one of the sockets, these means oppose the closure of the housing.

A lock 19 is mounted on the outer face of the cover 17. This lock, known in itself, is part of an overall security system on a site. It has a so-called "flying" key 22 and is arranged to cooperate with a latch 24 pivotally mounted on a rod 25, itself fixed perpendicularly to a face of the flap 20 opposite to that carrying the flange 21. At the free end of the latch 24 is coupled so as to be able to move in translation over a determined stroke, a secondary key 23.

On pourra notamment choisir un verrou de la Société CASTELL-TRAYVOU, portant la référence MOL 85.The introduction of the secondary key 23 into a specific orifice of the lock 19 authorizes the rotation of the flying key 22 for locking the secondary key 23, then the removal of the flying key. We can in particular choose a lock from CASTELL-TRAYVOU, bearing the reference MOL 85.

Three rods 31, 32, 33 are mounted juxtaposed between the two angles 6, 7 parallel to them. Each rod is held by its ends by means of two supports 34, 35 so as to be able to move in translation along its axis. It is recalled in one direction by a helical spring 36 mounted in the support 34. The two supports 34, 35 are fixed respectively on the sides 3 and 2 of the frame 1. Each rod has three circular grooves 37 distributed over its length.

Three leaf springs 38, 39, 40 are mounted on the cable junction support, and in line with each rod 31, 32, 33. Each leaf spring has one end 41 fixed flat either on a plate 43 mounted on the frame between its longitudinal sides 2, 3 and the angles 6, 7 (for the springs 38, 39), or on the longitudinal side 2 (for the spring 40). Each leaf spring forms a loop which has two holes 44, 45 through which the latter is traversed by the corresponding rod, and ends with a free end 42 perpendicularly crossing the plate 43 (springs 38, 39) or the longitudinal side 2 of the frame 1 (spring 40), in a slot 46 formed therein.

In the position where the helical spring 36 is relaxed, the grooves 37 of each rod are arranged in line with the holes 45 of the leaf springs. The elasticity of the leaf springs tends to separate them from the cable junction support, so that the edge of their holes 45 abuts against the bottom of the grooves 37 of the rods: the rods 31, 32, 33 extend in part outside the frame 1 and cannot then be moved in the direction of the support 34. As a result, they oppose the closing of the cover 17 which abuts against their ends.

When a cable joining element 50 is, as explained below, correctly placed in the cable joining support, it pushes the leaf spring corresponding 38 to the cable junction support, which has the effect of detecting the hole 45 of the leaf spring relative to the groove 37 of the rod 31. This rod then no longer abuts against the leaf spring and can be moved towards the support 34, thus authorizing the closing of the cover 17.

Depending on requirements, it is possible to increase the number of leaf springs for adaptation to a larger number of cables, or to a larger number of junction elements, according to a matrix type extension.

Two bars 51, 52 are fixed to the ends of the cable junction support. Each bar is folded in the shape of a U, one of the wings of the U being fixed along a transverse side 4 or 5 of the frame 1, the other wing of the U supporting a plate 53, 54. On each plate 53, 54 are screwed transversely three threaded rods 55 carrying at one end a handle 56, and at another end a movable jaw element 57 pivotally mounted on this end.

On the face of the longitudinal side 3 of the frame 1 which is distant from the angles 6, 7, is fixed flat and longitudinally a flat bar 61 made of copper carrying at each of its ends a transverse tab 62, 63. The tabs 62, 63 pass through each a light 64, 65 formed in the side 3 of the frame 1 and each support a screw 66, 67 fixed on the tab.

A wing nut 68, 69 is coupled to the frame 1 by means of a chain, near each lug 62, 63, to cooperate with the screws 66, 67.

A claw 59 known in itself is fixed to the longitudinal side 2 of the frame 1, or at another point taking into account the arrangement of the support on the site, and allows this frame to be connected to a grounding conductor. It comprises a screw 60 which can be operated in order to pinch this conductor, and it is connected to the flat bar 61 by a bar of the same kind, not shown in the figures.

Finally, the two longitudinal sides 2, 3 of the frame 1 each have two holes 70 allowing the fixing of the cable junction support on a wall. This fixing can also be ensured by two through holes 47 provided on the wings 8 of the two angles 6, 7 respectively.

The cable joint support described above can be fixed to any horizontal, vertical or inclined surface, for example on a floor, a ceiling or a wall. It can in particular be fixed to an inclined wall portion of a tunnel, in a position shown in FIG. 1, in order to support the supply cables of a tunnel boring machine. Such a support will be provided at each junction between two sections of cables.

Par ailleurs, chaque prise mobile 77 est traversée par une tresse de mise à la terre 80.In FIG. 6, three single-pole cables 71, 72, 73 isolated represent the different phases of a three-phase supply network, and are connected to three other cables 74, 75, 76. Each cable end is equipped with a socket isolated female mobile 77, having an annular rim 78 (FIGS. 4 and 5). Two mobile female sockets are connected together by an insulated connecting piece 79 having two male ends. Furthermore, each movable socket 77 is crossed by a grounding braid 80.

The junctions between the various cables being made, an operator firstly deposits the junction between the cables 73, 76 in the rounded bottom 11 of the oblong recess 10 of the angles 6, 7. The length of this recess is less than the diameter outside of the annular rim 78 of the mobile sockets 77, and the distance between the angles is hardly greater than the distance separating the two annular flanges 78 from a junction. The junction is thus immobilized in translation and the two sockets 77 are held against the junction piece 79, even if traction is applied to the cables 73, 76.

Then, the junction between the cables 72, 75 is deposited on the previous one, the edges 78 of one resting on those of the other. Finally the third junction between the cables 71, 74 is deposited on the previous one.

In this situation, the bodies of the mobile sockets 77 are supported on the leaf springs located to the right of the two rods 31 and 33, while the bodies of the junction pieces 79 are supported on those located on the right of the rod 32. The operator then rotates the flap 20 so that its flange 21 comes to bear on the junction made between the cables 71 and 74, then it flaps the cover 17 on the flap 20 by applying pressure in order to bring the junctions into their stop position.

The operator then pivots the latch 24 in order to introduce the second key 23 into the lock 19, to lock it by rotating the flying key 22, and to remove the latter. The flying key, unique for an installation comprising a plurality of cable junction supports, is thus made available for locking out a neighboring support or maneuvers in a station for the power supply of the installation. It should be noted that the latch 24 can only be brought above the latch 19 if the cover 17 has been completely folded down until it occupies a position perpendicular to the plane of the frame 1.

It will also be noted that the incorrect positioning or the absence of only one of the mobile sockets 77 or of the junction pieces 79 causes the blocking in translation of a rod and consequently prohibits the closing of the cover. At the level of an entire installation comprising several junction supports connected to each other, it will be noted that the incorrect positioning or the absence of any one of the many junction elements is sufficient to prevent the locking of the support concerned and therefore to prohibit the release of the key which conditions the tensioning of the entire installation.

The operator then brings the movable jaw elements 57 closer to the fixed jaw elements 58 to grip each cable near the junction. The earthing braids 80 of the three cables of a section are fixed by their free end to the screw 66 or 67 mounted on the frame 1, by means of the corresponding wing nut 68 or 69. Furthermore, a conductor of non-insulated grounding 81, stretched along the wall on which the support is fixed, is brought into the grounding claw 80 and the screw 60 thereof is operated to pinch the conductor 81.

It will be noted that in the case where the three cables 71, 72, 73 do not have to be connected to the other three cables 74, 75, 76 but constitute "dead ends", the operator has, instead of the three sockets 77 of cables 74, 75, 76, three female insulating plugs each provided with an annular flange.

The support shown in Figures 7 and 9 is a variant of the support described above and allows not only a junction, but at the same time a cable diversion. The parts common to the two types of support are given the same references.

La plaque 100 porte par ailleurs le rabat 20 utilisé dans le support de jonction de la figure 1.Between the angles 6, 7 of the junction and bypass support, can be removably mounted either the solid plate 16 of the junction support (Figure 1) in the case where only a junction is to be made, or a plate 100 (Figures 7 and 9) in the case where a junction and a bypass are to be made. The plate 100 has an oblong recess 101 passing through it almost completely and opening at one end. An L-shaped angle iron 102 has two wings, one of which is fixed to the plate 100 so as to extend along the oblong recess 101 and the other of which supports a rod 103 mounted in the same way as the rods 31 to 33 and arranged parallel thereto. Along the rod 103 are mounted three leaf springs 104 similar to the leaf springs 38 to 40. The plate 100 also carries the flap 20 used in the junction support of FIG. 1.

A hinge pin 105, 106 is fixed on the two bars 51, 52, near the plates 53, 54 and parallel to these, by means of two legs 107. A support for jaw elements 108, 109 in the form of U is pivotally mounted on each articulation axis, by means of two legs 110. It comprises two wings, one of which carries three fixed jaw elements 111 and the other three movable jaw elements 112 displaceable by means of a joystick 113.

Each jaw element support 108, 109 carries a locking tab 114 having a tapped hole arranged to cooperate with a wing screw 115 rotatably mounted on one of the legs 107, so that it can be locked in a perpendicular position in the plane of the frame 1 (support 109, FIG. 7). Furthermore, the frame 1 carries, on each of its transverse sides 4, 5, a clip 116, 117 arranged to receive a rod of one of the movable jaw elements 112 of a jaw element support 108, 109 when the latter is folded against the adjacent bar 51, 52 (support 108, FIG. 7).

Each bypass socket 126 is a female socket and has an annular flange 127. It is connected to the two junction sockets 77 by a junction-bypass piece 128 having three male ends.

For the purpose of mounting the cables on the support of FIGS. 7 and 9, the junction between the cables 71 to 73 and the cables 74 to 76 is first made, and the connection between these and the branch cables 131 to 133. With the plate 100 removed and one of the jaw element supports 109 deployed, the cables are successively deposited in the support. The plate 100 is then slid between the angles 6, 7, the annular rim 127 of the bypass sockets cooperating with the plate 100 to retain them. The bypass sockets 126 are supported on the leaf springs 104 so that the rod 103 can be pushed in by the flap 20. The flap 20 and the cover 17 are then folded down in order to lock the second key 23 and release of the flying key 22. The levers 56 are then actuated to pinch the junction cables 71 to 73 and 74 to 76 and the levers 113 of the jaw element support 109 are actuated to pinch the branch cables 131 to 133. grounding of the braids of sockets 80, 125 and of the frame 1 are finally produced.

In the event that the operator has forgotten to deploy the jaw element support 109 before depositing the cables in the junction and branch support, provision may be made for the hinge pins 105, 106 to be removable and immobilized in translation by pins passing through the tabs 107. Thus, the disassembly of the shafts makes it possible to remove the support of jaw elements to place it in its locked position. .

In the case of the junction and bypass support, it will be noted that the fact of providing the latch 24 coupled to the movable plate 16 or 100 guarantees that the operator will not forget to mount this plate.
